The food was absolutely amazing. Chicken was moist and tender and not dried out like you usually get. The steak with chimichurri sauce was just as delicious and mashed potatoes to die for! From start to finish, communication was great! They were able to accommodate my special requests which were all around a pleasure to work with. We were assigned Temecula catering through our wedding venue. Our first tasting was terrible. The food given to us was cooked days before and microwaved. We could literately hear the microwave open and close. All the proteins were over cooked. When we told the "chef" the fish was over cooked he said "Oh I didn't know the pan was that hot". When we asked him about a type of cheese on a salad, he had no idea what type of cheese it was. The sauces were not reduced properly, they tasted like alcohol, they were chunky. We brought this tasting to our venues attention so we got a 2nd tasting. We were given the option to create our own menu and the tasting was much better, very promising. Everything was cooked perfectly and they modified small things for us. Then the wedding day came and the food was awful. We were embarrassed. We were suppose to get rib-eye steak, something similar to Lomo Saltado. The day of the tasting, thats what we got. The day of the wedding we had some nasty thin sliced meat with no flavor. The potatoes were undercooked and crunchy, they were supposed to be nicely baked. The veggies were also raw and under seasoned. We also asked for a vegetarian dish for one of our guest, when my guest went up and asked for it, they didn't have it for her. They served her raw potatoes and veggies only. This was suppose to be "buffet style", when some of my guest went back to get more sauce and chicken, they had already cleaned up all the food before dinner was over. I understand wedding food is usually terrible, but this is ridiculous. Don't trust what they tell you or what they serve you during your tasting. They have ONE head chef and a bunch of cooks with no culinary experience or training. If your venue requires you to use this company, run or fight to get different service. You're better off getting catering from a real restaurant. read more

Attended a wedding w Lake Oak Meadows. Everyone at our table loved the food. Hors d'oeuvres were super nice! Dinner exceeded my expectations. We scheduled a food tasting for my son and his now wife's wedding since they were out of state. When we arrived we were seated by Mabel who was a joy by the way and started tasting the most delicious food. We had appetizers, salads, the entree and side dishes. Let me tell you, this wasn't your typical wedding fare. The Caesar salad was wonderful with home made croutons and the dressing was amazing, and Caesar salads are not my first pick. The second salad was a green mix with feta, cranberries and home made candied walnuts with a vinaigrette dressing. Again, fantastic! The entree was a choice between lemon chicken and a mustard chicken. Not your typical wedding chicken. The lemon chicken was subtle and the chicken was cooked to perfection. The mustard chicken had a zing to it and was our pick for the wedding. The sides were a lemon zucchini and a spring mix vegetables. The latter was delicious. A mix of zucchini, broccoli, carrots and peppers with a fabulous sauce. Choose these vegetables!! The last two side choices were mashed red potatoes and Mac n cheese that was super cheesy. Food was great. Everything was very well prepared. But a major wedding flaw in food service. We didn't have enough food for everyone. An entire table of 20 people didn't get any of the main course. I gave an estimate of more people than we actually had to ensure everyone could eat well. All the food was distributed by food servers so the guests were not piling mounds of food on their plate. It's hard to not be extremely frustrated about this outcome. The real kicker for me was that last table that didn't eat was my co-workers and executives at my work. In addition, the servers took the ice from the bar area for the water glasses. My brother in law had to round up two guests to go 30 mins away to get more ice. Michael is very kind and he knows how to prepared quality delicious food. He was not on site that day for our wedding so it may have been whom ever was in charge that mismanaged the operation. There were other issues that occurred that I can live with, but when you add it all up it is a disappointment. read more

He was very quick and efficient with his email responses. His food presentations are spectacular and truly a sight for sore eyes but he didn't provide the same presentation for our wedding fruit table. We had to use a third party to supply the setup, presentation, whole fruits, decor and elevations for the display. So overall, it was more expensive than anticipated. read more

My wife and I were recently married at Lake Oak Meadows and used Temecula Catering for the food for our cocktail hour and reception! Our experience with them started with going to their location in Temecula for the food tasting where Chef David had prepared us our selections for the food and served us everything in the order that our guests would receive it. While the entire tasting was an awesome experience, Chef David went above and beyond when my wife really loved the brussel sprouts, but we weren't sure that everyone else would love them as much as she did. So we were able to compromise and remove one of the vegetables from the mixed veggies and replace it with brussels sprouts. The day of our wedding they catering staff arrived in plenty of time to get everything all set up and ready to go! As soon as the ceremony ended the guests were greeted with tray passed appetizers while the wedding party had them waiting as we went to take pictures! Chef David was there to oversee the entire dinner service, which made us feel much better as we knew the kind of work he was capable of! And he did not disappoint as dinner went off without a hitch! Dinner proved to be one of the highlights as everyone who we have spoken with about it raved about both the quality of the food and service that was provided!
