We took a group of almost 100 kindergarten students here for a field trip, booked 2 months in advance. When we arrived, we lined up and waited for our lead teacher to check in and pick up our ticket. We were told by a staff member to exit the entry area and sit out in the hall to wait. Meanwhile, another group of teachers and students from a different school took our place and were NOT told to to leave. After a delay of over 30 minutes, we received our tickets, but were short tokens for 46 students, requiring another trip to the front desk and an even longer delay. Finally, everything seemed in order and we approached the ticket taker. A teacher from a different school came barreling up to the front of the line, yelling that she and her students HAD to go ahead of my group because they were late. I calmly explained that this was not going to happen because we, too, were "late" after our unexpected delay. She kept insisting, and the Crayola Employee ALLOWED her to cut in front of all my students. Once we were inside, it was actually a lot of fun, aside from the fact that they WAY overbooked and there was a line of about 20 or more people for many of the activities. Also, two of the stations at the drip art activity were out of order, creating an even longer wait time. Finally, when we scheduled our trip we reserved a lunch room (not free) for 10:30 am. When we checked in, we found out they had actually booked us for 12:30, giving us only 30 minutes to pass out food, clean up, take a restroom break and be back on the bus by 1:00. With kindergarten students. Almost 100 of them. Overall, this is a really fun place to visit, but be prepared for tons of miscommunication, overcrowding, and delays. By the way, the same obnoxious teacher demanding that she enter ahead of us also tried shoving her way through a group of special needs kindergarten students boarding the bus at the end of the trip - because she HAD to get to get her students on the bus and they were LATE. Some people. read more

Several machines/computers didn't work in each station. Meltdown didn't have crayons in most guns. Rainbow Rain was out of order. Science Lab didn't work. It needs to be shut down for a total repair and have more stations added. Individual 6-pack of crayons should be given to each person paying $22 for entry. Crayon buckets on coloring tables are filthy! But, my granddaughter had fun, so I am giving two stars. read more

It was cool to see. Not very many things to do. Going one time is definitely enough. I wouldn't go back, but it was a cool experience. Kids enjoyed the playground read more

Way too expensive for what you get! They hand you a clear plastic bag with 2 tokens and don't explain a thing. The toddler section was okay for my 2 year old but there wasn't much else that she was interested in. Lunch options are few (pizza or chicken nuggets). They say no outside food, but we brought some anyways and nobody said a thing. I'd abide by the rules if they had more options! Overall it was a cool indoor activity that kept us entertained for a couple of hours, but I don't know that we will return. read more

Terrible customer service. Staff is rude. Disorganized and not worth the money. Definitely would not come back.

This place is really lacking anything FUN. After 5 mins. It gets boring..lots of wasted space and boring activities..i dont see the place making it for very long..they need a new person to come up with fun activities..plus the staff isnt friendly or welcoming. I bought the annual pass because for rainy days the indoor playground is fun for them read more

I came to experience the Crayola Experience, I walk up with my daughter and the 3 cashiers in the front were talking to each other not acknowledging us. I had to say hello and still none of them greeted us. Customer service much? We had some passes to get in for free and the girl says"what is this?" The girls were rude. I expected them to be nice and respectful, but I got the opposite. read more

Two year old grandson enjoyed. Agree that it is absurd for adults to have to pay full price as they don't utilize the attraction. They had $10 off after 5pm when we went, so be sure and check for that as it was not shown on website. Not something we would visit more than once unless for grandkids that have not been there. Could be kept cleaner, several popcorn spills in chalk area although not crowded at all on weeknight. read more

WAY TOO MANY DAYCARE GROUPS to make this enjoyable. There were literally thousands of kids and very few staff there to handle that size crowd. When I left, I counted 26 daycare buses in the parking lot. TWENTY SIX!! Inside, it was like a giant kids mosh pit- big kids running around everywhere and knocking little kids down, the lines for every attraction were way too long and kids cutting in line. We were there for 2 hours and only did one activity. It was a nightmare. I don't understand why they don't limit the number of large groups on a daily basis unless it's to make more money at the cost of quality control. read more

Great sense of creativity. But to crowded on summer. Good experience. I wish more activities for toddlers. The playground is too small.

I'm glad we went when it was slow bc half the machines were broken and not many staff members were available to help in Melt and Mold areas and Spin Art. I would think staff members would be present to answer question or provide guidance but none to be seen. Because of no staff many of the stations were a mess with papers and crayons spread out everywhere. My kids enjoyed it but I cant see us coming back. read more

The concept is nice but the management is AWFUL! They cater to the schools the visit and not the regular families. The manager could care less about the toddler area being over run by elementary aged kids. The store always forgets to give me my member discount. The place is usually a mess too. There is a lot of potential- my kids love it, but it needs a serious management change. There are so many other great kid play places nearby that treat customers better. read more

We went first time with our grandson after hearing it was his new favorite place. The place seemed cluttered and it was messy. The paint area was messed up and in one area popcorn was all over the floor. It seemed the place was grossly understaffed. The real problem came at checkout. My wife stood in line for 45 minutes waiting to pay for something in the gift shop. Only after 45 minutes a teacher came and took about 15 students from the back of the line to the front of the line to checkout and the employees allowed this without saying a word. My wife called me while I was out in the mall and informed me of this issue. When I came back I complained to the manager and she was unaware of the problem but the cashier blamed the teacher and I responded no it's your fault because you should have never allowed this to happen. Me and about 20 other people were furious and had I been there the teacher would have never been allowed to this to happen. So my experience was ruined completely by the lack of service and caring showed to us at the registers. Three registers and only one was open then they opened another one finally. My advice is to go only at very slow times sinc they are so understaffed and poorly managed and unprofessional or just stay away completely! read more

Worst experience!! 23 dollars/person and we didn't do anything. Such a waste of time. A lot of teenagers working that don't care about their job. We didn't enjoy at all. Not even my 10 year old son. We were on the line to get our wax hand mold. My 16 month old son started to fuss coz he can't stand on the line so long. So we got out of the line and leave my 10 yr old son on the line. After 45 minutes it was his turn but the girls on the cash registered took the registered out and started putting new drawer. One is talking to the girl doing the register for another 20 minutes. So it made me irritated because she could have started the process of doing my sons hands while the other girl is working on the cash register. They were just playing around and other customer were not very pleased of how slow they are and a crying toddler. My son also request for color blue and purple for the color and she gave him blue and pink instead. But my son just like accepted what they gave him. When I told them that. The girl gave me an OKAY! Answer with an attitude. The girl that was on the registered apologize but not the girl with an attitude. Will not recommend and will not come back!! read more

I'm so disappointed by the experience here. The staff looked so annoyed and generally unpleasant. I feel like the tickets were overpriced. Once you pay to enter their is a token system for some activities and you need quarters for games. There should be a more cohesive money system especially when you are dealing with impatient kids. I have to say that one of the most disappointing things was there was so many broken/ malfunctioning items. You wait in lines and you wonder why things are going so slow only to realize 4 out of 10 stations are out of order. It was almost comical to us because every activity had something wrong with it. For instance I put quarters in the skeet machine and it took my money, but no balls dropped. They have a theater and they show a play every hour about the history of crayons. We waited in line grabbed a seat once the show started 3 out of the 5 TVs did not work. When we were ready to leave. I noticed that I was overcharged. I went to the front desk to ask for a correction. The employee said, "I'm sorry but all the managers are in a meeting, and I'm not sure when they will be done. Sometimes they take 15 min or sometimes they take an hour." She offered no other solution. How is it possible for all of the managers to step off of the floor in a customer service environment. It just made no sense to me. I hope they turn this place around. read more

It's a cool place to take kids between 5-12 of ages. Theirs a lot of activities to do while their. Their food is always cold and VERY high priced. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because we went to use the women bathroom and when I tell you that every stall was dirty it was Dirty. I went to tell a manager and just had said that they was busy. Their was barely any people their. Employees was just chit chatting the whole time we was their. read more

Love this place! So much to do here and a great price! Get the membership online it's totally worth it!

I knew the ticket cost for my 4-1/2 granddaughter, but when I had to buy a ticket for myself (and for what??) I figured what this place was about. There were cool things for kids, but we can color pages at home for $46.00. read more

Went with kiddos ages 4-8 and overall, it was a good experience. We bought annual passes and have been back for a second visit. Not all of the stations were open either time. I did see more employees this time, working to keep stations clean and full. All of the kids had a great time, as did my sister and I. The food is overpriced, so both times we opted to eat at food court and go back to play. Great indoor place to take kiddos to burn energy for a few hours! read more

Amazing....best kids experience we have been to in a long time! Took two 7 year olds and they loved every minute of it. Went on a Friday morning right at the 10 am opening. Waited in line about 15 minutes to purchase tickets. Bought the annual pass for family of four for $104. Spent 3 hrs and was able to do everything. Favorites in order included: 1) 'Wrap It Up' - design and name your own crayon 2) 'Silly Selfies' - crayon on a provided picture then input to computer with your own face 3) 'Drip Art' - create artwork by melting 2 crayon colors together in a machine 4) 'Kaleidoscope' - dance and see your face on the jumbo screen in a kaleidoscope style 5) 'Cool Moves' - dance and the giant crayons on the jumbo screen will copy your moves 6) 'Be a Star' - have a photo taken of yourself and then color it 7)'Melt and Mold' - choose to make a ring or car out of crayon by molding it in a machine 8) 'Rainbow Rain' - dance and see yourself on a giant screen with other kids alongside 9) Theatre - cute little show about crayons, their history and how they are made featuring animation and a live person. Ran every hour when we visited - 10:30, 11:30 etc. 10) Scribble Square - giant chalk board 11) Adventure Lab - solve puzzles - 8 yrs and up 12) 'Color Magic' - turn coloring page into real adventure 13) 'Stomp and Play' - interactive floor than responds to your moves You could spend 8 hrs here if you have the energy! It does take a little effort by parents to help their kids figure out how to do things. Some activities were staffed while others were not. I saw about 8 employees on the floor total. They had only 2 cashiers up front. So yes, if you read they are understaffed this is correct, however we didn't let it ruin our fun. I imagine Saturday and Sundays are a zoo. You can enter and exit if you would like. The line for the cafe was long....we ended up visiting the food court in the mall after for a late lunch. There is a jungle gym for both toddlers and children. Some activities require tokens (mold & crayon making but the tickets include a few upon entry) You will also get a bag to keep all your kids creations in. I love the way they have taken the timeless treasure of a crayon and integrated into this generation that loves all things computers. It's a great mix of old fashion coloring and really advanced and interesting computer activities. I can't think of a more educational and fun activity for my kids around DFW, except maybe the Perot. We are lucky to have this! You can only do water and trampoline parks so often. Totally recommend! read more

Loved the idea of this place. Was really looking forward to it. Ended disappointed with the overall experience and upset how we were treated my a few employees. My MIL, 4 yr old, 2 yr old, and myself arrived a little before noon. There were a few daycares/ summer camps there, which was fine, but made it somewhat busy. The station to name your own colors was right in the front but busy so we skipped that until the end. Had a lot of fun on the other activities. There were a ton of coloring stations but little variety of pictures to choose from. Most of the colors available to choose from where in the yellow, pink, and purple range. Would have been nice to have more blues, greens, etc to choose from. We ate lunch at the little cafe there. Fries were good, hot dog pizza were ok, burger was horrible. They also needed to change the syrup on the Dr. Pepper. I told one of the workers behind the counter and her response was just a very rude "Ok?" Like "what do you want me to do about it?" kind of thing. We played around for a while longer then headed out. Grandma wanted to get the kids a toy on the way out so they picked out 2 little toys. The overly-rude Lynne was the cashier who rang us up. She overcharged us saying we also got a $6.99 keychain (which we didn't) that she was holding behind the counter. We hadn't ever even seen the keychain. Told us she would do a refund "in a little bit" and made us wait for her to ring up 5 other families. That was just the icing on the cake for our underwhelming visit. Most likely won't be back again. Certainly wouldn't go out of my way to get there. read more

Not worth the money at all!!! Spent $40.55 for lunch, they had no lunchboxes for the kids meal and my bread on my burger had MOLD on it. I didn't understand any of this. They just open in March. read more

The experience I had was one of being con'd out of $100+! What a waste of time. Hubby and I drove an hour to take our grandchildren ages 7 and 5 yesterday. The place was packed with large groups of children with very little supervision. The activity stations need to have an employee specifically for that area as there were not enough craft supplies on each table to accommodate the number of persons for that table. I was constantly having to gather stuff from other tables. The Crayola Show was a joke. The audio was sketchy from the beginning then the video went out. The children can't really see what is going on as the seats are too far back from the stage. So...can't see; can't hear...what's the point? The price of food is outrageous! Paid $5 for a regular small box of popcorn (not the collectors tub)! The play area is madness. It's nothing special, much like the one at Chick filet. Just bigger. I watched as older children mowed over smaller kids as they climbed up to the slides. Since it is so loud the kids cannot hear you. Again no workers in the area to help. All attractions had long lines; lots of waiting. There is really NOTHING there that you can not do at home. Melt crayons and make a mold, spin art with melted crayons, color and/or paint a picture page, play with play dough, watch how crayons are made on You Tube. Both kids lost interest and were ready to go home after 2 hours. Save yourself the headache and go to a movie, afterward eat and play at Chick Filet, then stop by Walmart and buy a color book. You will have a more enjoyable "experience" and still have $'s left over. I expected more from a company as big as Crayola! read more

I guess you would say this is a review on the business model, not the business because we never actually made it inside. My daughter (9) and I were looking forward to a very special time together here. We arrived at opening and were met by an unfriendly employee letting us know that they had over 1000 kids coming today as part of daycare groups and that we should come back another day. I had already purchased my tickets in advance : (. That was my first mistake. Had I not purchased the tickets, we would never go back. They are more interested in making a profit than selling a quality product/experience. If they were interested in a quality product/experience they would A) limit the number of daycamp groups that can enter per day and B) consider timed entry to limit the number in the experience at one time. They need to understand that a parent visiting with a child will take care of the equipment and use it properly, probably spend money in the gift shop/food court, and quite possibly return. A child visiting with a daycamp is revenue for today but is not supervised, destroys the stations, and probably is not a return customer. My opinion is that they need to seriously look at their business model or it will quickly become a dump and shortly thereafter close the doors. read more

My family and I went here over the spring break week. It was awesome! We took a 7 year old and a 2 year old. Our 2 year old didn't enjoy it as much as our 7 year old did. She actually fell asleep during our time there. Lol. They had really cool stations that you could do really cool things at. It's such a huge place, and there was something to do everywhere you looked. The lines at the stations went pretty quick for the most part, some took a little longer. They offered a cafe area, and then a snack area as well. I thought it was pretty cool to separate the cafe part where you actually buy food for a meal, and a snack area where you just buy quick snacks. Smart! There were employees at some of the stations (mainly the ones with lines), but the others you had to figure out on your own. They had 2 jungle gyms that were separated for the bigger kids and then the smaller kids. Plus for that! Their gift shop was awesome as well! So many things to choose from, prices were decent. Definitely had Crayola items that you couldn't find anywhere else. We spent 4 hours there and still didn't get to a few of the stations. That being said, we would definitely return. I believe that this place is fun for all ages....grown ups too! read more

The overall staff has a vibe like they are incredibly annoyed especially at the front registers. You recieve 2 tokens and a clear bag as you walk in. The first attraction is a crayola station you can use to name and wrap your own crayon, this requires a token. There is also some green walls but no one was certain of the use, not even some workers. They also have a playdough type center when you can buy a pack of playdough for 2 tokens a pack. You can also buy more tokens if needed for $1 this will give you 2 tokens. The coloring page station takes your picture and allows you to pick a background and prints it. There usually is a line for this. There is a station to make a shaped crayon, splatter art, and make a picture with melted crayons. All of this is included with your ticket price, so you dont need tokens for this. There are multiple coloring stations and snack bars. The restrooms are not very clean and didnt seem to be regularly managed. There is a nursing room for mothers and a first aid room. The crayola store has multiple items, alot of items did not have a price and things rang up with the wrong price. So pay careful attention to your purchases check amazon and walmart apps to make sure your not overpaying. There are alot of photo ops to take so make sure there is space on your device to take pictures. read more

Very disappointing. We were there on a Tuesday with 3 1/2 year old. There were several school groups but it was not wall to wall kids. This place is seriously understaffed. Half of the features did not work or were not open. It was difficult to find anyone to give instructions for equipment that did work. I observed one staffer standing along a wall engrossed in his cellphone. The smaller play area had pee on landing just up the stairs before the slide. Our child told us she didn't want to go up because of pee. I checked it myself and it was pee. No one monitors these areas. We paid $20+ for our tickets. The school kids and their families paid $10. The exit is through store so you really cant leave without getting something for child. I had subscribed to newsletter to get $10 off coupon and 10 percent on higher priced item only to find out at register those coupons only apply online and i would have to be season pass holder to get any discount on their seriously overpriced Crayola items. If you do go, try going with a school group for the $10 vs $20+ ticket for the same non working features. Take a lot of antibacterial wipes. This place is a Petri dish. If you have younger kids playing on the smaller slides, check for pee on equipment and landing. Little kids have accidents. This area should be monitored more frequently to clean up and disinfect. It would appear to be a good place for school field trips on discounted tickets. It's way overpriced for general public especially when you are competing for the same items with school kids and worse when half of the features either aren't working or not open. We wont be going back read more
