You order at the cashier and even find a table. We got fried pickles to start, chicken fried steak, and chicken tenders. The fried pickles were fabulous! This place was a pit stop for friends and I on our way up to Oklahoma, and it was the best decision we made. The food was wonderful and enjoyed very much. I'm giving the place 5 stars because it is a very nice, well kept, inviting place to eat. The staff is very friendly and efficient and the prices will not break you. That said, I would not recognize the fish tacos. Unless you like a frozen, Sam's club mystery fish stick, smothered in some kind of mayonnaise based slaw that's mostly mayo, on a tortilla. They weren't horrible, they just had no taste, certainly not taco taste. The fries that came with the tacos were outstanding, just like my mama used to make. My husband and I finally made it here before the 2pm close. He had chicken fried steak (comes with fries). All of it was cold. Fries are soggy and limp, and gravy was watery. I had Frito pie. About 20 Fritos covered in what had to be Hormel can chili. Fried pickles were the highlight. Menu says $2.79 for pickles, receipt says $3.00. A water and a tea were $3.58. Expensive tea! There are too many other cafes with delicious food to eat, we won't be back to eat at this one. Service was friendly. read more

We come here once a year when we pass through Paris. It is very good. The service is great, as the people are so friendly. I usually get the Chicken Fried Steak or a burger, and they are good. Have them add jalapeños to the gravy. But make sure to get the bread pudding before you leave! read more

This is my favorite lunch restaurant in Paris. I have reviewed this place many times and I have never given them a bad review. I love all the employees here as they are all super nice and friendly. The food is always great no matter what you order. The seating area is first come seat yourself. The atmosphere is one of a kind and unique and worth a visit in its own right. It was disappointing. Was hoping to find a good local place instead of going to a chain. I got the fried fish lunch special, it had the thinnest pieces of fish over cooked so it was mostly chewy breading and it was super salty. The salad was just iceberg lettuce with a squirt of dressing. Thought the chicken sandwich tasted ok at first but then realized it had shredded lettuce that was brownish and kinda icky. The lettuce from the "salad" probably should've been used on the sandwich. The curbside pickup was convenient and the girl who brought it out was nice but the food wasn't very good, so we probably wont be going here again. read more

I believe they only open for lunch. Went here with a group of 8 people for lunch. Overall service was fast, friendly, and the food was cheap. Totally recommend the bread pudding and the club sandwich I got. Or get the cheeseburger, grilled chicken sandwich, or taco salad. The desserts are right by the cashier so make sure you check the whole thing because the bread pudding can be hidden at times. The atmosphere is definitely casual but not too loud where you can't have a casual conversation. read more

This place is great. It's a block away from the courthouse so convenient if you happen to find yourself stuck there through lunch time. I had a chicken fried steak sandwich with onion rings and a sweet tea. The sandwich bun was very fresh as were all condiments. Steak batter was very flavorful as was the onion ring batter (different batter though, onion ring batter was the traditional more coarse stuff). Both the steak and the onions were cut surprisingly thick too. A more cooth person would've taken a knife to the meat when it didn't bite off cleanly....I just made a mess on my chin. Atmosphere is that sort of deliberate looking vintage that looks homey but you're not afraid the building's gonna fall down. My tab for lunch was a little less than $8. This sounds a little strange to most probably.....but GREAT iced tea. Not weak like most places. All in all, if I ever find myself in this part I'd the world during lunch again I'll definitely give 'em my business. I've got a lot more menu to try after all. read more

Just had the chicken fried steak and told them it was my first time there as it was. And got a free bread pudding!
