He promised a receipt and estimate would be delivered by email later that day. That never happened. After three days of me contacting them, I finally got an email estimate that left out several items that we had discussed. One of those items was a hot water tank flush. They wanted to add $525 to the estimate for this service! When I refused and pointed out that a typical rate is $150 to $250, they told me it required a "special machine". That is a lie. Nevertheless, I scheduled an appointment for the rest of the service. They canceled by text 2.5 hours before. We scheduled for the next morning. They canceled by text 2 hours before. We finally came across an issue that, we believed, was serious enough for a professional. We called Ed Bellm, who have served our area for well over 50 years. Upon our original consultation, things weren't looking good--it seemed our plumbing concern (a corroded copper water stack) was going to cost us a great deal of money. When Chris, the company's owner, came out to give us an estimate for the work, he found that our water stack was not affected, but we simply need to attend to some atypical piping from the home's previous owners. He fixed us up right there and charged us nothing for his visit. The company could have went ahead with their original estimated work, made a hefty profit from us, and moved on--but they chose to be honest and have now earned our trust and business for the rest of the time we'll own this home. We couldn't be happier and highly recommend their business.

They were not polite (besides a younger male who was very friendly). The older man yelled at us for running water during their work (we didn't). They also left a HUGE mound of dirt, about 4 feet tall (which is apparently normal for sewer work, but they could have left us know before leaving). Stormy was apologetic about this on the phone, so we decided to move forward on the inside work. The inside crew was FANTASTIC! Total night and day difference! I understand why they have the friendlier guys do the inside work, lol. They were in-and-out in 3 hours. Overall, while I had a mixed experience, I'd consider using Tope again. They aren't the worst, especially on the customer service side.
