This place is great. It's a block away from the courthouse so convenient if you happen to find yourself stuck there through lunch time. I had a chicken fried steak sandwich with onion rings and a sweet tea. The sandwich bun was very fresh as were all condiments. Steak batter was very flavorful as was the onion ring batter (different batter though, onion ring batter was the traditional more coarse stuff). Both the steak and the onions were cut surprisingly thick too. A more cooth person would've taken a knife to the meat when it didn't bite off cleanly....I just made a mess on my chin. Atmosphere is that sort of deliberate looking vintage that looks homey but you're not afraid the building's gonna fall down. My tab for lunch was a little less than $8. This sounds a little strange to most probably.....but GREAT iced tea. Not weak like most places. All in all, if I ever find myself in this part I'd the world during lunch again I'll definitely give 'em my business. I've got a lot more menu to try after all. read more

I ordered chicken salad and fruit thinking that I was getting a sandwich. But the plate was over half full of delicious, fresh fruit and the scoop of chicken salad was more than it appeared. I was full but not stuffed! I would definitely order this again! read more

The hole in the wall is a perfect name for this restaurant. Just off the beaten path. When you walk in, the decor is just how I imagined. Great small town atmosphere with rustic charm. You order at the cashier and even find a table. We got fried pickles to start, chicken fried steak, and chicken tenders. The fried pickles were fabulous! Super thin sliced and just the right amount of breading. Chicken fried steak was so nice and tender. Fries nice and crispy. The chicken tenders were amazing with not too much breading but lots of chicken. Overall it was delicious and I will definitely comeback next time I am in Paris!! read more

My husband and I with three other couples stop to have lunch here after staying the weekend at Mt.Fork, OK. This place is so tiny & if you blink your eyes you'll be sure to pass it. It had been cold so we figured to try out the beef stew. It was ok. It was more like salty water soup. My husband and a couple of the guys had sandwiches or a burger & they said the same " just another sandwich". Last time we'll visit this place read more

This place was a pit stop for friends and I on our way up to Oklahoma, and it was the best decision we made. The food was wonderful and enjoyed very much. The portions were huge none of us were able to finish our plates, but we left feeling full. The service was phenomenal and the lady that placed our order was sweet. Definitely would recommend and we might just make a special trip up here for this place. read more

I'm giving the place 5 stars because it is a very nice, well kept, inviting place to eat. The staff is very friendly and efficient and the prices will not break you. That said, I would not recognize the fish tacos. Unless you like a frozen, Sam's club mystery fish stick, smothered in some kind of mayonnaise based slaw that's mostly mayo, on a tortilla. They weren't horrible, they just had no taste, certainly not taco taste. The fries that came with the tacos were outstanding, just like my mama used to make. I'm taking back one star for the tacos that weren't. Also, Yelp says they have many vegetarian options. They don't. A couple of salads and a grilled cheese sandwich. read more

Love this restaurant and the staff. Everyone is always so happy and sweet. Can't go wrong with the chicken sandwich, sweet potato fries, taco salad or the burger! All very good and cooked to order. Give this place a try for your next lunch! read more

Crawford's Hole In the Wall - Grilled Chicken sandwich on a jalapeno bun with a side if fruit - American Near Me - Paris, Texas

Great place for lunch. Place. Order and pay at counter then they bring your food to your table.

Wow, what a surprise! I was thinking the Chicken Ranch Pasta would be a hot dish, but it was a cold pasta salad. Other than being a cold salad it was pretty tasty and the bread pudding was amazing, as usual. read more

My husband and I finally made it here before the 2pm close. He had chicken fried steak (comes with fries). All of it was cold. Fries are soggy and limp, and gravy was watery. I had Frito pie. About 20 Fritos covered in what had to be Hormel can chili. Fried pickles were the highlight. Menu says $2.79 for pickles, receipt says $3.00. A water and a tea were $3.58. Expensive tea! There are too many other cafes with delicious food to eat, we won't be back to eat at this one. Service was friendly. read more

We come here once a year when we pass through Paris. It is very good. The service is great, as the people are so friendly. I usually get the Chicken Fried Steak or a burger, and they are good. Have them add jalapeños to the gravy. But make sure to get the bread pudding before you leave! read more

They have a great lunch menu. I go here once a week and love the food and environment. Their dinner on Thursday night is nice as well

This is my favorite lunch restaurant in Paris. I have reviewed this place many times and I have never given them a bad review. I love all the employees here as they are all super nice and friendly. The food is always great no matter what you order. The seating area is first come seat yourself. The atmosphere is one of a kind and unique and worth a visit in its own right. If your a local, you already eat here. If your from out of town- you need to eat here. BTW, the hole in the wall is by the order counter to your right. read more

It was disappointing. Was hoping to find a good local place instead of going to a chain. I got the fried fish lunch special, it had the thinnest pieces of fish over cooked so it was mostly chewy breading and it was super salty. The salad was just iceberg lettuce with a squirt of dressing. Thought the chicken sandwich tasted ok at first but then realized it had shredded lettuce that was brownish and kinda icky. The lettuce from the "salad" probably should've been used on the sandwich. The curbside pickup was convenient and the girl who brought it out was nice but the food wasn't very good, so we probably wont be going here again. read more

Man, do I love this place. Great comfort food and great ambience. Rustic little restaurant on the back streets of Paris. I eat here every time I drive into Paris. Never had a bad meal. I believe they only open for lunch. Went here with a group of 8 people for lunch. Overall service was fast, friendly, and the food was cheap. Totally recommend the bread pudding and the club sandwich I got. Or get the cheeseburger, grilled chicken sandwich, or taco salad. The desserts are right by the cashier so make sure you check the whole thing because the bread pudding can be hidden at times. The atmosphere is definitely casual but not too loud where you can't have a casual conversation. read more

I was visiting town and was suggested this place for its burgers, but the pie is too damn good! Love the whole set up and it's super great!

First, you will need to order bread pudding. Trust me it's worth it. Next, just about everything I have tried here has been absolutely delicious. I visit Paris two to three times a month, and Hole In The Wall is a must. Great service and atmosphere! read more

The name says a lot but not all!! It is small, if you blink you might drive right past it! But don't let that happen!! This place is GOOD! Just had the chicken fried steak and told them it was my first time there as it was. And got a free bread pudding! I used to have a cafe and made my own bread pudding and I am here to tell you it was GOOD! Top 3 in my book. It always amazes me how people say ooohh I don't like bread pudding then they try some as good as this and change there tune!! I am sure I will be back! So far best food in Paris Texas!! read more

3.5 rating thanks dave for posting this place. don't get me wrong, i have eaten at a handful of places in paris (mostly chains, and one other independent joint) and crawford's is by far the best. the menu was not very extensive. burgers, and a couple other sammies, ordered the mushroom burger which was slight above average as far as burgers go, the fries were average to slightly below average - nothing special. all in all, much better than other options in town. it was not mind blowing, but one of those mom and pops that are slightly above average. read more
