Very kind service from welcoming to check out. It was a rainy holiday and they were open which was really nice for our family including child to explore the store. Very clean and variety of selections for young children to older explorers and creatives. We ended up getting strawberry scratch and sniff stickers and two Sanrio blind boxes. The workers let us know the Sanrio were new. Value is always subjective I believe but to us, the stickers will definitely be used, and the Sanrio figurines will be played with and appreciated. This was the second time I've been in this store, and overall, it was very welcoming, helpful, and fun ambiance. We'll be back again next time in Murphys. read more

Loved this store! They had a little of everything and the prices weren't bad. I got a sticker, a Harry Potter Loteria, and a Barbie. The employees are so nice and helpful. I like this store but it is a little basic. I wish they had a better selection of cards, such as Bicycle playing cards and Uno cards. Yes they can sell you a deck of cards and yes they have the basic Uno deck, but if you want something more interesting you will have to look elsewhere. For example if you want Minions Uno or Star Wars Uno you have to order that on Amazon. I really like supporting local businesses so I come here first before ordering from the billionaire's web site. read more

This is a great independent toy store in the heart of Murphy's that I've been to for multiple years of camping trips at Big Trees with my kids. They love coming here every year and although many of the toys are the same each year, there are new ones. The kids especially like how they are able to play with some of the display toys which isn't quite the case in commercial places like Target. It's a nice break after hiking and swimming and other camping activities we do to have some time to play with a few toys. There is a variety of different toys but not a huge selection as this isn't a big box store, but a tailored boutique. I like the selection of games they carry and they do market some of the toys to campers which is pretty helpful. One star is knocked off as I've never received any customer service whatsoever. No one has been rude, but not even a warm hello when we've walked in the door and I've been here 4 or 5 times now over the years. The store has never been packed out where it makes sense not to say at least a hello or welcome which I guess I'd expect from a toy store like this. We'll continue to come though as our kids almost expect it now and it is a lot of fun to walk the aisles and see what they have. Gives us a good idea of what the kids want for Christmas now that we can't stroll through a Toys 'R Us anymore. read more

Well that is how I feel when I go into a toy store. I am instantly transported back to my childhood. The Murphys Village Toy Store and Bear Factory is throwback to simpler times. A time when all I had to worry about was if Mom would put Ho Ho's or Ding Dong's in my lunch. It is one of those small town toy stores. It is definitely nowhere near as big as FAO Schwartz, but it is certainly charming. They carry a nice selection of wooden, well-made toys (Melissa and Doug), puppets and a bear factory where you can create the bear of your dreams. Loves it. We LOVE Murphys Toy Store! My girls always want to go there, and I love it too! They have a wide selection of well made toys, in all price ranges... puppets, webkins, games, arts and crafts... for locals the birthday club is a wonderful help in buying toys for birthday parties. A child can "register" with a list of what he or she would like most, and if you buy something off the child's list you get a discount! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful... the make a bear machine is fun for the kids, and they have lots of cute outfits to dress the animals in.
