Today, I was craving a milk tea, but I wanted to check out a never boba and dessert sport and trusty ol' Yelp popped up with Kobing Dessert Studio not to mention their rating is 4.5 so i knew I had to see what they offer. They do not have a big drink selection, but what they do have is different from other boba spots and they do have a selection of desserts. The service is really good and they two employees were very friendly. The inside is super cute and cozy. I ordered the coconut strawberry cloud drink. It consists of coconut water and fresh strawberry milk. I added boba and coconut jelly to my drink. I will for sure be back the prices are great too!

I responded, "Yes, I'm ready, but whenever you are, no rush" because I could see they were busy cleaning and washing things in the back. One employee then asked the other in Spanish, "What did she say?" The other explained in Spanish that I had basically said to take their time and that there was no rush. The first employee responded with aa smug attitude comment along the lines of, "Well then, she's never going to order because we're busy," and they both started laughing and continued making comments about me in Spanish. Eventually, one of them came over and asked what I wanted to order. That's when I responded in Spanish and gave her my order. The look on her face immediately changed. She clearly had not expected me to understand Spanish, and the other employee stopped what she was doing and looked over as well. Suddenly, it was very obvious that they realized I had understood what they were saying the entire time. I think she even bypassed the tip option when charging me. She walked away before I finished and I asked for my receipt and she said I'll give it to you right now but never did. It was incredibly uncomfortable and disrespectful. I was actually trying to be patient and considerate because I could see they were busy, and somehow that became something for the employees to mock and laugh about. What bothered me most was thinking about how comfortable they were talking about a customer right in front of them simply because they assumed I couldn't understand Spanish. It makes me wonder what they say about customers who actually don't understand them. I left feeling judged, disrespected, and completely unwelcome. I will definitely not be returning, and based on this experience, I would not recommend this business to others. Customers should be treated with respect regardless of what language employees assume they do or don't understand.

We waited about 30 minutes for our foot to come out. The Banchan are all super delicious. The kimchi had a nice pickle to it and really primed the palate for the army stew. My favorite was the eggplant and simmered beans (?) but you honestly get so much variety it's worth it to just come and order a sudubu. Plus who can beat unlimited refills. The army stew is a hefty hefty portion and it comes with rice cakes, ramen, spam, sausages, and a pile of green onions; I think extra green onions would make this even better but I had so much leftover I ate this for 2 more meals after. I feel the flavors continue to mingle and when re-heated it just kept getting better. There's so much depth of flavor with the broth and there's a nice kick of spice at the end too. Honestly, the yogurt/ice cream is so GOOD Hands down!!! BUT, the business is so dirty and messy....The last time I went there, i saw a mop standing on the side of the store. old and faded pages on the doors. It also smelled like chlorine. I remember when it first opened and they had a really nice and clean atmosphere but they totally down graded throughout the years.....I hope they take some of these things into consideration because the staff there is really nice and I would love to go back I just wish it wasn't so messy and dirty.... read more
