*Somehow my review of Creative Catering & VIP ROOM was deleted so I'm reposting & addressing the owner's rude response* I truly wish we experienced the 5 star service everyone else in the reviews was afforded. We booked w/ this company based on the ratings we seen on Google & yelp. What was supposed to be such a great & fun day, turned into a nightmare & unnecessarily chaotic environment. In hindsight, a handful of the five star reviews seem to be from Yelpers who never made a review, have 0 photos, or have 1-2 reviews max. Any previous 1 star reviews were met with a snappy response & finger pointing. In our initial review, Tanya didn't hesitate to blame the party flow on us for arriving late & our family "bombarding" her small team. Tbh, our arrival had no impact to venue operations as they had no obligation/ contribution to the overall decor set up. They were responsible for: table settings (done the day prior), venue cleaning, appetizer & cocktail prep. All other details, vendors, etc. were handled by my fiancée & I. Tanya called the afternoon prior to our event to inform us they were setting up the tables (yay), asked if we'd prefer silverware on the tables or off to the side; we chose off to the side, then asked if we would be dropping any of our decor or alcohol off-- we said no because that option was never communicated to us prior to her calling. On the day of our event, everyone was clearly frustrated contributing to a tense environment however it wasn't clicking how the venue was underprepared & so overwhelmed. When we arrived to the venue at 2:15PM rather than 1:30PM due to traffic (iykyk), the 8 additional family there to help were waiting around for us when we arrived. We were unable to find our onsite event manager, Tanya, the sole person we've been communicating w/ throughout the planning phase. The first time we seen Tanya was right before the event started when she brought out the outdated cocktail list. There was a lack of advanced drink preparation (slicing cucumbers & cutting pineapple garnish) despite them having the ingredient list for the cocktails albeit outdated (3rd drink that was changed from a lychee drink to a simple tequila sunrise required no prep & they couldn't provide lychee anyway). We're still unsure how Tanya missed a vital aspect of the bar services when we explicitly emailed her a copy of the final cocktail menu just days before the event. After this, there was no one to discuss timelines with. This lead to them scramble prepping garnishes in front of the guests in line. It was so chaotic to the point the co-owner (Tanya's husb.) jumped in to help. I'm uncertain the impact of any add. help for decor affecting the venue team's flow in food & cocktail prep. on the day of as Tanya so blamed our family who came to help put our decor in place for "pulling her" from obligations of prepping hors d'oeuvres. I wouldn't think an experienced caterer/ venue owner would become so overwhelmed/ flustered with 1 decorator, MOB, 3 vendors, & 8 decor helpers (family) to the point that event aspects were overlooked. We didn't even opt for full catering at $65 pp, we elected for 5 hors d'oeuvres for $55 pp (absurd that the price difference was only $10 less than having a full service of salad, 3 apps, 2 entrees, and 2 sides). We actually asked if we could include a Caesar salad at the tasting in May & Tanya agreed but that salad was never brought out at the event. They're definitely ambitious but not for the right reasons & realistically not equipped to handle client events at the guest volume they require. This venue is better suited for basic events. If the venue was able to keep up with changes, and actually knew what was in their extremely vague/basic contract, they could've communicated with us at any point to discuss our decor even more after we literally covered all decoration details for over an hour with our Uncle, Tanya, her husband, & MOB. Absolutely not worth the $ & headache it costs to host an event here. Dear Tanya, as a response to your prev. review response: Prejudism does not equate to racism, it means there is a pre-conceived judgement or bias against a person or group. That is not racism. There was clear tensions felt by the women involved in the party (2 brides & MOB) from your husband's controlling demeanor prior to & the day of our event. Also, please stop lying & playing the blame game when you truly know that we went out of our way to over-communicate with you between March - June; everyone was well aware that our uncle would be at the venue to decorate OUTSIDE at 8am per your direction & couldn't enter the interior until 1:30PM. There was no happiness at the end, just glad it was over. We & MOB were fully pissed off at the excuses given however we knew we wouldn't get anywhere & aren't confrontational. Booking our rehearsal and welcome event for our wedding at Creative Catering & Events VIP Room was the best decision we have ever made! Tanya and the entire team were fantastic! They took away all of the stress of the wedding planning process. When we had our initial call, I had a complete to-do list of what I needed to get done, and Tanya said to show up, and they would take care of the rest! They decorated the space beautifully, curated a fantastic menu for our guests, and allowed us to enjoy our time with our family. We had a very intimate wedding celebration and Tanya and her team understood it all! We want to take a moment and thank the bartender, Ryan, for his positive attitude & ability to eventually catch up to speed with our families. The guests really enjoyed Ryan's personality and could not stop telling us how they continuously tipped him generous amounts per drink just because he was kind and personable. However, the planning to execution phase with the venue owners was not as positive. From start to finish, we felt the communication about what was granted & available to us was not so forthcoming and actually difficult to obtain. We had to ask multiple times about the same things that are usually clearly outlined from the start. We asked several times about linens options, table dimensions, etc. & got the same response for almost 2 months "we have this in house (crinkle) linen & tables are various sizes some 6 footers & some 8". It took until the day of our tasting in May to actually realize they had an entire book from their vendor. It had many plain, non-textured linen to choose from. Tanya laughed it off joking "oh I didn't show you this before?" By this time, we had already purchased (10) linen elsewhere, informed the venue about it & even brought it in 3 times for fitting on various sized tables since all were unsure of the actual table dimensions. Not once did they communicate no need to buy linen. Thankfully we were able to put 4 of them on their bar tables (perfect fit) so it wasn't a complete waste of money. Looking back, we realize this could've been a red flag to book elsewhere since we practically begged for information other clients seemed to be given so easily. We initially toured in March and re-toured in April, booked the venue & gave our deposit in April; we visited the venue 2 more times after this -- once with the MOB and uncle who'd be decorating with our own decor and once more on our own for the tasting. During the visit with our uncle, we spent about 1.5 hours literally discussing set up layout, set up / tear down times, and he asked them repeatedly if it was okay he comes day of at 8am to decorate the exterior. Tanya agreed informing him he would ONLY be able to decorate the outside and would have to wait until 1:30PM for our contracted set up time to work on the interior, fine no issue with that. Her husband didn't seem too keen to this as we personally caught & felt the intensity of his glaring stare at her as soon as she gave us the okay. So many things went wrong on that could have easily been avoided with more care & attention to the numerous communications we've sent them during planning phase: * Owner Attitude: Tanya's husb. displayed controlling, rude, and lazy behavior towards me, my fiancée, and MOB. We brought this issue of his attitude up multiple times during planning to which Tanya apologized. Behavior was repeated again the day of the event trickling down to our guests. Honestly, not sure if they're uncomfortable with us being so young, our lgbt community, or if he flat out just doesn't think women should lead. The attitude began AFTER we had already paid them a $2300 non-refundable deposit. * Short Staffing: not communicated to us, we found out through security. Tanya claims full staffing but what we received at our event was 1 elderly server & Tanya's husb. (co-owner) acting as a second server, 2 young adults in the back as "bussers", 1 onsite manager (Tanya) who we barely seen/were able to communicate directly with all day, and 1 bartender. You can clearly see in posted yelp photos 3-4 people serving FULL course meals so I am unsure how we were not afforded the same w/ simple hors d'oeuvres. Genuinely, the elderly man should've been bussing so the flow of the food was smoother and more apparent to our guests. Some guests sitting directly left of our sweetheart table (1st table closest the kitchen) mentioned to us that they were only offered to try 2 out of the 5 selected hors d'oeuvres. * Raw Seafood: Venue sent out a batch of raw mango coconut shrimp, when the bride called it out to the guests outside, Tanya's husb. was quick to grab the shrimp out of her hands. We were met with an apology & there on out Tanya was "temping" everything. But that should not have occurred if the shrimp were the same as what we had at tasting (the sizing difference between tasting and D.O.E was very obvious). *AC Leakage: Inside the venue was just as hot as outside. The AC was supposed to be "blasting" but we could hardly feel it at the sweetheart table. By the EOD, we came to find out the AC vent was over our table because it leaked AC fluid, soaking our backdrop damaging the draping, all over personal items, & all over my shoulders. Response was "we don't have control over the AC, the landlord is responsible for that" followed by insinuating our guest(s) were to blame-- guests who had no idea where the thermostat would be. I fell in love with Tonya the moment we met. She made us all feel comfortable. Easy to work with and very accommodating. Wow! Tanya and her staff were amazing this week during our daughter's July (major heat wave) wedding reception for 60 people. My daughter and her fiancé chose the menu. It was designed for all ages. They/we went with two mains (tri tip and chicken Alfredo), two sides (roasted veggies and mashed potatoes), caesar and garden salads and rolls. We also had tray served appetizers of crab cakes, stuffed mushrooms, and meatballs. Everything was perfect! Everyone had plenty to eat and all dietary issues were accommodated. I hired Creative Catering sight unseen from 3000 miles away to cater a rehearsal brunch for my son's wedding in Temecula. Our guests included vegans as well as carnivores. Creative Catering catered my wedding on 06/26/2021. I have been so upset about what happened - which is why it has taken me so long to write this review. They were scheduled to begin set up hours before they got there - they were so late. For hours I was checking with my wedding planner every 30 minutes asking if they were there yet. They had the timeline from my wedding planner well in advance and everything. They arrived right before the ceremony was due to start, which was beyond stressful for me. I knew it was going to throw off everything. I still do not know why they were late, what happened, nothing. Anyway, due to their tardiness, dinner took hours. My husband and I were served first, and ate two - three hours before the last guest was finished. It threw off our entire timeline (which for a wedding is down to the minute) for dancing, photos (did not get family photos due to most of the family still eating), special dances/activities, etc. We very purposely scheduled quite a few hours of "party" time - because that is what we were most excited for. When a wedding is only 5/6 hours, those are precious moments that were unfortunately for the most part - taken away. We got 45 minutes of dancing, if that, and everyone was confused when it was over due to catering taking up the real majority of the entire night. We did not get to cut/serve cake, as well as many other little moments we had planned for. Due to us trying to push the timeline back 30 minutes for what we could control (DJ, grand exit), it ended up being even more costly than what we planned. Tanya was amazing through the whole process. That is why I did not leave this to be just one star. She is so sweet and was fantastic with e-mail correspondence. But my heart was broken about how the day I looked forward to most, was handled by her and her team. They also did not acknowledge any of this, even all this time later. Catering is the most expensive part of a wedding budget by far, and I was left wishing so badly I went with a different company. read more

Tanya was really great to work with! We planned our wedding in three months and she was so quick to respond, set up a tasting, and she executed everything just right. It was important for my family to have my papas famous spaghetti and sauce at the wedding, and although it was not her food, she still put it in the buffet line and had her team serve it. As someone who works within the wedding industry, I wanted to be sure I had the best of the best for my guests! Tanya is super easy to work with and very responsive & helpful. Our tasting was amazing and food was to die for (especially the asiago cheese stuffed mushrooms). I loved too how they offered tray-passed appetizers and servers, which was very important to me as we had an outdoor venue. The buffet set-up was also with servers (which was important to me as I don't like when guests serve themselves). My guests raved about the bourbon-glazed meatballs for apps (I heard people were "fighting" over them) and the chicken marsala for dinner (my personal favorite as well). I highly recommend the family run business, Creative Catering/VIP room. Tanya and her husband are personable, hardworking and create delicious meals. We had a Friday night dinner and Sunday morning brunch for 80-90 people. The venue is perfect, easy to find right off the 15 freeway in an outside mall. Guests can easily find it because it's a few doors down from AMC Theater. Tanya was easy to work with and guided us with menu choices, linens, rental heaters, etc. The venue set up and decor is clean, modern and needs no additional decorating unless one wants a special theme. 04/22/2022 I don't know where to begin!! My husband received a promotion at work and wanted to have a last-minute celebration ( 3 weeks in advance ). I'd remember attending their Frank Sinatra show and had an amazing time, therefore contacted Creative Catering. Tanya responded quicky to my email, we scheduled one appointment to choose food and she took care of everything I needed in one day (Food, music, flowers, linens,tables ,chairs). She accommodated me to bring in drinks and dessert the day before. Once we arrived to the event they were all ready, venue looked gorgeous, servers look sharp, food was served on time (they even left it out a bit longer than schedule to accommodate late guest). I wanted an intimate wedding with good food, drinks and music. I also wanted a unique menu of fun finger foods with a little of both my husband and myself.
