He is very knowledgable and willing to do whatever is needed to do the job right and on time. Dan was incredibly friendly and helpful in answering all of our questions, gave accurate estimates and made sure that we were comfortable with the job and the timeframe. He gave us the most important thing - peace of mind that the job was going to be taken care of. I honestly wish every company was this easy to work with. Hiring Dan was the best decision our family could have made and I'd recommend him to anyone looking for flooring work. A++++

Kurtz Flooring remodeled our walk in shower at the end of last year. the previous contractor did a…read moreterrible job so we were excited to work with Gabe and Molly, as they came to us with an incredible reputation and didn't disappoint. They did a great job of explaining what they were going to do and why. We really appreciated the clear communication so our expectations were set from the beginning. Also, they were timely and efficient in the work days and tidied up at the end of each day! Our shower is now better than we could have imagined! We would highly recommend Kurtz to anyone look'ing for some home renovation work.

Beware of Southern Interiors. I contracted Southern Interiors to replace 600 sq ft of carpeting…read morewith Engineered Hardwood at a cost of $10,300. There were problems from the beginning: there was no follow-up, there was staff "turnover", time frames continued to change, and nothing that was promised (other than the material itself) was delivered. I went above and beyond what was asked of me by clearing each room of everything but the large pieces or furniture. The job took twice as long as promised. The workmen did nothing to protect my existing floors from their wet feet and did nothing to protect my furniture, mattresses, and box springs from the dust. Glue was tracked everywhere and never cleaned up by the workmen - I have 94 pictures of glue spots that I had to clean. The new flooring was never vacuumed or dry mopped. They broke my dresser mirror although I had suggested that they remove it prior to moving the dresser. The workmen treated my home as a "new build" job site rather than a house that people were living in. Five minutes after the workmen left, Donna H. arrived, without talking to me first, to collect payment since the job was "completed". When told that I wasn't prepared to pay at that time, she became belligerent. I felt like I was being bullied. When I told her that I could not recommend her company to anyone I knew, she said she was "sorry to hear that." She never apologized for my disappointment in her company's performance. Based on my recent conversations with other renovation companies, it seems that since Southern Interiors expanded beyond flooring and blinds, my experience is the norm, although reviews don't reflect it. Addition: In my original post I should have included that when I paid the balance due of $2,573 (less $257 for my work), I included 3 pages of documented job issues and over 100 photos. They cashed the check the day after it was received. I waited two weeks for them to contact me. When they didn't, I posted online reviews. It was only then that they tried to contact me because they felt my review was too "harsh". I felt no need to respond.

I was shopping around for someone to install some concrete blocks in a parking lot. JB (Justin) was the only person/business that made me feel that no job was too small or big. We discussed exactly what it was I needed and together we concluded on a price. Within 48 hours JB (Justin) had reached out to the concrete store, picked up the blocks, delivered, and installed them. Just like that the job was completed! The work was done professionally and exactly the way I wanted it, the first time. I couldn't have asked for more, a professionally completed parking lot. If time is of the essence and a professional nice job is what you are looking for again, I highly recommend JB (Justin). I was extremely satisfied with his work!

There is no doubt that the unglazed full color porcelain floor tile is the right choice but know what you are getting yourself into. Customer service is not always prompt and forget about trying to call. Everything was handled via email. Full payment up front for our order which was a small bathroom floor tile with a 3/4" border and a 1" hex field. Lead time will be longer than promised, for us at least 3 months. The tile comes mounted on a paper mesh, yes paper. The sheets of our hex did not line up with each other very well making installation very difficult. The spacing of the 3/4" border was also irregular but mostly due to slight variation in tile size as would be expected with handmade tile. The paper backing does not allow you make cuts on multiple tiles in a row because the paper just falls apart on the wet saw. Forget about dry cutting porcelain. Our cuts on the wetsaw chipped a lot because porcelain is vitrified and has a high surface tension. The tile was not packaged very well considering it's likelyhood for chipping and we ended up with some waste. I ordered 10% extra to be safe and don't regret it. ART assumes you can find a qualified installer so their installation instructions are minimal and my questions to clarify the setting material was unanswered. We went with modified thinset from Tec and it's holding down great but made cleaning of grout joints extremely difficult because of the easy chipping of the tile. I really wanted this type of floor for our 1926 bungalow bathroom but i won't go this route again. I think it will be beautiful in the end dispite it's flaws and irregularities.
