I can't believe I haven't reviewed this store yet. I love this place. I always find *something* I want in this store. They have a great selection of jewelry (not like JEWELS, just like cute pieces), sun glasses, shoes, bags, scarves, clothes, lingerie, etc. I believe they also now have men's clothes upstairs (but my husband says they are pretty pricey for men's). The accessories are priced pretty reasonably. The clothing is a little more spendy but not outrageous, especially for a botique type store. I would say clothing generally starts between $30-40, and runs upward of $60-70. I just got a cute pair of earrings for $14, and picked up a necklace for my sister for $12. The staff is always helpful and very friendly, and they have a good sale rack right outside the front door. It's definitely worth popping in! read more

Definitely don't come here if you're a teenager or look "different" because these staff will DEFINITELY judge you by your appearance. They should hire younger people if they don't want a bad rep, because the older ladies are so incredibly judgmental. There is no need for you guys to sneak around and stare at younger costumers!!! FIVE STARS! I love this boutique! Right on Main Street in Placerville - down by the Mel's end of the street. Park in the small lot across the street or on street parking. The store looks small from the outside, but it's actually HUGE. All the employees were helpful and friendly. We felt welcomed inside. They have gorgeous boutique style clothes.... They sell Taos shoes too. Lots and lots of jewelry. I ended up buying like six pairs of their tiny earrings because they were so cute and unique. They have purses and scarves. I think it's the perfect place to find that one of a kind outfit or jewelry piece. They have a line of lotions and body products and I bought some of those too. I like shoes and I like clothes. What is great about this store is they have clothes for men. They have incredible selection of Liverpool jeans for men which are awesome as well as a variety of shirts that are Pendleton to a variety of selections such as salty Crew. The staff here understands customer service and they will even offer you a specialty coffee as you shop. They carry the Sasquatch soap and personal care products for men. Their shoe selection is also awesome and if you are into hats they have a variety to select from. From the owner to their entire sales team they make shopping her not just an event but an expereince. I would say that this store is the Jewel main Street Placerville. If you are woman ask for Nancy Mathis she will take care of you but know all the ladies are great. 3 days ago I would've rated them a 5! This was my favorite boutique until I tried to exchange 2 perfect pairs of uggs for a different size. The 2 ladies I approached were not friendly at all & simply said they were final sale. The other one (store manager) said we tell everyone they're final sale when checking out. I said no one told me that! They simply shrugged & I left baffled & embarrassed as to how they could treat me like this after I've spent so much money there. I try to shop local & have referred so many people there so it's really a shame. They couldn't even be nice about it?! This is my favorite shop on Main Street in Placerville,CA. I hate to call it a boutique because most folks conjure up images of chichi vacation resort clothes for seniors. But nope. This shop is a far cry from that. They sell men and women clothing that are stylish and on trend. Not that I am either of that. This place helps with that. The shop has women's clothing for styles for teens and up. From youthful bohemian to modern classic to relaxed country. The styles you will find on a social influencer's IG or in fashion magazines. They have barely there sundresses and shorts and tops; jeans; sweaters; tops; costume jewelry; sandals; boots; hats; sunglasses; purses; wallets; scarves; candles; etc. I personally find most of the clothes too hip for me. Plus I'm not describing the merch well enough to do them justice. Heck, just drop on in. Main Street Placerville is filled with restaurants and shops, plus Apple Hill is up the Interstate. The men's section carries the brands of Brixton, Pendleton, and Salty Crew. They also carry baseball caps, hats, belts, shaving accessories, sunglasses, and gift items. read more

Love this store but don't love the prices. It's got a great selection of men's and women's clothes but everything is way overly high priced. The staff is super weird and suspicious of everyone as if they are going to steal. Seems like a projection since they are kinda stealing by charging so much, lol. This is such a great boutique! Made even greater by the face that hey carry a wide range of sizes! I'm "midsize" Somewhere between strait and plus sizing and boutiques rarely carry clothes that fit me (or anyone in a larger body!). I found the cutest top here when I was visiting from Denver! Alas! A cool day! The hubby and I head up to Placerville for apple donuts, we detoured onto Main Street. First my eye catches the beautiful window front. Oooooooooh prettttty!!! I step into Ambience. It's nothing like the dreary fatigued shops that have plagued this area. No! It's beautiful and fresh and dare I say, chic chic chic! Great clothes with even better price tags! They have a very extensive jewelry selection. Also shoes, sunglasses, and other happy little findings! This store is impeccable and spacious. More importantly was the exceptional service. Friendly and helpful! All the shoppers were happy and attended to. I bought unique earrings and a wonderful soft pink blouse/sweater. What a cute addition to Main St! Placerville really lacks in the cute women's clothing category (Im sorry, but I think the Ross's and TJ Maxx's of the world just send the crap that doesn't sell at their locations to their stores in Placerville...they don't count), so I really hope this place does well. The outfits they have on display never fail to draw me in. Although sometimes some of their apparel choices are a little too country bumpkin for my taste, I guess that comes with the territory. They have a fantastic jewelry selection (Alex & Ani woop woop!), boots and even a small underwear section! My mom and I ended up leaving with new sunglasses. Both pairs were priced pretty fairly. Pricing for the clothing in here fluctuates. I found a cute little romper that was between $30-$40 (I can't remember the exact price), but then I also found a plain cotton top that was almost $50. Lot's of different brands means lots of different pricing I supposed The decor inside is so well put together and everything is always well organized. The customer service is lovely. A wonderful boutique that carries LOTS of unique and nifty items from jewelry to clothing, and accessories. Being a local I don't often visit shops in town, so I am glad I popped in with my hubby yesterday, leading us to discover Ambiance, whilst window shopping. Overall they have great customer service. We were visiting placerville today and I stumbled upon this little gem. I am so glad that I did because I found so many things that I just loved. The store is so cute and inviting with the cutest clothes, jewelry and shoes. Elvira and Tabitha helped me and were so sweet with my toddler as well.
