While visiting the area we tried this restaurant. The atmosphere and ambiance were great! They had a live band and a really nice decor inside. It almost transported you to Louisiana! The food was okay. We got the appetizer sampler and one of the shrimps on the appetizer menu. The shrimp was delicious and it had a great sauce and tasted great with the slices of bread. The sampler platter was just okay. The chicken wings were kind of fatty and gross. What we were most surprised by is that the menu is posted on here are very out of date and several of the prices were nearly double. I included an updated menu.

Crawdaddy's is old school fine dining in downtown Visalia. They have a full bar downstairs and a large elegant dining room upstairs with another bar. It was pretty empty for an early dinner. We were seated immediately. Service was very attentive. They have a modest wine list but it is good quality. The Caesar salad and crab cakes were both excellent - flavorful and well prepared. I even snagged a bite of the etoufee which was similarly well prepared. I will definitely be back. Great service, reasonable prices and lots of options in an elegant and quiet environment.

Spicy shrimp & scallop pasta :)

We were traveling in CA on a family trip & heard about this restaurant on the radio & decided to book a reservation. Martha helped us while we were there & OMG she is sooooo sweet & amazing! She helped me decide on which entree because I couldn't make up my mind & went with the spicy shrimp & scallop pasta & WOW was it good! She kept everyone in our party full of beverages & asked multiple times if anyone needed anything. She was such a treat to have as our server that day. Definitely ask for her if you can! :)

I came here for drinks and dessert tonight with my husband. We sat in the bar area and there was a live band playing. We had a great time. The band was great, and one of the bartenders even joined in to sing a song. They have big doors lining the bottom floor, and since it was a warm night all of the doors were open so the music poured out onto the streets. The decor is very dated but it adds to the charm. Our server was great and very attentive while dodging dancing adults and kids and fighting to hear over the music. We had the bread pudding bites for dessert. It was a smaller portion than I expected, and since the bites just sat on top of the sauce, they were crispy but also a bit dry. This dessert read as almost more of a funnel cake to me, but it still tasted good. To drink, I had the blood orange margarita and my husband had the Moscow mule. The Moscow mule used fresh ginger, but lots of it, so it was very gingery. The blood orange margarita almost tasted more like a pink lemonade, I couldn't really taste the alcohol and it was a bit overly sweet. We then shared the Bourbon Street Hooker cocktail. This was a very interesting cocktail, it was definitely stronger than the first two, but the flavors didn't really seem to go together, it wasn't very smooth. All of the drinks were decent but I think the proportions were slightly off with all of them. Overall the dessert and drinks were decent, but the vibes will definitely have us coming back!

Zucchini appetizer- it was crunchy not soft. So good.

Omg love this place. Came on a Wednesday. They had Matthew as entertainment. He gives out a paper with tons of songs on it . You choose a song and shout it out so he can sing and play guitar. It's crazy he knows every word without looking at anything. He interacts with the guests . So much fun. The food was delicious too. Pricey but worth it. Great meals and ambiance. 100% recommend this place while the have entertainment. Great job Matthew!!!!!

Downstairs bar.

Fun spot downtown for dinner or just drinks. Downstairs has a live band more than a few nights during the week. More of a party vibe on the lower level. Upstairs is an upscale experience with beautiful drinks and all of our food was very delicious. Our waiter was very professional & approachable.

The music was a little unsettling for some time for the occasion and setting , but then switched to oldies, and that was nice! Haha the service was mediocre (seems like that most places lately) Food, we shared crab legs shrimp mussels sausage, potatoes with the recommended flavor. But the flavor was basic and really nothing special about it. It was definitely missing something. we unfortunately were both sick for the next 2 days (food poisoning **this was the only thing outside the norm that we ate). We enjoyed each others company Wanted to love it, but it's not for us Glad we got to try a new spot though! $$$$ Oh also this is a costly place. But consider its seafood in the valley.

I ordered the braised short ribs, which were phenomenal. tender, richly flavored, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The veggies on the side were spot on, cooked perfectly, not too soft or too firm, just the right balance that let their natural flavors shine through. My guest had the steak, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. What impressed us most was that the waiter even asked us to cut into it right away to ensure it was exactly how we wanted, so we could keep it hot and enjoy it at its best. We also tried their special cocktail, the Blue Fog, a wild creation topped with a bubble filled with smoke. It turned heads all around us; everyone was asking what it was. It didn't just look incredible,it tasted amazing, too. Throughout the meal, our waiter made sure everything was to our liking and even asked for our honest opinions on anything they could improve, which showed they really care about their guests' experiences. This place set the bar high, and I'll be back every time I'm in town. Highly recommended!

What worked: -- servers and staff were all very kind -- there's decent menu variety and something for everyone to enjoy -- the music and vibe inside was a nice mix of busy yet intimate, it's a great place for a date or fancy night out What didn't work: -- I think this is likely due to it being Valentines Day, but the service was pretty spotty. Servers almost gave us someone else's food twice and it took a while for our food to get to our table. -- my dish (shrimp primavera) could have had a little more going for it! The pasta and veggies could have been a little more seasoned (and I would have loved more veggies), and the shrimp was waaaaay too salty, it was difficult to eat it all. It definitely wasn't a bad dish but a few small tweaks could have made it really wonderful Overall, I'd come here again! I think this might have just been an off night and I'd love to return to try some of their other dishes. The environment was a pleasant one to be in and I enjoyed the meal (and, of course, the company).

First one of the fellow restaurants in Visalia that will accommodate 26 people and seated together…read more Two servers for our group, and unlike other Visalia restaurants they didn't charge a group fee or forced 18% tip or other hidden charges for using a credit card. Tables were clean with utensils and extra plates. Our servers were super friendly and made you feel welcome. Drinks were for various for our group but what unique is that I was unsure of tea because they said it was real and often I'm disappointed because it's not. Yet the server said if you don't like it I'll let you switch drinks. After it was served they checked to make sure I was happy. Needless, to say 26 people you just about see the entire menu served. There was one cheese burger which was cooked properly and with hot fries, fish and chips which had large pieces of fried cod and served with claw slaw. Kids at the table got chicken tenders with fries, which were moist and not over cooked or hard to bite into. Parmesan Crusted Chicken served with mash potatoes and a mixed vegetables. Fantastic chicken not over cooked, super flavorful and moist. Just the right amount of sauce and tomatoes. There were a couple of shrimp linguine Alfredo. Just the right amount of sauce and shrimp. There was a Mariners Seafood Boil, which was stream and seasoned perfectly. Considering the amount of seafood it was great. Now the dish I enjoy myself, Endless Shrimp. Our location you picked three styles which were the Alfredo, coconut and Walt's. The price is 29.99 and is that a value? Yes sir or ma, a great value. Placed my and waited for it. Once it was placed on the table, my server asked what would I like again. Even before starting eating I ordered another Walt's and Coconut shrimp. It less than eight minutes to get the order and they wanted to know which I wanted next. The first plate included 12 rather large butter flyer shrimp. First, Walt's was shrimp was lite batter. Coconut batter was lite again with the right of coconut on it, and Alfredo paste was mixed with flavorful sauce and shrimp placed on top and again not over cooked. Three different shrimp total was 12 and two additional orders of 8 makes 20 shrimp total and probably could have finished two more orders. So with that said it was about $1.49 per shrimp. Sauces were standard cocktail and coconut sauce. I will say I wasn't a fan of the coconut sauce. Got the hush puppies as a side which to me seemed lifeless. They were just kinda bland in taste. Again, the endless shrimp special is well worth the price and I can say the Red Lobster service was outstanding. My last refill of tea the server stated I can bring that in a to go cup. I thank them but no. Normally I would describe two different dishes but today was unique that it was a large group. Thank you Red lobster.
