My parents have shopped at this store for years and spent thousands of dollars here last weekend,…read moreme, my boyfriend, and my boyfriend's friend went in there to buy a new hat, and when our friend was trying to pick out a hat to buy, the owner told him that he wasn't allowed to touch the hats because it would make them dirty, and then on top of that when me and my boyfriend were browsing the store, the owner was following us around the entire time making us so uncomfortable. He was making it seem like we were going to steal something. I stood next to the keychains for about five minutes, and when I walked away, he went over there and counted every single keychain trying to make it seem like I pocketed one. My boyfriend and his friend are loggers and maybe they looked a little dirty while we were in his shop, but they make great money and they were ready to shop and now we will never be back and neither will my parents.

It wasn't easy at first, like many locally owned mountain town businesses they open late and close early, lol. But once they opened it was worth checking out! They have a nice selection of hats, T's, and button down shirts. The real gem was the owner. What a super nice guy he turned out to be. We really enjoyed talking with him. He went into the shop and tried on a pair of slip-on sandals. Happy with the shoes he tried on, the employee went to the back and brought out a box. My son paid and left. He only wore the shoes into the Podiatrist office. The Podiatrist informed him he was sold women's shoes that was why they didn't feel right. When he took the shoes back they would not exchange them for the men's shoe he was supposed to get. He had to pay for yet another pair of shoes. Upon returning to the store with my son, the man (possible owner) was rude and unwilling to make THEIR mistake right. We will never shop there again and we will definitely be sharing our experience with everyone we know! It is a shame when you want to support a local store and the customer service is so pathetic.

When I was checking out, she looked very upset and looked like she didn't want me in the store. Before I left, I said, "happy 4th of July!" and she did not respond, say goodbye or thank you. I'm an Asian American. As soon as I left she greeted the other white customers with a smile and started conversations. Just FYI for those that are not white. I was very uncomfortable and felt very unwelcome. I wouldn't come back here even though I like the store products.
