Very nice store! It's been updated in both appearance and selection of items. A fine find and a must visit.

A lot of neat products in this little shop! I found a soft scarf in a lovely pink shade that I just love, and a pretty and unique handbag.

We are here camping so we are not "put together" like we usually are. The woman proceeded to follow us to the other side of the store where the shoes are and straight watched us like we were going to steal something. Very disappointing to be treated that way. Will never go back.

They have shifted to more fast fashion for lower price point options as I am shifting to sustainable slow fashion which has made it harder for me to shop there but I still feel they bring in products that end up being in my core rotation. But after a couple of trips with a friend there who asked, 'why do you go back when they treat you like that? I realized it's never been a comfortable experience to shop there. I am not the picture of a customer I see them treat with esteem and care--I like clothes and fashion in general but seem to always end up being half my Florida beach roots in the end and am not polished or 'on point' in my look. My friend pointed out how women who were that look were treated compared to me. Twice. She was right and I had always felt that way there but I thought that wasn't really my problem and who cares? But it stuck in my craw and after a recent very poor experience with a sales person who I typically enjoy, I quit going. Maybe she had a bad day but it felt ugly. I decided to quit going because of the customer service and my own personal shift to buying fashion that is more sustainable and ethical.

When the new owners took over in November of 2022, they renamed the store Rustic Rose Mercantile. From my understanding, I believe that the new owners kept much of the same vibe/ambiance as Rustic Roses, but they have added even more local artists and color to the store's whimsical displays. I stopped in here recently. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and welcoming. He was helpful whenever I had questions about their inventory. I didn't have much time to browse, due to time constraints, but I did spy a plethora of fun finds during my brief visit. I ended up purchasing a 'soft edged arrowhead shaped piece of what I believe is jade strung on a cord' necklace. The gentleman behind the counter (who I believe may be one of the owners) explained that a local family makes the necklaces and that they bring them by the store to be sold. Many of Rustic Rose Mercantile's showcased jewelry artists are local. Jill King is one my favorite local jewelry artists - and she has a stunning turquoise necklace being sold here - along with her other well crafted jewelry pieces. In addition to a plethora of local and vintage jewelry items, Rustic Rose Mercantile has decor items, clothing, candles, antiques, crafts and much more. Everywhere you look inside this spacious spot - you'll find something new. They even rent out a decent sized portion of their store to a local comic book seller/collector. My new jade necklace rests on me as I type this. I love the way that the coldness of the stone warms against me. Locally made warmth. Trust.
