First this restaurant is impeccably clean. It's also pretty. Then, there's the food. This is definitely a dumpling place. We both had steamed dumplings. (Signature/Pork) We also had the hot and sour soup. This soup is full of all the typical ingredients as well as a variety of fresh mushrooms. It was brought to the table piping hot. I had the spring rolls. They were delicate & delicious. All the food was well prepared, and the service was attentive. This is going to be my go to place for Oriental food. I was sad when pueblos closed, but excited at the sounds of the crazy dumpling, opening! When i got there, there was no wait (630pm on a Friday), so i was apprehensive. They have a help wanted sign on the front door and i think they need to make it bigger! There were four total employees. One server. The server looked overwhelmed the entire time i was there, i def felt bad for her! There was another lady who looked like she just walked off the tennis courts and got called in to work! Halter, tennis skirt, and a ball cap, no lie! The food was good! Service a little bit slow, but obviously bc of the short handedness. My friend and I went to crazy dumpling and it was so delicious. I had the beef soup dumplings and beef and broccoli. The beef and broccoli was honestly the best Chinese food I have ever had. Usually Chinese food makes me feel like crap the next day, and I did not have any issues at all after eating this. The soup dumplings were good but, dumplings really aren't my thing. But I think if you are into dumplings you will love them. We also had the scallion pancakes which were delicious. But would be nice if I had a little sweet and sour sauce with them. I read a lot about long wait times for food but my friend and I arrived around 8:00 PM and had no issue with getting our meal within 20 minutes or so. Maybe the key is to go a little later as we were the only people in there. I will definitely give them a 10 out of 10 and will be back. They also have Boba tea which I will try next time. read more

Crazy Dumpling - I have been on a Chinese food kick for the past few years... the spicier and more authentic, the better! I really enjoy Szechuan with Taiwanese being a close second. So, I recently learned they opened up a dumpling joint nearby and made plans to try it out. For me, making plans means to use all social media to research the place, look at the menu and pics and know the menu before going. Having done this and also conferring with foodie friends, I had a nice plan when I entered the doors of Crazy Dumpling today for lunch. The lady, perhaps the owner working the front was awesome, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! I opted for scallion pancakes, rice with chicken on top (basically "chicken fried rice") and soup dumplings. The rice dish came out first and it smelled amazing, looked fresh and very appetizing and tasted great! I spiked it up with some of the chili in oil they have on all the tables, but not to add flavor, I just prefer lots of heat. The soup dumplings came out next... beautifully presented in the steamer with gentle, rubber-tipped tongs to pick them up without breaking them. They tasted great! The soup inside was very flavorful, the filling was perfect in flavor and texture too. A great dish! Crazy, but my favorite thing was the scallion pancakes... they tasted incredible! The dough was like filo, flaky and gentle, yet loaded with flavor and the density was perfect. They also weren't greasy at all. They tasted even better with their garlic soy vinegar sauce on top! Yum!! The place is small on the inside, with many tables inside and out. Service was excellent. Prices are fair, on the low side, in fact. Overall, great experience! This place has everything I want when I go for Chinese food -fresh, flavorful, a ton of it and reasonably priced. My husband and I shared the chicken and string beans and the Dan Dan noodle soup and they were both delicious - hot, tasty and with just enough spice to make it interesting. The signature dumplings were made with house made dough and while really tasty, they weren't sealed very well so they came apart. The soup dumplings were busted when they served it to us and the dough on the wrapped had not been fully cooked(steamed) so it was chewy and elastic. The beef noodle soup was decent. The beef was seasoned great but the broth lacked depth of flavor in spices like clove or anise. It tasted like a basic broth that they could add into any of the noodle dishes and then just adjust the toppings as necessary. We also requested Spivey and it was just chili oil sitting on top. The pan fried pork bun was super good and cooked perfectly so we'd return for these and possibly the signature dumplings. They do offer American Chinese cuisine as well. This little gem of a place can be easily missed as you're going down the road. The parking situation is a little weird but we were lucky. They have dine in, take out and outside seating. We did take out since we were just passing through. It did not take long for our food but the tables inside filled up quickly. Hubby and I stopped here for a late lunch because a friend highly recommended it to us. I got some of the beef and onion dumplings and egg fried rice. hubby got cheese and crab dumplings which turned out to just be your typical crab rangoon and chicken fried rice and we also shared some pan fried beef buns. Everything was good but standard. I guess because it was raved to me I expect it to be amazing. The shop is fairly small inside but cute. You walk in, and immediately greeted by an incredibly loud high pitched sound that never goes away... you take a seat at your table, but before you sit down you brush a ton of crumbs off of your chair... you order the signature dumplings because it's a dumpling place right? Bland, not good, but hey at least you ordered pork buns too right?! Those are also bland, disappointing, and taste eerily similar to the not so crazy dumpling. Stopped by for an early dinner and will not be going back. Neither the food nor service is something I want to experience again. The food seems to be frozen cheap and salty products. And the soup dumplings are not soup dumplings but pre-frozen dumplings that can go in soup. The cheese dumplings are over cooked and therefore the cheese had left the dumpling. There are better dumplings at Walmart, not joking that is how bad crazy dumplings are. The service was horrible. The hostess/waitress was on the phone the entire time from before we showed up to while we were trying to pay. We had to ask for dishes and silverware. She brought out the food dropped it on the table and walked away. Our teas came out about half way through the meal. And it wasn't just us there, and we were not the only ones being ignored and frustrated. I love trying knew places and I am typically nice with my reviews. Went here this past Thursday and it was great! Small, maybe max indoor seating of 25. Small staff, two ladies working the floor and one person cooking. Food comes as it's ready so I recommend putting all your items in at once. The pancake, dumplings, kung Pao chicken and pork rice. Everything's was fresh, cooked perfectly, hot and delicious. There was a bit of a wait between appetizers and entrees, learn from our mistake and place the order all at once! Can't wait to go back, already plotting to bring friends this weekend. read more

Heard good things about this place. Was greeted at the door and seated quickly. Very clean and nice inside. We were given our menus and started to glance at it. Waitress brought over some waters also. There was a group already there and waiting for their food. Along with some other people too. Our waitress came over to take our order and unfortunately it was very tough to hear her and for her to understand us. The group was talking and it was very loud. Our waitress did her best explaining things to us and for us to hear her. Maybe need to figure out a way to help buffer the noise when there's more than a few in there. We received our food one order at a time and completely understand there were others ordering before us and that things are made I'm assuming as you order. My husband was not as happy with that for he felt it should've been together. But as I told him it's made as as they went. The General Tso chicken was good not as sweet as other places and was a little more salt to it. We had also Sesame chicken which was good not overly sweet but good. Then we had the Signature dumplings which were really good! Will go back and try a few other dumplings. Our waitress wasn't as attentive as I like for we had to ask for water midway through our meal. The food is fantastic however service was not so much. The space inside was clean however nothing has been done except a new coat of paint. The tables slide too easy and we had to keep adjusting it. There was a large group that took up most of the dining room and there is nothing to dampen the sound so it was like 20 people talking in an echo chamber very loud. The patio is infested with large carpenter bees all though not dangerous they are annoying and scary for kids. Our server said the two items I wanted on the menu either were not good or they didn't have it so we got something else. She also never came to ask if everything was ok or to refill drinks. I understand growing pains so we may try again based on food alone. read more

First off, the food is 5 star worthy. But the service is still growing through growing pains only being open a week at my experience. My wife and I didn't expect a lot on service, given other reviews. The staff was very friendly and they truly care. They just seemed overwhelmed which is understandable. If slow service and plates coming out one or two at a time bothers you, wait to go till they get more experience. This is not the date night place before you go to a movie or if you are on a tight schedule place (yet)....I think they can get there, but time will tell. The dumplings were amazing, as were the scallion pancakes, and a fresh take on kung poa chicken.
