My favorite until this year. Smaller, less quality and freshness. The service is always excellent. Overall, I'm looking for a new favorite. PS The other reviews earlier seemed to confirm my opinion. read more

The crawfish was big and seasoned well. They even have a sauce station with ketchup and mayo to mix! Love crawfish time read more

Fabulous crayfish! Regular is just right for this Texan! Enough spice to light the lips & cuticles, but not overly spicy. My heartburn will thank me later since I didn't get the spicy. Price is very good and loads of folks in the restaurant. Service is very friendly & on top of helping you. I would highly recommend them! read more

Crawfish Time On Ridge - Ambience is friendly and welcoming - Seafood Markets Near Me - Lafayette, Louisiana

Don't let the full parking lot deter you from coming here for the best boiled crawfish in town! We've been here several times and almost didn't get down every time because of ALL THE PEOPLE but we never had to wait for a table. A few things to be aware of when you go-they ask if you want them regular or spicy and when you ask for them spicy they do that thing where they season the outside of the bugs. That used to annoy me until I found out why. When you're boiling that much crawfish everyday they stick with the tried and true recipe that won't scare the tourists lol and when you want it spicier they sprinkle it on the outside. I've had them both ways and they're both phenomenal, but definitely prefer them spicy. Also, they don't include dip with your order. You can buy it from them which is $3 a cup but don't do that! There's a little bar with everything you need to mix your own for free. If you know how to make it and exactly how you like the ratio of mayo to ketchup (don't sleep on the Worcestershire and horseradish either) that option is a no brainer! Their boiled shrimp is great as well and they butterfly them too. Yum!! read more

I just do not enjoy eating boiled crawfish in which the seasoning is added after cooking. Nothing beats expertly seasoned crawfish which permeates the head and tail and not on one's hands. If you enjoy seasoning on the outside of the shell and on your hands, this is the place for you. Overall, my sister paid, so free crawfish are better than no crawfish at all. read more

Great crawfish. Very clean - both the crawfish and the restaurant. There's a diy dip station with lots of options so you can mix up your concoction to your liking. Ask for tips from a waitress if you're not a local. Everything was phenomenal and you will not regret coming here!! read more

Huge crawfish! Price is a little more expensive than places around, but not by much. The seasoning is definitely more on the outside than inside, which I feel like it makes it saltier, since the salt / seasoning is always on your lips / tongue, but flavoring is not that bad. We also tried their shrimp, the shrimp was huge and flavorful. They charge for the dipping sauce, which is good and convenient, but you can also make your own sauce at the "sauce station." Would be worth to stop by to get crawfish if you are in the area. read more

BEST crawfish in Lafayette! All the staff is so friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere is great, I like sitting in the secluded wood area by the hosts. The crawfish are always well sized and you can ask for spicy if you want more flavor (its worth it!) Very delicious! Already have been 3 times since they reopened for crawfish season. read more

Friendly customer service and excellent quality live crawfish!! I had family in town so naturally I wanted to do a crawfish boil so they could have a great Louisiana experience. I went to Crawfish Time on Ridge and picked up a sack of large crawfish. The crawifsh themselves were nice and lively and pretty darn clean. I didn't have to do much work to get them ready for a swim. The lady who took my order and the young man who brought the sack were both very friendly and courteous. read more

I stopped by here for some crawfish and it was absolutely delicious. It was seasoned very well and the crawfish were huge. I asked for extra potatoes and messed up and forgot to get corn. This place is definitely worth your stop. The only thing is that the crawfish are expensive but it was worth it. read more

Now I know a midwest boy who grew up in Michigan ain't got no right judging crawfish in Louisiana. I am going to do my best to give my honest opinion. Damn those little mud bugs were delicious. Everything I ever dreamed of and more. I'd been waiting to get my fill for a while now and I finally visited the mecca of crawdaddies. Let me level with you here, for good measure I did get a taste of home boiled crawfish in the country on Easter Sunday, so I had a great bearing point. As sides I chose sausage and mushrooms. I think I'll forever remember that smokey pork flavor accompanied by all the seasoning from the boil. Regular style crawfish were perfect in my opinion, seasoned well, and had a light dusting after they had taken their bath. Wash them down with a couple cold Corona's and say no more. Do yourself a favor and order some king crab legs for the table, you won't regret it! I was schooled on making my own dipping sauce. Pretty much every step of the way I was doing it wrong in my better half's opinion but it turned out just fine for my liking. I had practice peeling from my first boil and everyone had their two cents about how to best extract that delicious meat from the tail. Before I knew it I was twisting, peeling, dipping, and getting that golden fat from the heads. The service was great. The staff were a younger bunch due to the relatively short time crawfish are available catering to the seasonal worker. Our waitress was prompt and very informative for those who aren't familiar (me) with this type of fare. Great experience, awesome food, loving Louisiana. read more

Crawfish Time On Ridge - 3 pounds, mushrooms, sausage, and potatoes - Seafood Markets Near Me - Lafayette, Louisiana

I thought being in Cajun country we would try out this place. I mean, how bad can a cajun mess up good crawfish? The crawfish were obviously boiled in plain water then seasoning tossed on the OUTSIDE of the crawfish on the shell. It was the worst crawfish I have ever had. Down where we are from, we boil IN the seasoning and let the crawfish soak to get all that seasoning and awesome flavor inside the crawfish. Forget sucking the heads and getting all that juiciness here. Evidently, this is the way many people like their crawfish around here as there was a steady stream of people coming in. It just wasn't our thing. I do have to say they were boiled and peeled perfectly, but just bland as can be. I wish we would have known before spending $66 plus tip. I now know to ask how they are boiled if I go somewhere new. Wait staff were great. Like I said, just not our thing, but evidently in the Lafayette area, it is theirs. read more

This was our second visit here. So far, so good. Prices are still quite high for this time of the crawfish season; but place was packed with happy diners. The "spicy" version is the type with the extra seasoning "sprinkled-on" after cooking. Nice décor, furnishings, wait-staff. Very convenient location, with private paring lot. We'll be back ! read more

Good place to eat some crawfish, shrimp or snow crabs. The place is well lighted and each table has a shell hole trash can in the middle. The seasoning is a medium heat and although the boil has seasoning, they do sprinkle more over the shell. I don't normally like it this way but they were very good and not overly seasoned. There is an assortment of sauces available for your dipping pleasure. There is a wash station and the soap used does a great job removing the seafood smell from your hands. This was an overall great dining experience and I hope to have more before the season ends. read more

This joint was recommended by the front desk at the Hilton garden inn, and I was not disappointed. Quick and friendly service, well spiced but not overbearing heat with the crawfish. Prices were good and the mud bugs big! read more

BEST CRAWFISH IN TOWN! The crawfish here are always seasoned perfectly and super clean! The size of the crawfish can't be beat! I love how the dip is packaged-I am super picky about dip but this one is GREAT! I love the drive thru option as well! read more

Atmosphere is perfect, and service is good. Crawfish have a delicious flavor EXCEPT FOR THE EXCESSIVE SALT. The regular is salty, but the spicy is way too salty. My hands literally swell right after I eat here. If they would hold off on salt, I would give them 4 stars. read more

WORST CRAWFISH EVERWe bought 13 pounds on Good Friday. The crawfish were overly salty, mushy, hard to peel and worst of all...THERE WERE A LOT OF HEADS WITH NO TAILS IN OUR ORDERHow trashy can you get!Don't waste your tome or your money. Horrible. read more

There is a reason this place has won so many awards for the best crawfish in the Times of Acadiana. The crawfish are quite simply amazing!

I tried this spot the night after I had boiled crawfish at another place. Very well seasoned and in my opinion true to the definition of each spice level. However, if you define hot or spicy the way others consider inferno then the hot will not satisfy your heat level. This place will only give one potato with the three pound order ($17) so be prepared to add extra money for corn, sausage, mushrooms and add'l potatoes. The only reason for the 4 out of 5 stars is the limited sides and additional cost for more. Also, compared to the place I went to the night before, these crawfish were a little smaller. read more

The best way to experience fresh crawfish. The spicy seasoning is delicious. Get there early when they first open for the season or expect to wait! read more

I'm a fan this season. If there's anything I've learned living here in Lafayette, is that not all places are consistent when it comes to the quality of Crawfish they get. I've been here twice already and I must say that hasn't disappointed me yet. I only come here for the Crawfish though, so I don't know about the rest of their menu. As far as the extras goes, get the mushrooms, forget about the sausage. It's not worth it. read more

We came here after my very first crawfish boil because i was CRAVING more! It did not disappoint! Oh man, I tanked 3 lbs of those little critters! I like that you can add horseradish and other hot sauces to your mayo-ketchup. *droool* Man, why must I live so far away from crawfish?!? read more

They were pretty good. Nice size and good flavor. The only negative is that I asked for spicy and she said they would sprinkle cayenne on them and when they came out they were super salty. I had to ask for extra boil juice to pour on them to kinda rinse them off snd there was still too much seasoning. I would go back again but I would make sure to say light seasoning. read more

This is my go to place for crawfish, the only place that cooks them as well as a boil at home.... never overcooked always easy to peel

If you like crawfish that is seasoned after it's boiled, this is the place for you. I like my crawfish to be seasoned as it's boiled. This place cakes the seasoning on the crawfish after it's been boiled. Their seasoning tastes great, but it's just caked on top of the most bland, flavorless crawfish you could imagine. Very large crawfish, no dead, nastiness. But you're not going to experience tasty, flavored crawfish here. Completely overrated, and yes, i've tired this place more than once read more

Regular means not in the least bit seasoned. Spicy means barely seasoned. Was super disappointed in my visit there. Spent almost $80 that trip. I wouldn't recommend anyone go there unless you're into plain bland crawfish and paying a lot for them. read more

I was born in Lafayette 54 years ago and this is without a doubt the best crawfish I have ever had. Was there with my family a few weeks ago and we had a large group. I will always go there when I visit. Absolutely outstanding. read more
