I purchased a firearm online and accessories and had the company ship to SOO for FLL purposes. When…read moreI went in to sign paperwork and claim the accessories, he refused to hand over the accessories and told me he would be sending them back to the original company. I had my credentials, Real ID, and paperwork in hand to prove I could own (and take home that day) those accessories. Brian the owner refused to work with me. I told him I purchased the items from another company who also used my credentials. He refused to hand over my bought items. After trying to work with Brian, I found it was better to have him ship my firearm and accessories to a valley FFL. He told me he would wait a few days to send it. He also told me the other FFL would refuse to hand over my bought products. I called that valley FFL and explained everything. They told me they would take care of me as long as I brought my credentials and would give me my purchased items. I called two other FFLs who also told me Brian was in the wrong and they would help me. I would not recommend this store. The owner is rude, would not hear me out, and would not take ownership of the misunderstanding. Don't send your firearms here for FFL purposes. I suggest going to the valley or through another FFL you know. I will no longer do business with SOO.

I was unable to get any assistance at the gun counter. After waiting sometime, I left. I was never acknowledged the entire time I was there in the early afternoon on a midweek day. I saw another gun store (Sierra Outdoor Outfitter) across the street and was immediately helped with my questions. The guy was knowledgable and helpful. I'd recommend Sierra Outdoor if you want quality service and a nice selection.

I learn faster with practical applications and tutors. Tutors with hooters is even more fun. Hahahaha. The jacket reminds me of my Annapolis Maryland home since it is the sailing capital of the world and the Naval Academy is there. Looks like a good jacket for sailing on cool days. Do yourself a favor and go see Eric at Earth and Ocean before buying something online that looks…read moregreat in advertisements and reviews, but doesn't work for you... And save yourself some money and frustration. The owner, Eric, is legit. He had the gear I needed for a guy my size: 170 ultra wide snowboard, size 15 boots and XL rear entry bindings (can be hard to find even online), and he beat the online price. However, after trying on the size 15 boots I thought I wanted (based on advertisements and reviews), I found the boots to be uncomfortable. Eric pulled out another model boot, but in size 14, and they were way more comfortable. They also fit in the rear entry bindings a lot better. Had I bought the gear I initially wanted online, I would have been stuck with boots that did not fit my foot right, and did not fit my bindings. Then I would have been stuck dealing with the return process, just to take another stab in the dark to try to find boots that would "hopefully" fit me and my bindings. After picking out my gear, Eric lined me up with the board and mounted my bindings based on my size and stance. He then heat fitted my boots. This was all done at no extra charge as it was included with the purchase. On a personal note, I enjoyed being in the shop. Eric spoke to me like we were old friends. He didn't rush me at all, and I was in there for a few hours while we picked out gear, mounted the bindings, heat fitted the boots and spent a lot of time just BS'ing. "Ma and Pop" shops are a dying breed, and so is the customer service that goes along with them. Don't be just another number to a billionaire dot-com that just wants your money and doesn't give a $&!@ about how your gear works for you. Go see people like Eric, who are the real deal, and love what they do. It was truly an enjoyable experience!

I think her name was Lindy (sorry if I got it wrong). She brought out some extra t-shirts for my friend to look at. My friend ended up purchasing a rose colored one. It was a very pretty shade. There were some adult humor shirts too! I will keep it PG and not share what some of the shirts said. But they cracked me up! Very funny! They had a lot of cute items at the gift shop. I'm glad we stopped in. I wish I would have brought my purse. I would have purchased a few items myself. For example, the Pinecrest t-shirt made from license plates. Super cute! The shirts were not too expensive, I think she paid around $22.00 for a plus sized shirt. Not bad, in my opinion. Distance wise, it is a short walk from the lake, and close to the art museum. If you take the trail it is a little longer than cutting across the parking lot. We followed the trail on the way in. Then, we were in a hurry to get back, so we chose to cut across! If I am in the area again, I would stop by the gift shop!
