We were thrilled to pop into Heel to Toe Boutique not only for the exquisite clothing they feature, but, the outstanding customer service provided by Debra. She is such an exceptional, kind, caring & knowledgeable member of the boutique and with all heart!! My friends & I left the store with beautiful UGG slippers and with the feeling as though we gained a new friend in Debra. They carry David Kahn jeans, Sweet Pea tops & dresses to name a couple. Everything is neatly displayed on racks, tables or cases. The clothing hanging is always ironed & free of wrinkles! You're always warmly greeted when you enter, are left to browse at your leisure and graciously helped when needed. Often, Nikki, the owner is there and is very friendly and helpful in putting outfits together and giving opinions while you're trying on clothing. I love that they offer manicures & pedicures and would love to have one next time I'm in the area (I'll update if I do). It's best to make an appointment, but if they have time, they'll accept walk-ins. They have 2 plush pedicure chairs. There is also an aesthetician who does facials & waxing by appointment.

You can be first in line when the lifts open! There were several families there, but service was fast and efficient, and we were on our way in no time. The equipment was in decent shape. They have full Rossi rental packages. The boots were comfortable if not a little basic. The skis were in good condition. Everything looked fairly new. The poles were a little cheap, but who cares--they're just sticks right? We also got a demo package. Nicer Rossi boots plus Atomic skis. The previous week I tried the premium Rossi skis somewhere else, but these Atomics were hot. After I returned them, he offered to sell me a new pair that were on sale. Not this time, but I was tempted. The staff was friendly and knowledgable, without being overbearing or know it all. The were fast too. They sped us through our paperwork, we paid up front, and returned our stuff by 5:30 day of. Great experience overall!

I think her name was Lindy (sorry if I got it wrong). She brought out some extra t-shirts for my friend to look at. My friend ended up purchasing a rose colored one. It was a very pretty shade. There were some adult humor shirts too! I will keep it PG and not share what some of the shirts said. But they cracked me up! Very funny! They had a lot of cute items at the gift shop. I'm glad we stopped in. I wish I would have brought my purse. I would have purchased a few items myself. For example, the Pinecrest t-shirt made from license plates. Super cute! The shirts were not too expensive, I think she paid around $22.00 for a plus sized shirt. Not bad, in my opinion. Distance wise, it is a short walk from the lake, and close to the art museum. If you take the trail it is a little longer than cutting across the parking lot. We followed the trail on the way in. Then, we were in a hurry to get back, so we chose to cut across! If I am in the area again, I would stop by the gift shop!

I asked a simple question about what he recommended for fishing in the lake, and instead of helping me, he mumbled "f***ing idiot" under his breath. He didn't yell it at me, but I heard exactly what he said, and I don't appreciate being spoken about that way over a simple question. He was pointing toward the fishing bait in front of me, but with an entire wall full of different products, I couldn't tell which ones he was referring to. It's disappointing to be treated this way, especially when I've been coming here for years. Experiences like this also make me question whether there is a broader pattern of disrespectful or potentially discriminatory treatment at places around Strawberry and some of the smaller local businesses. I can't say for certain what motivated his behavior, but it left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome. I've spent thousands of dollars supporting businesses throughout this community over the years, and I've always enjoyed coming here. Unfortunately, experiences like this make me reconsider where I choose to spend my time and money. Customers deserve basic courtesy and respect, even when they're simply asking for a recommendation. This was not cool, and I definitely won't be coming back to this lake. I'll be taking my business and support elsewhere.

She is a great sales person and so without hesitation, I bought 3 pairs of these pants. I now realize I should have gotten MORE!!! Recently, I have searched high and low for more of these (sold out,) pants locally and even on the Internet, but decided to continue to support the small business Shirt Tales instead. I was hoping for more Capri pants which were out of stock. Instead, she offered to have her seamstress hem the longer pants to look like Capri's with the little side slit at the hem for a nominal fee. That is a person who goes all out to please her customers. Since I live 2 hours from the shop, I called and ordered them to be shipped. What was so adorable, was that the owner offered to meet me in a nearby city in the Bay Area to bring them to me since she is coming to visit a friend anyway. It really touched me how genuinely caring and sweet this owner is and how she is willing to go the EXTRA MILE. (Pun intended!) I am very glad to be a repeat customer and when I am in town I will always revisit her store. Meanwhile, ordering over the phone and having them shipped is WELL worth my time and money!
