This review is for TIKI TACO'S and Mai Tai's which is an evening popup style restaurant located after Crazy Beans standard hours. 4-10pm I think. So we actually wound up here because we ordered Chinease food next door. Glad we stopped in. The owner was so friendly and nice. She said the place was a concept from the old Maui Chop House from Rockypoint and her creation. Well let me tell you we ordered a small nibble of nachos with pulled pork and some teriyaki beef tacos. We figured since we ordered Chinease food next door for me and my husband. My kids would try some nachos and tacos. "Nope". We took a bite and left the Chinease food in the fridge for tomorrow's dinner. The Nachos were perfectly layered, with just enough slow cooked pulled pork that was delicious. The sauce on the nachos was a Must have and finished the plate perfect just enough to scrape the bottom. We will be back for more. Now for the Tacos, the teriyaki beef was amazing. My only gripe was with myself I should have ordered it with the pineapple or other fruit slaw. I ordered with the standard tomato lettuce. I think even though the taco was amazing the sweet slaw would have finished it just perfect. The sauce that came on the plate was amazing as well as the coconut rice I could eat a bowl of that just on its own. The prices are just right. I would say a great value for quality and taste. We will be back with the whole family to try a Bit of everything. Oops almost forgot to mention, the Hawaiian juice the owner gave us was crazy good. I want to try their Mai Tai's. See you soon THANKYOU for a Fun great food experience. :)

Grabbed lunch to go from crazy beans today. I got a grilled cheese with tomato and waffle fries. I loved the thick sourdough the sandwich was on, it had a great crunch and tasted amazing! The inside of the restaurant is so cute with vintage signs and old magazine covers. Overall, a great takeout experience!

I've been hesitant about leaving this review. I know it's after Covid so maybe they're short staffed. I went here twice for breakfast when I was in New York. Both times I was there when they opened. The first time I went in and I was probably sat but it took 30 minutes for me to get just my coffee. Also I might want to say the waitress might want to reconsider the length of her skirt as when she bent over to get menus from podium you saw way too much. My food was good and she was kind enough to get me a to go cup for the rest of my coffee. The second time I went I had a different waitress and in about five minutes before opening they were putting tables outside. Once they were done putting the tables out I asked if I could sit there and the woman said that they were not open yet. I repeated and asked if I could just sit at the table that's outside. She said yes. Once they opened some people had went inside after me and they were served first. So again it took me almost 30 minutes just to get my coffee. The food was good But they really need to work on their organizational skills for their morning service

Have been here several times, most of which without children. This week has been a crazy week with my son getting injured and then having surgery on his eye. Tuesday after the eye doctor appointment we stopped in because we had spent so long at the eye doctor before taking him to see a specialist that was recommended at that doctor... It was about an hour before they closed and I was worried that we would take up too much of their time because my kids were definitely overtired and I was overtired, hungry, not caffeinated... they were so amazing, helped keep my kids entertained, so I could eat, the food was amazing and a coffee was even more delicious. They were so kind to give my kids little bowls of whipped cream to keep them occupied until the food came out. completely wonderful staff. I will always be coming back here when I'm in the area (most likely next week when we revisit the eye doctor to check in post-op)

Love this place. They have Delicious food and coffee! Love the caramel coffee. Plus I like that I can get it delivered if needed.

I can't say enough good things about Crazy Beans. I've been to their Miller Place, Stony Brook, and Greenport locations and I've had stellar experiences at all three. Across the board the service is fantastic-even on their busiest day. I'm a pumpkin coffee junkie and I was so pleased to see that they serve pumpkin flavored coffee even on the off season! Great food and coffee. I loved the retro diner vibe and how friendly and warm their staff is! Hands down my favorite local small business.

Crazy Beans is a good place to eat. Out door seating, nice employees and good food. The atmosphere is very new age with some old classic signs thrown in there too. The servers always welcome you with a smile. However, if you're somebody who likes attentive waiters and waitresses; this place isn't for you. Once you order your drink and your food, they don't come back for a while until it's time to get the check. Perhaps this is more of a preference thing but I want my waiters checking in on me asking if I need more to drink, extra sauce, more napkins, etc. If you want to be left alone after you get your meal then this is the place for you but I personally don't like that the drinks are small and it feels like a hassle to get their attention just to get one more. This also because a question with tipping if they aren't checking up on you. The food is what's most important and it's almost always 10/10. I did ask for no avocado in my meal and and still got avocado which was disappointing to say the least but I still enjoyed what I ate. Overall, definitely recommend this place. I hope they move to a better location with more seating and also change their service techniques but it's still worth going and eating from.

Huevos Locos Burrito

I've ordered breakfast foods from a million different restaurants. This...this is the one. I have no idea what is in the Crazy Sauce, but I'm gonna need a Huevos Locos burrito every day for the rest of my life. (Pro tip, get extra sauce on the side and put it on your Loaded Homies, because those things are no joke.) The flavored lattes are delicious, especially the Toasted Marshmallow & Peanut Butter, though they could use another hit of the flavor. The sweetened iced tea is delish, just sweet enough to offset the savory breakfast, but not so sweet that you'll regret every decision before 10am. Fruit salad is nothing particularly special, but it's good, it's fresh, and it's nice to have when you've ordered every heavy item on the menu...don't judge me. Satisfy those cravings and enjoy breakfast again.

Eat Unique Indeed…read more We were famished for something brunchy this past Sunday, and were looking at different places to go to. Went to the Watermark, parking lot was inaccessible, seems people don't know how to park over there. Even the street spaces were full. We headed further west, Flying Pig was closed down, we had been to Crazy Beans, then a quick Google search pulled up a spot we'd never heard of before. Pulled up to a strip mall where BlackSheep was located, nice big parking lot as expected. Walked in, and we were the first ones there. The place smelled fantastic. We sat ourselves and perused the menu. The server came by and enumerated the specials, but I was fixated on Braise your Belly. We also got me-mah's mac and cheese, and started off with the Roasted Garlic Northern Bean Dip and the Minestrone soup. The Bean Dip starter was fantastic. All the little things you need for a perfect bite. A scoop of bean dip on a toasted pita wedge, stick a couple of kalamata olives on the bean dip mortar (3 olives were too much), add pickled red onion and fire-roasted peppers, then top with crumbled feta. Amazing bite. I had a taste of the Minestrone, and it was excellent. Flavors were all there without being overdone. The pasta was nice and cooked just right. The mac and cheese was perfect. I couldn't put my finger on the cheeses used, but it all came together nicely. You didn't just get a mouthful of one cheese flavor. It was creamy, balanced, and the crispy onions on top made it really nice. and the stunner. I am a big fan of pork belly, and this really piqued my interest. Served with lemongrass grits and pickled veg with a soy miso glaze. The pickled veg was tossed in a bed of leafy greens, and I saw some seaweed salad in there as well. A little bite of the grits topped with the salad was amazing. I've never had that combo before. A little tart, a little salty, nice umami, I could have eaten a bowl of just that. However, when the pork belly came into play, everything changed. The crisped, lightly charred crust on the fatty slices of nirvana by themselves were perfect. Cut a piece of it and lay it on the grits-salad bite, and you can feel your eyes roll backwards. I wanted to, and almost ate it all, but I left a slice for my girlfriend and topped off her little bit of mac and cheese that she wanted to take home. Half an hour in, and the place pretty much packed out for a bit while they were doing a healthy amount of takeout/pickup orders. The place is pretty simple: interesting Black Sheep art, with mostly little tables, plasticware, and a drinks cooler. The food can certainly be right at home in a fancier and upscale setting, but doesn't need it. They had one server, and she was delightful and attentive to everyone. The chef came around and asked how everything was, which I find is always a nice touch. Definitely coming back.

Very friendly. Here's a guy who is really enjoying what he does. Takes pride in his food. Relaxed atmosphere but we were also pleased to see they have beer and wine on the menu.

The steak looked thin when it came out but was absolutely delicious and tender and plenty for a light lunch for two. The waitstaff brought us two plates and knives to split the meal. I later had a regular coffee which hit the spot. The ambiance here made me feel like I was a regular on a tv show - it's cozy and welcoming. If I lived closer I'd probably be here every day! The live guitar music was fantastic. It wasn't too loud so we could still hold a conversation. Lots of booth seating as well as tables. We showed up around 4 pm and it wasn't too crowded but it got crowded later. The bathroom decor made me laugh. #iykyk Definitely a must visit for lunch, an early dinner or coffee. I can't wait to visit again!

The Study is a very nice place with great food, good energy, and a pleasant vibe. The space is open…read morewith plenty of seating, servers are very nice, and it feels perfect for a quick date or girls' brunch -- but not really a spot for guys to hang out and eat a lot of food. I had the yogurt with blueberry filling, pineapple, and grapes -- it tasted exactly as it looks, clean and simple. The caffè latte used Paramount Coffee's "The Perfect" beans; the shot was dark and strong at first, but once mixed it became smooth with a slight bitterness. The chicken Caesar salad bun with onion rings had a simple, healthy flavor but the portion was a bit small. Banana foster was more like a dessert than coffee, with a strong cinnamon note -- the banana flavor was subtle due to caramelization. You can add espresso if you want. Downsides: despite the name, it's not a good place to study. A lot of people come to eat, talk, hang out, and play games, so it's not quiet. Price-wise, coffee and drinks are reasonably priced, and milk swaps or small customizations aren't heavily charged, but food portions feel small for the price. They have a restroom, are wheelchair friendly, and they mentioned they own a roaster nearby and plan to start roasting their own beans soon. Overall, a solid spot with good vibes -- just not for quiet studying.
