I finally got it fixed and less than a week later white lines were all over my screen and it was not functional. I got it fixed at another store and was told that I had used parts in my phone which is likely why it broke so quickly. When I called for a refund I was told it was ridiculous and again "this never happens" and that he was offended that the other store suggested that he didn't use new parts. I paid $160 and had to spend another $140 for it to be fixed properly. No refund, only a hang up.

I didn't have anything very complex to fix, just a laptop that died on me and I needed a diagnosis that didn't cost an arm and a leg. I wanted to erase the hard drive before recycling it because I was pretty sure it was not worth trying to repair it. I'd researched the common problems with my particular model of Acer Aspire (overheating) and wasn't sure if it was worth trying to replace parts (only to not have them work). At first Matthew thought he could salvage the machine but the same problem of overheating kept happening while he was working on it. So he informed me it wasn't worth it, and just got my data, music, photos, and downloads off the hard drive (for which I paid $50). If he were able to repair the machine, he said it would've cost me $160. I trust these guys. Matthew is a genius. Service is so fast and so professional. They also have great deals on refurbs, ie: Mac desktop for $380 (wowza), Sony Vaio for $500, etc.
