We popped in after leaving the Juneteenth celebration in Hapeville. It looked so nice as we passed it we decided to stop in in lieu of going to Edgewood as planned. We only had 1 drink each. I had the lychee martini and my husband ordered a glass of wine. The lychee martini tasted more like a pineapple martini and I tasted no lychee puree in the drink. And I'm not sure what gave it that pinkish color. I wouldn't order it again. The lychee fruit itself was delicious. I just wish the martini tasted more like it than pineapple. The inside is as nice as the exterior. The hostess/greeter and the bartenders were nice and attentive. The gender neutral restroom was clean. We tried the vegan pot stickers, fried chicken wings, house salad, Thai jasmine rice stir-fried with peas, carrots, onions, green onions, and egg, along with a spicy curry made with young chili peppers, bell peppers, zucchini, eggplant, bamboo shoots, and basil. This spot's really cute and chill. There's a nice vibe to the restaurant and I noticed some spiral stairs to an upstairs I didn't get to see but saw employees using, perhaps a storage area, not sure. Tasty food, ordered the crab fried rice and the Thai basil fried rice with shrimp as the protein. The shrimp flavor was just okay, thus my 4 stars, but the spice level had my heart. I usually go with Thai hot but went a notch down and the spice was just right for my preference. We were tended to regularly with frequent check ins and water refills as well as greeted by the general manager. I was very happy with our dining experience. The lot is limited and we came on a Wednesday night so not sure what a crowded evening would look like but I believe I parked in the last available spot when I arrived! Ended up here on a lark around College Park staying near the airport. Very laid back diverse clientele. Very cool setting and great menu. First things first. The bathroom is an A Plus (the bathroom cleanliness is a mirror of the kitchen, folks, so if you don't want to use that bathroom you don't definitely do not want to eat out of the kitchen. It took an hour to get a cold plate of food, with no regrets from the service staff. No one bothered to check if everything was ok which it was not. It was quiet and the evening crowd hadn't picked up just yet. I was sitting at the bar when one of their spirit vendors came in. I jokingly said to the vendor we would love to try the spirits. She said if the boss agrees. He looked at my friend and i, gave us a half glance and looked back down. My issue is...if he was the manager/ owner he never even acknowledged us, didn't ask if our food was good nothing. I mean it's not busy what a perfect time to get time to just say hello. It felt cold and entitled. Atlanta is a place of diversity and you never know who you will meet. I can't say that i would visit again. I'm done patronizing places that don't make me feel good.
