Parking - It's Atlanta. Get in where you fit in. The Scene - Checkout the pics, it's nothing fancy. The walls are graffiti'd, the tables are wobbly but the bathroom is clean! The Eats - I've eaten tacos, nachos, quesadillas, and wings. All good food. My only complaint is the damned canned sodas. When with a group and chatting, that can is gone in 5 minutes. The Service - I've been on packed nights and the service has always been swift. I ordered food on the walk from the HIlton, and it was ready when I arrived. I would give this place zero stars if possible. This was the worst experience ever. Do not come here if you're hungry. We ordered Mexico City tacos (two for $12) and two Patrón margaritas. The bartender filled the cup with ice before even mixing the drinks, so I knew the liquor-to-mix ratio was off. Even after asking for less ice, the margarita was a 4/10 at best. Then came the food--cold tacos, not even lukewarm. I told the waitress, who seemed clueless, and the kitchen lead insisted they were fresh. I handed him a cold taco to prove otherwise, and he took the plates back. After a long wait, the tacos returned warm but completely flavorless, lacking any authenticity. I've had better tacos from an LA food truck. The wings weren't even lemon pepper--just coated in some random sauce. The only decent things were the crinkle fries and the loud music. To top it off, security allowed people to smoke indoors despite there being a designated smoking area. This is an odd mix of clientele, but I liked it. At the bar was some rough and tumble locals then on one side you had an unattended (maybe the parents were in the other side) 12 year old co-Ed dance team. On the other were a few groups of adults just getting together for some late Saturday afternoon grub and conversation. Outside you had a wedding party plus guests between ceremony and reception at the Sheraton across the street. Decent beer selection at good prices. No ambers other than dos XX. But still, all draft/ bottled beer is $5 and cans are $4. Was served beer quickly. Service was up and down because big groups come in (dozen people size groups). So my food despite being a simple Gyro, was not fast. Servers were nice and helpful when they were near where I was sitting. My gyro was awesome and for unhealthy bar food it seemed everyone in the place was enjoying theirs. Overall this place is very Austin-ish. It has the dark, hipster almost looking dirty visual. Being across from a five star hotel is interesting and I totally will bring out of towners here for the cheaper food that tastes good combined with its ability to host large groups easily. read more

In some strange way, it was comfortable. Customers were a mix of convention goers, folks visiting the dance club across the corner. I have no idea if they normally do any kind of table-service, but the sign said to order at the bar. Which I did. And the food was okay. It was exactly what a hungry conventioneer needs. Warm, tasty, and filling. So why only three stars? Well, I think this place gets four stars--if you're a hungry conventioneer. Otherwise, it's a three-star thing. Good, carby, and filling. Cristi and I stayed in an Air B&B across the block, needed something quick and easy for dinner. What is this, a dive bar with a great kitchen? Not sure, but the food was surprisingly good. There are 80,000 people in town for the one of the largest convention in the nation and CLEARLY an opportunity to make some money AND this guy is obviously rich enough to not need any money . We should have known when there were only three people in the entire room that something was wrong. (Atlanta PD- this could be an undercover spot to keep under surveillance). Came in from out of town, staying at the Sheraton right across the street. Saw this place from the window and figured I'd give it a shot as something to try, plus it's kind of late and it was one of the few places that was within walking distance (alone at 9p at night). I walked in and felt like I just walked back into rocky point circa 2004. The walls are written all over, the music was kind of weird. I was immediately greeted by someone who worked there and got me to my table. I ordered a Moscow mule to start, bad idea. One sip and I had the worst stomach ache already. Then when going through the menu, I was down to try one of the wraps or an item from the crazy Tex-mex section. Delicious and Fun! Stopped by Crazy Atlanta during DragonCon. The atmosphere is ridiculous (in the best way ever). The servers and bartenders looked like they were a family, the DJ was fun, the décor is PERFECT (very city and cozy - graffiti, bare bones, roomy, colorful), and the food is amazing. We hosted a party event at CrazyATL. The owner, Jorge, went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was fun and the staff was courteous. We had roughly 200 people in our group, so it was no small task for the staff to handle. We brought markers and had a good time adding to the walls. I had a burrito and a couple of beers. The burrito was pretty good - I would definitely order it again. The beer was reasonably priced. If you are looking for a place to bring a large group, this is a solid choice. The entire restaurant had to order at the bar they have no servers. There was one Hispanic guy to take everyones order and make all the drinks at the bar. It was a mess I've never seen anything like this especially in a busy part of downtown on a Saturday evening. My order took over 40 minutes to come! When I asked the guy behind the counter how much longer he said and I quote "Its gonna be awhile it comes when it comes" Really after 40 minutes? I ordered the penne pasta. It was horrible and a total waste of my $14 dollars. The pasta was under cooked and chewy! Yuck ! The sauce may have made up for it but maybe they were low in sauce because on top on the chewy pasta the meal was dry. Had I not taken taken this to go I would have requested a refund. I recently went here over the weekend for an after hours event. I paid for two drinks that night/morning. Two days later I look at my bank statement and it says I not only paid for two drinks, but I was charged $43 dollars 10 minutes later. Cool, not a problem right? I can just go to the bar and speak with a manager. WRONG, I decide to go there to speak with a manager and an older hispanic gentleman standing behind the bar says "we're closed." I try to explain my situation to said manager on duty while showing my bank statement but he was extremely hostile and gradually increasing his aggression. He even went as far as to calling me an "asshole" and to "watch it" for asking if they had the signed receipt of this charge. After explaining myself for the 5th time, he yells the number outloud for the owner after I ask for it calmly and I say "you need to relax and write it down, you've said enough bro". He wrote it down while repeating "watch it buddy" and who knows what else. Honestly, I didn't even want to write a review but the way homeboy acted completely was completely unprofessional and childish. Tourist, be wary of this place. What a cool place. How they manage to be at the same time trendy, rustic, rural, downtown grafiti, warehouse, welcoming, I'll never know. It's not small, but I almost walked past it. The fragrance inside hit me immediately - kind of spice-of-the-orient, clean, fresh, with an east indian themed sound track playing on the sound system. Very disappointed to have to leave such a bad review. I was in town for a convention across the street. Crazy Atlanta was close by so I didn't have to take my car anywhere. I was very tired at the end of the convention and just wanted some food so I could go to my room and rest. It was a Saturday night around 7ish. I walked in and there were a few people inside, not many. Straight up ghetto inside. I hurried to order and get my food as I did not feel safe inside. I glanced at the menu (totally bar food) and ordered a salad for my wife and I got teriyaki wings and a slice of pizza. About 5 - 8 minutes AFTER I ordered, the guy behind the counter told me "the kitchen is backed up, so it will be longer for your food". I asked him about how long. He went back to the kitchen and then came out and told me 15 - 30 minutes. WHAT??? Why didn't you tell me that before I paid?? I decided to suck it up and wait. The pizza was meh! Nothing special. The teriyaki wings were SO SALTY I had to wipe each wing with paper towels just to be able to eat them. On the positive side, my wife did like her salad. All in all, a waste of time and money. I visited Crazy Atlanta a few weekends ago with one of my friends, for a silent hip hop party. There were several lots with $10 parking and my friend Britt managed to find a covered garage with $7 parking, that took credit cards only. We did not pay a cover at the door, but we did pre-order one pass with entry for two and special headphone rental for the event. It is a smaller place, so you can see almost everyone from the center of the room and have a good view of the exit. The decor is cool at night with the indoor graffiti and the lights. It gives you something to focus on and even think about. I loved the set up (I am not sure if this is because of Crazy Atlanta or the event crew). The party had two djays set up simultaneously and you could change stations via the special headphones. They had a bar with drinks being ordered left and right, although I did not try anything. The bathroom is a little tight but it had a decent mirror and was clean (at least the one time I went in there). Overall, Crazy Atlanta was a cool experience for me. A suprising gem near Georgia State University! Earlier I was next door at the liquor store and asked about the best food options and the cashier suggested Crazy Atlanta and I am happy they did. When asking what the best sauce would be we were told the Lemonyaki was a must try which sounds like a ridiculous flavor combination to me. I'm glad I pushed my comfort aside and tried it because it was honestly one of the best wings I've ever had, period. I didn't order them extra well done and they were cooked to the perfect crisp, and had the perfect amount of sauce. The bartender was absolutely amazing, and I wish I could go back soon. WALKED from the Atlanta Marriott Marquis to your restaurant because Yelp gave you 4 stars and said you were open at 12pm. Got there with wallkers at 1pm to find your doors locked and staff working but unwilling to even answer the door (there were PLENTY of people working to straighten chairs, behind the bar, they looked at us but no one came to the door to explain what was going on.)
