LL Flooring - Little Rock

After looking at flooring at this Little Rock store a couple of other times, as well as other…read morevendors, and on-line, we finally decided to purchase luxury vinyl plank from LL Flooring to replace existing laminate that had been in our house for over 20 years. We were having all the flooring replaced (a little over 1600 sq. ft.), except for rooms that had tile, and the staircase to be redone with oak treads we had already purchased. The sales staff were very helpful and friendly, and answered all my many questions with patience! The men who helped us seemed very knowledgeable about flooring. We had the flooring installed by a sub-contractor they recommended and work with frequently, and we pre-paid the originally calculated installation fee to LL Flooring. The installation crew who was assigned to our job were meticulous in their work, worked very efficiently, and obviously had the installation expertise that was needed! They were also friendly and we trusted them to be in our house. When they were removing the existing flooring, we encountered an issue that had not been anticipated! There was a lot of dangerous rot in the subfloor of one room on the lower level, extending into a small hallway. We needed to have the whole sub-floor replaced! I didn't want it patched in! It was obviously an additional cost for us in lumber, and the additional labor was a bit more than we expected, but it was done expertly and is again solid!! We are pleased with the final outcome of the whole project, and very glad that we chose to go with this company and their sub-contractor!

The thing is, we have a gap in our hardwood. We'd hoped to patch it with the same kind of wood, or something similar enough that it wouldn't stand out *too* much if we filled in the gap. The problem? We didn't know what kind of wood it was. D'oh. Here, this Lumber Liquidators was awesome. We came in, asked about their "scrap" wood (because we only needed two square feet, tops) and to see if they could identify the wood from a loose piece. They immediately recognized what kind it was, and were very informative about their scrap flooring. In the end, they didn't have what we needed. But they were quick, polite, and efficient in answering all of our questions and hearing what we wanted/needed. They told us about their products and services, answered our questions, and let us check out the inventory a bit. No hard sell, not even a second's hesitation - they were great. I will be back when we need to re-floor something larger, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone looking at flooring!

It's been about a year and we love it! Still looks great. They were efficient and professional. Very easy to get a hold of if you have any questions. We got a great deal on the tile and the prices were fair. Will use them again for any future needs. They have a ton of great options in their floor room.

When we told them about the issue, they said they would fix it. They sent the carpet layer back with NO supplies to repaint the base. We had to provide all of the supplies: paint brush, paint, floor covering, etc. As a person in the construction industry, I know how long it should have taken to repaint the baseboards. He was there for approximately an hour. When we came back to inspect the work, it looked as if the person used his fingers to fill the damaged areas, instead of painting the entire board. We called to complain. They sent the same man back to try again. He did the same thing again, but this time he left hand prints on our freshly painted walls. We called his boss to explain the issue AGAIN. We had to bring in and pay an actual painter to fix the problem. Carpet Barn would not help us with this cost. We will NOT use this company again and DO NOT recommend them.

We've called once to check on and was passed on to the person that does the scheduling. Still nothing resolved. They are quick to make the sale, but over priced our job by almost $300.00. We did get that back, but the job is not complete. Because of their follow up, I will not be using them again. The installer came back out. Finished the job. Looks great!

Deceptive Pricing: After making several requests for an accurate, all-in quote--specifically emphasizing that I do not like financial surprises--our final quote increased by over 50%. Lack of Expertise: Staff gave conflicting directions on basic installation standards, including whether our hardwoods even needed to be acclimated. Property Damage: Crews ignored our agreed-upon route for debris removal, dragging demo materials through our kitchen and laundry room. They damaged 4 out of 7 major appliances, our fireplace rock, front brick steps, and bathroom vanity foot. With all the damages to walls and trim I had to repaint my home. Terrible Quality: The installation crew left scratches on the new floors, glue on the walls, and scuffs throughout the house. Months later, we are still fighting to get these issues resolved. Look elsewhere!

Mr. Britt S., thank you for your response. I called the North Little Rock store the next day after…read moreyou responded to my review. I asked to talk to you personally, however they didn't know who you were. So I asked once again to talk with Mr. Bowie. The nice lady who I talked with; after explaining the whole situation again, told me that Chad was not there and that she would make sure that he got the message and would call me back. It is now one month later and I have still not received a call from him. I did however call Mr. Kevin Ewick, repair coordinator at the corporate office. I talked with him about a year ago about the issue, and was not able to talk with him again although I left many messages. I was told (about a year ago) that a man was going to come look at the brick. Kevin said that he did come and do some work on the brick although I wasn't home when it happened nor could I tell any difference in the look of the bricks. I told him also that the bricks have continued to get worse. Kevin then told me that there was nothing else he could do to fix the problem. So Mr. Britt, I have done what you asked. You talked about the dissatisfaction of the appearance has changed. What you do not understand is that it's more than the appearance, the slurry is completely coming off the brick. Look at the pictures. That cannot be repaired by simply touching it up with paint or stain. What you are suggesting is a bandaid for a severed limb. After taking with Mr. Ewick I decided to use a water hose on the bricks to see if some of the appearance was dirt that has splattered on them from rain. To my surprise, as I was spraying them I discovered that the slurry was actually coming off with the water. Sir, the brick are defective. I am not only disappointed in the product but also the lack of response from this store. I told Mr. Ewick that I left a message with Mr. Bowie but I didn't have much hope of hearing from him because I had left numerous messages with him. He suggested that I wait three weeks for a response and if I hadn't heard anything to call him back. So I called him last week, on Monday the 16th, and he told me that he had talked to Mr. Bowie and he told him that he was going to call me that day. Well it's a week later and no call. I've been dealing with this problem for a year and a half now. So, anyone reading this review can read the response, and decide for yourself if you want to do business with this store.
