I would give this place zero stars if possible. This was the worst experience ever. Do not come here if you're hungry. We ordered Mexico City tacos (two for $12) and two Patrón margaritas. The bartender filled the cup with ice before even mixing the drinks, so I knew the liquor-to-mix ratio was off. Even after asking for less ice, the margarita was a 4/10 at best. Then came the food--cold tacos, not even lukewarm. I told the waitress, who seemed clueless, and the kitchen lead insisted they were fresh. I handed him a cold taco to prove otherwise, and he took the plates back. After a long wait, the tacos returned warm but completely flavorless, lacking any authenticity. I've had better tacos from an LA food truck. The wings weren't even lemon pepper--just coated in some random sauce. The only decent things were the crinkle fries and the loud music. To top it off, security allowed people to smoke indoors despite there being a designated smoking area. I will never return and advise others to avoid this place if you want even mediocre food and a smoke-free environment. read more

Worst bar experience of my life. Bartender was so rude & slack. Ordered food & a drink. $35. Gave me the wrong receipt, so what I paid and what I read were 2 different things. Also, failed to add bbq sauce to my order. When I asked for it, told me it would be $1. Refused to give me bbq bc I asked for an itemized receipt 1st, since whatever you order has all these additional fees (found out AFTER I tipped that gratuity was already included [see, wrong receipt]). Said that I was being difficult and he "didn't want to serve me". BARBECUE SAUCE?? Really??? Just give me the sauce! It was your mistake. A world class A-hole. Food took an hour & was lackluster at best. Cold & unseasoned. The bbq sauce was truly required. read more

So this was my only open not knowing where I was and wanting chicken wings...I ordered a few things and wasn't impressed...the wings were cool but the other food wasn't. I took one bite of my sandwich and had to spit it out...they promptly gave me a refund but it should never have been served everyone at my table could smell the rancidness of it... Great vibes & good food!!! It was last minute but it definitely was fun with friends. The service was good too!!

It's a location of last resort. A dive bar in a rough part of town. No beer on tap and if you don't order the basic beers you can expect to have a layer of dust on your beer top. Food was tasty for bar food but I would not recommend this as a first or second choice. read more

Parking - It's Atlanta. Get in where you fit in. The Scene - Checkout the pics, it's nothing fancy. The walls are graffiti'd, the tables are wobbly but the bathroom is clean! The Eats - I've eaten tacos, nachos, quesadillas, and wings. All good food. My only complaint is the damned canned sodas. When with a group and chatting, that can is gone in 5 minutes. The Service - I've been on packed nights and the service has always been swift. I ordered food on the walk from the HIlton, and it was ready when I arrived. They made good drinks and ate pretty friendly. Parting Thoughts - I'm getting hungry just thinking about this spot. Grab some friends and enjoy a good time. read more

I came in with a group around 10 pm a few days ago. When we got there it was pretty quiet but the bartender was so nice and friendly so we felt immediately at home. This is an odd mix of clientele, but I liked it. At the bar was some rough and tumble locals then on one side you had an unattended (maybe the parents were in the other side) 12 year old co-Ed dance team. On the other were a few groups of adults just getting together for some late Saturday afternoon grub and conversation. Outside you had a wedding party plus guests between ceremony and reception at the Sheraton across the street. Decent beer selection at good prices. No ambers other than dos XX. But still, all draft/ bottled beer is $5 and cans are $4. Was served beer quickly. Service was up and down because big groups come in (dozen people size groups). So my food despite being a simple Gyro, was not fast. Servers were nice and helpful when they were near where I was sitting. My gyro was awesome and for unhealthy bar food it seemed everyone in the place was enjoying theirs. Overall this place is very Austin-ish. It has the dark, hipster almost looking dirty visual. Being across from a five star hotel is interesting and I totally will bring out of towners here for the cheaper food that tastes good combined with its ability to host large groups easily. read more

Crazy Atlanta - Gyro, extremely tasty. - Bars Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

Not bad at all. I had the occasion to grab a couple of meals here while a convention was going on across the street. The first time I had a chicken burrito. The second time I had a couple of slices of pizza. I'll talk about the food in a minute. First... The setting is totally informal. Urban setting with customer generated graffiti all over the place. In some strange way, it was comfortable. Customers were a mix of convention goers, folks visiting the dance club across the corner. I have no idea if they normally do any kind of table-service, but the sign said to order at the bar. Which I did. And the food was okay. It was exactly what a hungry conventioneer needs. Warm, tasty, and filling. So why only three stars? Well, I think this place gets four stars--if you're a hungry conventioneer. Otherwise, it's a three-star thing. Good, carby, and filling. And that ain't bad. It's just not going to be a destination for me unless I happen to be across the street. read more

Cristi and I stayed in an Air B&B across the block, needed something quick and easy for dinner. What is this, a dive bar with a great kitchen? Not sure, but the food was surprisingly good. And it sure looked like a dive bar to me. Service was just one dude (also the cook) but he got the job done. Steak fajita was awesome, Cristi's gyro was also really good. Stop by, the food is fantastic. One star deduction for no changing table in the bathrooms. Babies need love too. read more

Who ever gave this place a 1 $ is nuts, I ordered tacos and a can of coke and it cost me $17. $$ would be more honest. Tables look as if they need a good scrapping. Dive bar? Yes!!! Food: looked really good I got the Fish Tacos yummy. So food, I give a decent grade. I'd eat the food again.... As for atmosphere, ...GET YOUR FOOD TO GO. It's loud and questionably icky. So my fellow culinary elites...I absolutely love "dive" spots. They are often thee best food spots for flavor and ambiance. HOWEVER - the owner of this spot is clearly insane. There are 80,000 people in town for the one of the largest convention in the nation and CLEARLY an opportunity to make some money AND this guy is obviously rich enough to not need any money . We should have known when there were only three people in the entire room that something was wrong. (Atlanta PD- this could be an undercover spot to keep under surveillance). We'd planned to spend some serious money, BUT continued to get hit with pushback about not granting a glass of ice...not even at a charge or fee. Don't bother. Even if you're desperate... read more

Came in from out of town, staying at the Sheraton right across the street. Saw this place from the window and figured I'd give it a shot as something to try, plus it's kind of late and it was one of the few places that was within walking distance (alone at 9p at night). I walked in and felt like I just walked back into rocky point circa 2004. The walls are written all over, the music was kind of weird. I was immediately greeted by someone who worked there and got me to my table. I ordered a Moscow mule to start, bad idea. One sip and I had the worst stomach ache already. Then when going through the menu, I was down to try one of the wraps or an item from the crazy Tex-mex section. He then told me he's not doing any good outside of "maybe a slice of cheese pizza" and a burger. I was immediately turned off and kindly returned the drink and left. I could see this place being the last resort after a night of drinking but outside of that, idk what to say. read more

Delicious and Fun! Stopped by Crazy Atlanta during DragonCon. The atmosphere is ridiculous (in the best way ever). Very disappointed to have to leave such a bad review. I was in town for a convention across the street. Crazy Atlanta was close by so I didn't have to take my car anywhere. I was very tired at the end of the convention and just wanted some food so I could go to my room and rest. It was a Saturday night around 7ish. I walked in and there were a few people inside, not many. Straight up ghetto inside. I hurried to order and get my food as I did not feel safe inside. I glanced at the menu (totally bar food) and ordered a salad for my wife and I got teriyaki wings and a slice of pizza. About 5 - 8 minutes AFTER I ordered, the guy behind the counter told me "the kitchen is backed up, so it will be longer for your food". I asked him about how long. He went back to the kitchen and then came out and told me 15 - 30 minutes. WHAT??? Why didn't you tell me that before I paid?? I decided to suck it up and wait. The pizza was meh! Nothing special. The teriyaki wings were SO SALTY I had to wipe each wing with paper towels just to be able to eat them. On the positive side, my wife did like her salad. All in all, a waste of time and money. Next time, I will find another place to eat. Waffle House is right around the corner and the Hard Rock is down the road. One breath of fresh air was the employee Mileydy. She was sweet & personable. I feel bad she has to work in such a shit hole of a place read more

We hosted a party event at CrazyATL. The owner, Jorge, went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was fun and the staff was courteous. We had roughly 200 people in our group, so it was no small task for the staff to handle. We brought markers and had a good time adding to the walls. I had a burrito and a couple of beers. The burrito was pretty good - I would definitely order it again. The beer was reasonably priced. If you are looking for a place to bring a large group, this is a solid choice. Jorge worked with us for a couple of months leading up to it, patiently answering all of our random questions. Thanks CrazyATL! read more

The entire restaurant had to order at the bar they have no servers. There was one Hispanic guy to take everyones order and make all the drinks at the bar. It was a mess I've never seen anything like this especially in a busy part of downtown on a Saturday evening. My order took over 40 minutes to come! When I asked the guy behind the counter how much longer he said and I quote "Its gonna be awhile it comes when it comes" Really after 40 minutes? I ordered the penne pasta. It was horrible and a total waste of my $14 dollars. The pasta was under cooked and chewy! Yuck ! The sauce may have made up for it but maybe they were low in sauce because on top on the chewy pasta the meal was dry. Had I not taken taken this to go I would have requested a refund. I don't think I'll ever return just based off the service read more

I recently went here over the weekend for an after hours event. I paid for two drinks that night/morning. Two days later I look at my bank statement and it says I not only paid for two drinks, but I was charged $43 dollars 10 minutes later. Cool, not a problem right? I can just go to the bar and speak with a manager. WRONG, I decide to go there to speak with a manager and an older hispanic gentleman standing behind the bar says "we're closed." I try to explain my situation to said manager on duty while showing my bank statement but he was extremely hostile and gradually increasing his aggression. He even went as far as to calling me an "asshole" and to "watch it" for asking if they had the signed receipt of this charge. After explaining myself for the 5th time, he yells the number outloud for the owner after I ask for it calmly and I say "you need to relax and write it down, you've said enough bro". He wrote it down while repeating "watch it buddy" and who knows what else. Honestly, I didn't even want to write a review but the way homeboy acted completely was completely unprofessional and childish. Tourist, be wary of this place. I'm sure this isn't the first time they have overcharged and refused to show a signed receipt. read more

What a cool place. How they manage to be at the same time trendy, rustic, rural, downtown grafiti, warehouse, welcoming, I'll never know. It's not small, but I almost walked past it. The fragrance inside hit me immediately - kind of spice-of-the-orient, clean, fresh, with an east indian themed sound track playing on the sound system. Red covered seats, purple painted picnic tables convey, hey y'all, come on in and get some good eats downtown. I couldn't help but get wings and a salad. How did Atlanta get famous for wings, anyway? IDK but great experience today! read more

In the women's bathroom found a two way mirror with the simple finger touching test. Called the police, they can't do anything since they aren't "glass experts" . I was also told they couldn't do anything since a bar can decorate anyway they want . This place needs to be shut down. read more

I visited Crazy Atlanta a few weekends ago with one of my friends, for a silent hip hop party. There were several lots with $10 parking and my friend Britt managed to find a covered garage with $7 parking, that took credit cards only. We did not pay a cover at the door, but we did pre-order one pass with entry for two and special headphone rental for the event. It is a smaller place, so you can see almost everyone from the center of the room and have a good view of the exit. The decor is cool at night with the indoor graffiti and the lights. It gives you something to focus on and even think about. I loved the set up (I am not sure if this is because of Crazy Atlanta or the event crew). The party had two djays set up simultaneously and you could change stations via the special headphones. They had a bar with drinks being ordered left and right, although I did not try anything. The bathroom is a little tight but it had a decent mirror and was clean (at least the one time I went in there). Overall, Crazy Atlanta was a cool experience for me. I would come back for another event or silent party. read more

All of these 5-star reviews are fake, right? There's no way they describe the place where I ate. Food quality is poor. You can tell the ingredients were frozen and mass purchased. My veggie burrito seemed to be filled with the same bag of frozen mixed veggies that my mom bought from Cub Foods in the 90s. It even contained field peas! My friend's burger was gray and dry. The fries were low-quality frozen fries and not even fried well--mushy, not crispy. You know that a place that advertises itself as serving pizza, wings, and Tex-mex, it probably won't do any of them well. Service and atmosphere were odd. It's funny that food is brought to your table but customers are asked to stand up and get their own flatware/napkins/condiments. The experience felt disjointed and uncomfortable. The fake graffiti walls are contrived, the bangin' dance music was misplaced. Maybe out-of-towners have low expectations for food they'll eat downtown, but as someone who lives and works nearby, this place needs a serious overhaul before I would go back. read more

$5 TIP WAS ADDED BY THEM! Read other reviews, I'm not the only one. I had a call-in order and I walked to pick it up, paid, then left. When I got home from my business trip, I noticed that they charged my $5 than what I had paid. I called asking for the manager, who is Jorge. He confirmed that there was a $5 tip added to my charge that was not on my receipt. Funny thing was, the name of the guy who took my order and and the name on my receipt was Jorge... Management is involved in the FRAUD! They did however, refund my $5 by check a week later. If you go, compare your bank statements with your receipts. Also, The food quality was sub-par. read more

I really wanted a change from hotel food and walked outside a and saw Crazy Atlanta. All right I'm game for an experience. The interior had picnic benches, was clean and had upbeat music. The guy at the register (this is an order and they'll bring it to you place) had suggestions, knowledge of the menu and super friendly. So, food came pretty quick. Hot (not spicy unless you want it that way) and tasty. Now for the food. The salad I thought would be an immediate throw away but with the cheese and chips on top it was much better than expected. It was slightly overdressed. The nachos had fresh chips and good flavors. The star for me was the chicken quesadilla and the side of fries (crispy goodness). The guacamole on the quesadilla was good. Overall really strong showing and would be happy to come here again. read more

A suprising gem near Georgia State University! Earlier I was next door at the liquor store and asked about the best food options and the cashier suggested Crazy Atlanta and I am happy they did. When asking what the best sauce would be we were told the Lemonyaki was a must try which sounds like a ridiculous flavor combination to me. I'm glad I pushed my comfort aside and tried it because it was honestly one of the best wings I've ever had, period. I didn't order them extra well done and they were cooked to the perfect crisp, and had the perfect amount of sauce. The bartender was absolutely amazing, and I wish I could go back soon.
