I'd give this a five if activities changed, but they don't so after 6 or 7 trips my granddaughter became bored with it. But it is clean, enough places for sitting and a reasonably priced snack bar. I also appreciate that it is kept clean and is not screaming loud! We usually spend at least 3 hours there. The year pass is well worth the price. read more

Well, I should have known better. It is all about getting you in the door - and then nothing. No help. No employees to explain or assist with the activities. And 4 out of 5 activities DID NOT WORK. Adventure Lab - games did not work. You Design -Did not work. Be A Star - only one worked and very poorly. Activity Studio - was out of materials. Silly Selfies - did not work. And No Staff to assist or to take questions. The make a label for a crayon and the modeling clay was ok with purchase with a token included in admission. Food in snack shop and cafe was overpriced, but not a surprise. Many other activities required cash to do - arcade, vending machines, with Candy, Scribble Scrubbies. Kids were able to entertain themselves on the Rainbow Rain, 'playground' and Stomp and Play areas. Texture Crayze was also out of materials and no assistance. And you would think everyone would leave with a small package of crayons for the $20/person admission - but no. We won't go back. read more

Probably best for 3-8 year olds. It would be a better experience- but when we visited today, about 1/2 the stuff and technology wasn't working. The technology also seemed very dated- like it was cutting edge in 2005. A few of the experiences require 'tokens'... of which your $23 admission gets you only two. I think it it would be a 4 star experience if it was running at full throttle. There also isn't much for adults to do/engage in. Our toddler had fun, but we probably won't be back. read more

Lots to do here for the kids including a play place the staff is friendly and lines weren't crazy long (we need go on a weekday but it was summer). We got the year pass & we're looking forward to visiting again. The year pass was just a few dollars more then the day pass!! read more

Not gona lie, all the 1 star bad reviews were scaring me off. But we still took a chance. Boy were we glad we did. We had such a great time! Not only was everyone helpful and everything was great. But it was relaxing for us the grown ups. Felt good to take a seat and color away wether it was markers, crayons, or water colors. I wish we lived closer to it so we could get the season pass. But we will surely be back sooner than later. Go in with an open mind, and do your own thing. Don't just go by all the negativity on this page. You'll be glad you did. read more

Poorly run. Employees don't seem to know what's going on. Most of the attractions were broken.

So many things wrong with this place. Family pass is only for a family of four. So I had to pay $30.99 if I wanted to join my family. I asked exactly what there is for adults to do in there. I was told with a smile that we could color and paint. She knew it was a joke, in order to take my 6,4, and 3 year old we had to pay $60 to just walk around. Save your money this place was is NOT WORTH IT!!!! read more

Not a bad experience for the price. If they are having a sale on the annual pass I suggest getting it. We ended up only paying about 15 bucks more for it, so with a second trip it will have paid for itself. You also get a discount on purchases with an annual pass. You can spend about an hour or two here and it's a great way to beat the heat come summer time. I doubt, though, that we'll renew after our year is up. read more

Awful! Very dirty - bathrooms are a mess- the tables are dirty- not enough people working there- the supplies at the tables are not re-stocked. The food area is dirty with food all over the floor. Very disappointing. read more

I loved the Crayola Experiance! I read most of the reviews before taking my kids there. I was a little iffy at first because they are 14 and 17. But my children are still kids at heart. We still color, and paint, and sculpt, and my 17 year loves to play with legos. They spent 4 hours playing and being creative. I did see in the reviews that people didn't know where to use tokens. Upon arrival I noticed a huge sign right behind the ticket taker that tells you where to use your tokens and there is a map as well. Also, I did find a quarter machine against one wall across from the Sweet Shop. I have included pictures of both. I found the staff to be helpful. Any questions I had, they were happy to provide an answer or find someone who knew the answer. They also have EMTs on staff just in case. With children getting excited and running around, you never know when someone might fall down or bump their head. Everything is self paced, I'm not sure why people are upset about not having a guide. And I get the pricing. You would pay for admission at a water park or Six Flags even if you didn't swim it ride the rides. Crayola wants the parents to engage in the activities with their children. It's an attraction, there is fun to be had, and yes there are some days it's going to be crowded, go have fun! read more

4 stars for all the fun educational stations. Perfect for younger aged children. We came in an hour before closing, so admission tickets were 50% off! read more

This has potential to be good entertainment for kids. The lines to do anything were very long and there were way too many daycares/schools to actually enjoy it. The play structure had way too many kids on it and it seemed unsafe. If coming here, wait until 2pm because thats when alot of the schools and daycares leave. read more

This is a great experience for all ages! Don't miss out on the fun if you are in the area. There are only four in the US. We made Crayola labels with our name on them. My daughter enjoyed melting a crayon into a ring. Never a dull moment here. We arrived early and never waited in a line. We left about 2 hours because it was starting to get crowded. read more

I would find this three and a half stars if possible. Lots of different activities. Pricing is definitely structured to push an annual pass, which made sense for us. Good summer activity close to home. They do hire special needs individuals, which is awesome, but they need more staff and more maintenance. There are broken machines all over the place. All in all, I think it's a fun place! read more

This is great for kids 6 and under. It's a very basic experience. Nothing to exciting. My 9 year old loves to color but would have preferred to just buy a new coloring book or download one on his iPad. Parents should not be required to pay. Prices are too expensive. Would not return and would not recommend for ages over 6. read more

I read all the reviews. I still felt like we should try for a fun outing for our 3 year old. Unfortunately so many of the reviews were correct. It is an incredible concept, but is SO POORLY executed. I will say, the employees we came into contact with were better versed than other reviewers said, but I wouldn't say Customer service was ever great. First, we had purchased our tickets on Groupon and STILL had to wait in line, all the while 2-3 camp busses of day camp kids herded in in front of us. Why buy tickets ahead of you have to still wait? Secondly, WHY are there no instructions? Each exhibit is a great idea, but there is no instruction listed for anything. This wouldn't be an issue except in some instances you have to wait for an employee or you are dealing with hot machines... you basically need the employees to help and they don't explain that very well so it's a big question mark. THIRD, get some help at the concessions when you have camps come in. Seriously, my daughter waited for a REFILL behind two kids that couldn't decide a flavor and then we're counting coins for 10 minutes - you need to have protocols for those that are not with the camps to actually enjoy themselves. Camp kids were running in front of people, hijacking turns for exhibits that others were waiting for, all without supervision. The saving grace was the gift shop where my kids loved making their own pack of crayons from the wall of colors. In all honesty, skip the "experience" if you'd like to save your sanity and head to the gift shop. My 3yo didn't even seem impressed with any of it. We came to Texas and did a TON of activities. This was the biggest disappointment. Whomever owns this, you need to do better. It is just a waste of an amazing idea. read more

We were so impressed with the Crayola Experience. We had 8 kids with us and all the kids and the adults had so much fun. The staff was great and the place was clean. There are so many fun stations to make things. I highly recommend checking it out and allowing plenty of time for yourself to enjoy. We will be back! read more

I love love love the Crayola Experience! Jacob did so amazing helping with everything for my sons bday party. He didn't just get out money and walked away he kept asking if we need anything helped clean the room he was just so amazing! All the staff did so good it made my sons bday party super special and perfect! Thank y'all for being amazing! read more

It was a good outing with the kids. Activities were fun but the wait times were way too long given that the lines themselves were short. Kids did have fun, but I don't see us coming back again anytime soon. It was very similar to legoland in grapevine mills read more

I went my family with majority kids. It's was a great way to do a summer activity without being outside. We went on a Tuesday around mid afternoon.m which was a good time because it wasn't too packed. For four hours we did almost all of the activities. It was a pretty interactive museum and I loved how the kids connected with an object that was here for many years through technology and on paper. I would say some improvement could be used on having more staff available, including more information for each activity, and tiered pricing for different age groups. If you're a teacher you can get in for free. Just bring your school badge. read more

If your kids love coloring and the different experiences that come with that then they will love this place. Great option to beat the heat here in Texas. And when the kiddos are tired of the activities there is a large play structure in the middle. read more

In reality, adults should have one review protocol while children have another for the Crayola Experience. As an adult taking kids, I would suggest paying attention to the time you go. During peak hours it is a bit like standing in line to ride something at Disneyland; or, fighting for a good buy on Black Friday! However, going after 5:00 can be leisurely and pleasant. Regardless, the kids really seem to love this place and enjoy going there. read more

We love the Crayola Experience!! It seriously is a lot of fun for the whole family. There is so much to do and it's not just about drawing pictures. You can print your own labels for crayons. You can melt crayons, poor the wax into a mold for cool shapes. Melt the crayons and use the wax to make cool designs on paper. They have a show throughout the day that walks you through the crayon making process, etc. and the whole place is covered with fun facts about the history of crayons. It's just a lot of fun for the whole family. Our 4 year old son loves going. We bought an annual pass and would highly recommend you do the same. We've certainly got our money's worth out of it. read more

We received free tickets it was a fun time for my 10 year old niece. A little too advance for my 2 and 1 year old but they enjoyed the play area. I would recommend for kids above 5 but it's a bit pricey. read more

This is a great place. If you're planning to go just once, it is a little pricey in my opinion. But the season pass is just about 10 dollars more so if you live close enough, it's worth getting that pass because you aren't rushed, you can come and go as you need/want. It's a lot of fun and my daughter loves it. I'm so happy they put one here. It's really neat all the things you can do in the place. They even had an adult night last week from what I saw which is pretty cool. read more

This place was awesome!! Sooo much fun things for kids and adults. We took my 14 yr old and she loved it!!! Can't wait to go back with her cousins. Sooo many things to do. Get the annual pass it's well worth it because of the discounts. We went at 12pm and it started to get busy at 1pm but it still wasn't bad. We were there for 4 hrs and had a blast the whole time!! We will definitely be going back again!! read more

We loved our early August experience here! Lots to do with two small kids (2 and 6). We were there for two hours and didn't get to everything! All attractions were in working order and staff was efficient and helpful. It felt clean and well maintained (but I'm aware it's new). Will definitely come back! read more

We went to Crayola Experience on a Sunday afternoon. It was pretty chill and not very crowded. We made our way around to the different stations and stopped to let our two year old play on the toddler town playground. We very quickly noticed that kids much older were playing in the toddler area. I went over to an employee to inquire about enforcing that older kids aren't running over the toddlers. She started making her way to the toddler play area but stopped when I said "they may be siblings but they are way too big to be playing in what you all call toddler town", and she said if they are siblings they are allowed over there. I responded that does not make much sense because how would you all know who are siblings etc and that offers no protection for smaller children. I asked to speak to the manager to give my feedback and while she listened she could not really defend their lack of oversight. I should also mention the bigger kid play area is literally right next to and completely visible to the toddler area. People are paying good money to come here so don't falsely advertise toddler areas that are over run by older kids. I can't imagine what it's like on a busy day. Also, when a customer asked to talk to a manager make sure your employees don't respond "they will say the same thing as me" .. that is a sign of really poor customer service. read more

Great place for my 2 and 4 (nearly 5) year olds!! Admission is $20, but with the online deal I was able to get 3 annual passes for only $27 each (no brainer, especially since it gets you 30% off in the store and 20% off of food)! Admission also includes some tokens which can be redeemed for things like custom-labled crayons. I went with my kids the Sunday after Easter, which had terrible weather and was definitely an "inside" day. Even given that, it was definitely not overcrowded. Tons of great activities for the kids, really neat technology. We wound up spending about 4 hours there without even realizing it, and will definitely be going back! read more

We took our 4 year old cousin to beat the heat. The activities were interesting and fun. They are geared for ages 4-8ish. She had a good time and was interested the whole time-spent 2 hours there and still had some things we could have done. Most activities are included on the cost of admission. Kroger has coupons. Why not 4 stars? We found the staff cold and disconnected. For a children's activity center, they could have been more enthusiastic and friendly. read more

I was quite disappointed in the cleanliness of this facility. Trash everywhere, and I arrived when they opened! For a kid centered attraction, they need to have a staff that is always sanitizing surfaces and cleaning up. While I saw many employees doing their job, some were just sitting around. Also, many machines were out of order. I understand things break down from time to time, but in the station where kids use melted crayons to write and draw, half of the writing utensils were out of order. It seems that the people in charge of this place are not taking much pride in the Crayola brand and what they put out for customers. It's a shame because the concept is good, just very poorly executed. read more

Average, bordering on below average. Price gets you in and you get two measly tokens to do anything extra. Extra includes printing your name on a crayon label and getting a single color pack of modeling clay. Of course, you can buy extra tokens at 50 cents each. Activities were kind of like "are you kidding me". One of the attractions "Meltdown" was down. The other two activities the kids wanted to do, the spin and crayon melting had an unbearable wait. The other things like the virtual fountain didn't work, and the scanner of the virtual world only worked on like half the machines. Pretty sad as I wanted to get the kids out to do something more, be creative, but this was just free neighborhood party activities throw into an expensive package. The only thing I liked was the movie attraction which showed the process of making a crayon. There are better experiences for kids, Crayola needs to try harder. read more

Great place to take the kids , took a 2 yr old and 8 yr old and they both enjoyed their selves . Many activity tables & things to do . Also can be an all day thing . Strollers are also welcome inside for the parents that have younger kids . My little family will be returning . read more

We usually really like places like this, but the customer service here has really disappointed me. I brought my two little daughters there a week ago Saturday and after waiting for a really long time at the wax hands, my daughters were ravenously hungry so I took them to the restaurant to get kids meals. I ran my credit card to pay. The reader completed the transaction and said to remove my card. The cashier said that my card didn't go through because the receipt didn't print at her end. She said that we had to wait for their IT person to come resolve the issue before my girls could get their lunches. My girls were having a really hard time because lunch was overdue. I asked if my girls could please have their meals while we waited for them to resolve their issue. About 30 minutes later the IT person finally came and they charged my card a second time. I told the IT person and maybe the manager that I had already paid. That the reader on my end had completed the transaction. After paying twice, double for the same thing my girls finally got something to eat. A week later when my credit card bill came in the mail, low and behold we were charged twice/double for the exact same thing. I called the store to report the overcharge and the issues and the lady said that they would get back to me to resolve the issue. Yet she never asked for my contact information. I asked her to please write down my name and phone number and say it back to me. If this business cared at all about their customers they would call me back. Still waiting.... read more

For very small children 3-6 good concept and would be better if all the items worked. I took 3 boys under 7 and they were actually bummed because quite a few activities didn't work or work properly not to mention a lot of the interactive activities are in Spanish ?? Definitely just a 1 time thing - Adults pay 25$ why? Food is also pricey read more

The staff could have been a bit more interactive but the overall experience was great. The food sucked.. we trashed ours and went to eat at the food court. The place was clean, granted it just opened, but will definitely be visiting again! read more

My kids like this place, but it is way overpriced. So you have to buy the membership and go several times to make it worth it. Most exhibits have a digital component which is always broken so you have to constantly go find someone to ask for help. They close half the exhibits for social distancing but then the employees gaggle together so like most things Covid they're just checking off boxes and none of it makes much sense. I've been here probably six times and it's always the same story. Right before we left and were trying to use up the kid's tokens, the front check-in lady actually chastised us for trying to reach the item that wouldn't come out of the broken machine. I've never been talked to so rudely at a business in my life. If you can't keep your equipment in working order, you should have someone actually standing at that exhibit to do it for the kids. And if you can't do that, then have a key to use to fix it. Otherwise people will do it themselves because it's just too frustrating to go seek out help every time. Usually the staff here are so kind and helpful, but she ruined our experience over something so insignificant. Not sure I'll return. read more

I don't get the bad reviews! I was blown away by this place. We came on a Friday and the crowd wasn't bad at all. We also found tickets for 12.99 online (just a simple google search). We came with our 6 year old and 3 year old. You start with getting a bag with two tokens in it that you use to wrap your crayon and do the modeling station. Figuring out the craft areas is pretty simple (reviews are right there's not an employee at every station but it's pretty self explanatory). You walk in and immediately get to wrap your own crayon. Awesome. We made extra for some friends of our kids. Then there's a modeling station, then melt and mold, drip art, all very fun activities. The theatre show on how to make a crayon is awesome. Fun and interactive. The play area is great. We were a little less thrilled with the lab, but still ok. Overall an awesome experience. Even the three adults that went were blown away with how cool this place is. You also learn a lot of neat history about crayons. We spent about three hours here and it was well worth the money. I would say any older than about 8 would probably be bored, but our kids had a blast! read more

Perhaps to some, a creative concept is actualized only with chaos. If so, take $30 and put it in blender. You'll see fun colors, waste your money, but still avoid the Crayola Experience. This is a jumbled mess of an attraction. A wide open space, two playgrounds, and a few side attractions. One station, with melted wax, kept burning visitors so they closed it down entirely. Another, with a tab integration that leads you through stations to solve challenges, may or may not work, depending on the tab you get. If you ask one of the workers for assistance, they have no clue. Given the place is run by (sweet but inexperienced) teenagers, don't expect any depth of customer service or support beyond a cursory sorry with a bonus shrug. We stood in line in the store for 20 minutes with a lone cashier who struggled with receipt paper. Not one co worker or supervisor noticed that the line grew from the ample sized store back towards the exit, nor that their co worker was struggling. If you set your expectations to "black Friday in a Walmart" level, you may not be disappointed. If you also wish to throw your money away at a below standard event, you've found it! read more
