True hardwood wasn't an option for us due to some foundation issues, so we went with an engineered hardwood floor by Shaw. The Stewarts (yes, all of them) were on the job! The floor looks incredible, and we couldn't be happier. It took about a week to wrap up the job. After the install, we had a few questions about care and feeding of the new floor, and Jake was prompt with the info we needed. He even stopped by a couple of times while he was in our area to see if we had any questions or concerns. His family is some of the hardest working people I've seen recently, and I am truly happy we met them all. It probably sounds like I'm overstating our experience, but I'm not. He's classist and thinks he's too good and the product is too good for my investment. When I sent an email for assistance with locating alternatives, he never responded. The man is flaky and doesn't even know me and doesn't know my city as well as he thinks he does to presume that the house and its people aren't worth anything. Furthermore, if he did, he'd know that I've already spent $22,000 on this renovation project and that I'm not too low-end for the engineered wood flooring of my choice. I'd never been so disgusted in my life by a business. My money is as green as anyone else's in this country and I shouldn't be treated as if I'm less than.
