What you need to know: Stunning views, affordable rental prices for proposals, awkward waiting periods for proposal confirmations, stunning views. My fiancé and I had our first dates around centennial Olympic park, so naturally when it came time to propose, I wanted the wow factor while keeping things close to where we started. Enter: Ventana's. I looked at a lot of places, but Ventana's was the most affordable and had the best views from their helipad. Communication was great initially, but they made me wait weeks before confirming due to policy of proposals only being allowed to be confirmed the week of the event (in case a larger more profitable event comes in for your date). This was stressful to say the least for such an important part of my life (especially since I only needed the venue for an hour), but all worked out in the end - and the champagne and chocolate covered strawberries were a delectable extra touch to say the least. The views were spectacular, and she was so surprised and stunned. Couldn'tve chosen a better venue to start this next chapter and highly recommend them for anyone with a story to tell. I was invited here for a business/social event. It was a beautiful evening and the venue had both excellent inside and outside accommodations for all. The bar served excellent top-grade spirits wine and beer. They had a couple of very good buffet-style food service table set-up. And they had staff members walking around with hors d'oeuvres which were very plentiful and deliciously done. read more

We went to a wedding here October 20th and I'm behind on providing my review. This place was beautiful with amazing panoramic views of Atlanta, fantastic bar tenders, wonderful space and my food was some 9f the best seated wedding food I've had in years. I will say it is a bit confusing to get to and I wish they had red bull as a mixer, but that also meant no wedding crashers got in and I should lay off the energy drinks anyway. Great event space, truly lovely staff. Unforgettable. They even have a helicopter pad so our friends left in a chopper. Epic. My pictures don't do it justice. read more

I had the opportunity to help coordinate a wedding that took place here a few weeks ago and was super excited because allllll the pictures I've seen on this event space were just beautiful. Located at the corner of Baker and Marietta Street, at the top of the Hilton Garden Inn, you can find this gem right past the entrance for the hotel and take the elevator up to the 14th floor. Parking isn't a huge issue as there are several paid lots and a parking deck (with valet) at the hotel and it's just a short walk to the venue. The staff were amazing and truly catered to our every need. They were helpful, professional, and friendly. The space itself is nice and has lovely views of the city. It's pretty much a blank canvas so you can be certain when it comes to decor and it's super spacious. There's an outdoor space on the 14th floor that has lounge furniture anddddd there's even a helipad so you can really take in the beauty of our amazing city. This is definitely a place I would recommend if your looking to host an event. read more

We wanted a wedding ceremony and reception that would not only dazzle us and our guests, but also showcase our home - Atlanta, to those who were visiting for the first time, and we got it! Ventana's, the panoramic views, the vibe, and the staff are simply amazing. Throughout planning, Dana guided us through every detail and provided solutions when we were uncomfortable with some of the details. On the Sunday of our wedding, all the staff were superb. Dana, Crystal and Jason were phenomenal. They were warm and attentive. Our family and friends loved and enjoyed our ceremony, loved the food at the reception, and danced the evening away. Our guests were not ready to leave at 11 p.m. Quick note - Be sure that your DJ is prepared with a frequency booster for the sound system (lots of signal interference in the City of Atlanta, otherwise your sound will go in and out and can ruin your event. read more

We had our company holiday party at Ventanas over the weekend. The venue was amazing. Ventanas is a rooftop event space located on top of the Hilton Garden Inn in Downtown Atlanta, across from the Georgia Aquarium and World of Coke. It occupies the 14th and 15th floors of the high-rise building and also features a helipad, so you can arrive to the party in style -- by helicopter! The elevator ride up provided magnificent views of Downtown and West Atlanta. The event space has two-story high floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Downtown and Midtown Atlanta. There's a sprawling patio outdoors with fire pits and couches. The 14th and 15th floors are connected by a spiral staircase outside along with an additional set of stairs and the elevator inside. The party lasted four hours. We started the evening on the 15th floor where there was an open bar for cocktails. Dinner was served on the 14th floor, buffet-style. Foods, catered by Ventanas, included different kinds of salads and vegetables, stuffed chicken, turkey, and slow-cooked beef ribs among other items. Everything was delicious. Like the 15th floor, the 14th floor also had a fully stocked bar. One thing I liked about the interior design was the 15th floor opens up and looks down upon the 14th floor. A DJ (not sure if he was with Ventanas) and dance floor occupied one corner of the 14th floor, facing Centennial Olympic Park, Philips Arena, and the Georgia Dome. Dinner was followed by coffee and desserts back on the 15th floor. A dessert display had been set up with different kinds of desserts including a twist on the traditional Twinkie, coconut balls, and chocolate-peppermint treats. My favorite part of Ventanas was probably the open-air rooftop patio. We were fortunate enough to have nice weather (50s/60s, clear skies) so we could take in views of the beautiful night sky, the Downtown skyline, the Christmas lights and ice skaters in the park, and stand around the fire for warmth. One observation I have about this event space is there are several places for people to hang out. Everyone is not centralized in one location. Instead, they can be dispersed. On the 14th floor, you can dance on the dance floor or eat, drink, or relax at one of the dining tables. On the 15th floor, you can lounge around and have drinks, coffee, or dessert. Outside, you can take in the views outdoors and keep warm by the fire pits. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Ventanas and thought our holiday party was a rousing success. Note: Parking for Ventanas is located in the parking deck across from Stats. It's normally $10, but free with validation. read more

The helicopter pad and rooftop view makes this one of the top event spaces in Atlanta! I've been here on several occasions including yesterday's event hosted by Salesforce & Atlanta Tribune Magazine. The food selections at the stations and passed o'douveres were great. The mixologists managing the open bar were fabulous & was up for the challenge to whip-up a sweet cocktail upon my request. The pleasure of being photographed on the helicopter pad was the highlight for the night! We braved the November night hawk to capture the moment & it was worth it! There's a connected parking garage as well as surrounding paid parking lots. Ventanas is a rooftop event space located in the heart of downtown next to Centennial Olympic Park (attached to the Hilton Garden Inn). I attended an event there recently and must say I enjoyed the atmosphere. When we arrived, we were greeted by a highlights video on the glass elevator. Once I exited, I entered the main room that is great for registration or having a welcome table. The hosts also used this area for a red carpet and bar. There are three other areas I am aware of: the rooftop patio, inside room (which is attached to the patio), and the helipad. While it has several levels, it still felt cozy and intimate making it the perfect venue. The rooftop had a great view of the city and plenty of room to mingle even with a large crowd. My favorite part was walking up to the top of the building for the helipad. I was amazed at how beautiful and peaceful it was. And let's talk about that view! Seeing the skyline at night was just amazing. The photos don't do it justice. I didn't want to leave and could have stayed there for the whole event. Seriously! So, if you are looking to book Ventanas for your next event, I think it is an excellent choice. read more

Ventana's is amazing! I was just there as a wedding guest and I left thinking that it has to be one of Atlanta's most beautiful settings for a reception. A concierge directed us to a glass elevator that whisked us directly up to the 14th floor. The doors opened into a modern-style loft area where guests mingled and enjoyed cocktails at high boy tables. Walls of windows offered a panoramic view of downtown and the Atlanta skyline. There was also a rooftop patio where guests could relax and enjoy views of the city. Eventually we were called down to the reception room one level below. By that time the sun started to set and the room glowed from the votive candles on tables. The transition from day to night was a gorgeous to see. The food was good but not particularly memorable. On each floor of the space there was a cash bar and a cute candy bar featuring treats like gummy bears, jellybeans and assorted nuts. Minus one half star for the acoustics. When it was time to introduce the wedding party, they couldn't hear the prompts to enter the room. It was also difficult to hear the toasts despite the fact that I was only sitting a few yards away. Granted this could have been an issue with the microphone but it created a few awkward moments. Other than those criticisms, Ventana's is a dream venue for a celebration. read more

This venue is absolutely gorgeous and the views are spectacular. I don't like clear elevators so I didn't look down on the ride up but once I got off it was worth it. It's two levels including a rooftop on both. It's a pretty decent size. I think it would be nice to have a wedding here but I imagine it's probably pretty pricey. They cater their own food. To my knowledge you can't bring in outside food or have another company cater. I tried some of the food--the sliders were my favorite. You park in the hotel deck and they validate your ticket when you leave. They also have a helipad...so if u wanna avoid traffic and have access to a helicopter then you can land on top of the building. Fun. read more

Ok...so here's the deal. I want to give credit where credit is due so you will see the highlights of the venue pointed out below. I recently had my wedding at Ventanas, and the bottom line is - the benefit of this place is the view. Don't expect decent service once the contract is signed. Location/Setting/Event Space - Honestly, I do not think there is a better, more flexible, modern, versatile event space in Atlanta. You will have AMAZING pictures based on the setting alone. The space is very versatile and can work for lots of different layouts. It has indoor space and outdoor space. The location is perfect for out of town guests. It's in the center of everything and attached to a hotel. Bartending - I received a lot of rave reviews about the bartenders who worked at our wedding from guests. Guests said they made fantastic drinks, were knowledgeable about rare drink orders, and were extremely fun. Other Staff - This is where there were issues. There were a number of other people who worked at the venue who were extremely rude and unprofessional. We were about as low key of a bride and groom as they come, but even for us we were turned off by some of the things that happened. To give one example, when we showed up for the rehearsal we asked if venue coordinator was there when I arrived, and a man said "Why would you need Lauren for a rehearsal. Can't you do that yourself." And basically refused to go get Lauren for us. This same person was horrified the next day when he realized he had been talking to the bride because he apparently thought my wife was a wedding coordinator the day before when he was so rude. He apologized profusely, but the experience left a bad taste in our mouth for the quality of service when we spent so much money. So why the one star rating if it sounds like a great event space with fun bartenders? Other issues included staffing turnover during planning, mediocre, yet very expensive food, paperwork getting lost, hotel reservation issues, it goes on and on, etc. Bottom line - Pretty space, you'll have great pictures, but bad service. read more

What.a.view. I was here for an OCO Global Networking event where Marketing Birmingham was representing their fair city as well. I must say, Ventanas represented for our friends across the pond for this intimate event. The catering was provided by people in the building and believe me when I say everything was delicious. The coolest part at the networking event involved sharing the view over a good conversation. If you can go out of your way to go here, do it. Let the complainers live below you. read more

Gorgeous, contemporary, and wow were my first thoughts walking into Ventanas for a wedding. The views of the city are breathtaking. The wedding took place in an upper floor of the venue. For such a large venue, the wedding felt intimate with the ceremony space. After the ceremony, we headed downstairs to the outside cocktail hour. The terrace overlooking the park and the skyline. I loved how the terrace had firepits and banquettes. I spent a lot of time out there during the reception because there was a place to hang out, drink some pinot noir, and talk to friends and family. After the cocktail hour, we went into the main space for dinner. Again, the venue outdid itself to make a smaller scale wedding intimate in a large setting. It was beautiful eating dinner among the glow of tea lights and the skyline all around you. The room felt warm and pleasant despite the heavy concrete and windows all around. Simply gorgeous. Ventanas is an extraordinary venue with its contemporary bent, yet so comfortable and relaxed even for a smaller wedding. read more

This is a super sexy and cool space that would be awesome for any kind of event...maybe barring a rodeo! My company had its holiday party here and I thought it was absolutely fantabulous. This venue is chic and has so much potential. It has 2 floors and also has an outdoor patio area. You get a lovely view of the Atlanta skyline! Ventanas would be a really great wedding reception venue. There is also a helipad on the rooftop for those of you who want to make a grand entrance or getaway. The only thing is that you have to cater with those allowed by the venue and there is a beverage minimum. Their website provides pricing, pictures, and other information. We kinda crashed a wedding because we wanted to see it at night when the city would be lit up & super glad we did cuz it really gave it the proper justice it deserved. It has 2 separate outdoor roof top patio areas which is perfect for a summer wedding / cocktail hour. The indoor area is really sexy. The lighting could have been a little better but I'm not sure if that's what the wedding party picked or if that's what is standard. The elevator leads u up to the venue and it had a tv built in playing a small movie / slideshow of whoever is getting married which I thought was super cute! Really liked this venue and had an amazing wedding. It was very pricey though and the venue rental was not long. Food was ok.

I'm not sure where to begin in my review, so many different things took place. To start everything was wonderful, the beauty of the venue is incomparable and Lauren(our contact) seemed more than happy to help. In January 2014 she was sweet as pie, gave quick responses to phone calls and emails, was happy to explain and/or answer any questions we may have had. We soon learned that it was her "do anything to get a contract" tactic. We choose our date, Sunday Aug 31st, had paper work drawn up and began to send over payment. Two hours later we got a call from Lauren saying that there was a oversight on her part and that Sunday was already booked. She agreed to give us Saturday instead for the Sunday rate and assured us that we would still get our block of rooms & have parking being that it was a big college football weekend for the city of Atlanta; so we accepted. We had no idea that this was only the beginning... In February, we began to contact more frequently about catering, linen, venue set up and more things of that nature. Her responses stopped coming and she stopped being so polite. At one point it took well over a week and a half for her to call my fiance back about an issue. It was just one ball drop after another. It went from us being able to use outside catering to us no longer being able to do so. From them providing standard black linen to us having to buy our own. From guest parking at the venue being $10-20 to $30-50; oh and we never got our room block(that was promised at booking) at the Hilton Garden Inn so we had to shuttle our guests in from another hotel! We even showed up for rehearsal two days before our wedding to find out a date we scheduled five months prior was NOT on their calendar. In the end the venue is far to beautiful for such bad customer service. Yes, it was peak wedding season but so is every other summer & too much money/effort go into making wedding dreams come true for venues to fall short in the customer care dept! I will say that Lauren and team did give us an extra hour for free to sort of make up for all the hick-ups during planning. But for me, as stressful as wedding planning can be, the customer service was unacceptable to say the least! My day still turned out beautiful, nonetheless!!! read more

Incredibly disappointed with the waitstaff. Went there for a wedding and immediately after the champagne toast, at the end of dinner, the DJ asked everyone to come to the dance floor area to surround the bride and groom for their first dance. Upon my return to my seat, BOTH my nearly full champagne glass and wine glass were gone. Made me curious if the open bar tab was based on empty bottles. And then, Later, I had to stop a server from clearing my cousin's plate of cake- of which she hadn't yet even had a bite!! Our plates and glasses and even the buffet food were all cleared way too soon, in my opinion. If you're planning an event, make sure you discuss this review with the manager. read more

Got stuck in a very full elevator leaving an event. Extremely poor communication by staff while we were left in confusion in a hot, crowded elevator. Fire department had to come to pry open the doors. Nobody from Ventanas or Hilton Garden Inn came to check on the group or apologize. I was in Atlanta for a wedding this weekend that was hosted at Ventanas. It was super convenient because we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn (attached to this venue). The VIEW here is absolutely beautiful, it offers an almost 360 degree view of Downtown Atlanta. There's a great outdoor area too with couches and fire places. The staff was awesome, the bartenders made a GREAT drink.. service all around was amazing. The decor of the venue made the wedding one of the best I've been too. Food was fantastic, we had a chicken and steak dish, and the hors devours at the cocktail hour were delicious. If i lived in Atlanta, I'd want to host my wedding reception here! read more

Perfect place for a corporate event!

My wife and I were fortunate to be here for the Fourth of July Celebration. Within an hour she had all of the documents and contracts sent to my email, which included answers to questions that my fiancé and I asked during our visit. Ventanas is the perfect venue for any occasion and the staff is amazing! From the moment we first met with Lauren Fielder, we felt at ease because we knew our wedding was going to be spectacular. Her personable yet professional demeanor was very comforting as we already had a few ideas about what we wanted in our ceremony, but really had no idea the magnitude of detail that goes into a production like that. Every detail from the table decor to the lighting was addressed with care and consideration for our wishes, all while respecting our budget. It was such a relief to have Lauren as our coordinator and it took a lot of stress off of me so I could focus on the more important things, like marrying the man of my dreams.
