The inside was pretty big with adult books in the middle, children's book on one side and crafts on the other - such as yarn, ribbons and even greeting cards. They also sold lotions, soaps and lots of book accessories. Staff kept to themselves and didn't really ask if we needed assistance finding books which I thought was odd, but they weren't necessarily unfriendly either. The few books I looked at, seemed to sell for face value and nothing was marked up or down. Overall, I thought it was a nice store and would stop in for another visit the next time I'm in town. We had such a great time at this antique shop in downtown Sonora! The lady at the counter was super nice and even let my kids each pick out a sticker, which totally made their day! We can always find something good to read, and the price is definitely always easy on the pocketbook. The lovely people who work here are very well informed. I was looking for a classic by Pearl S Buck, and she knew exactly where it was located in the store. I have confidence in these guys, and I know that I can check with them before I go look elsewhere. A must see for any avid reader or bibliophile.

I returned it and reordered the hardbound. Again, they shipped me a paperback and, just for good measure, refused to publish my truthful review (which Amazon asked for in the first place) as I am not allowed to say anything that might reflect badly on a seller. So, I ordered it from Barnes and Noble in Modesto. Not only was it the edition I wanted, it was ready in minutes and good value for the price. When I stopped by to pick it up, the clerk was cheerful, helpful, and an all-around good ambassador for the B&N brand. I had forgotten how good these folks are. Amazon lost a book buyer and reviewer. Barnes and Noble Modesto gained both.
