The first time I went into this store was a few years ago and I loved it. The staff was knowledgeable AND they had great flavors. I know the FDA has gotten involved in the sale of vape but that's not an excuse for how this business changed. Now, I don't know when they're open but I haven't seen their door open for months. When I try to call, nobody answers the phone. Their website doesn't always work. When I try ordering online, it takes weeks just to get my shipment out the door. I found another company. Solid vape shop offering some solid deals. I went here because my IPV 3Li was just getting to feel too bulky for my liking. I also have no use for 200W output. So, I decided to stop by here to pick up a Kangertech KBox Nano. Very compact, solid design, uses an external battery that you can charge and vape at the same time. *Only* goes up to 50W, but after 3 years of vaping, I still see no need why anyone would need to go much higher than that. Anyway, John sold the KBox Nano with a 3ml tank for 65 bucks, and threw in a free 30ml bottle of juice. The interior is very classy, with plenty of open space and couches for lounging. They have a great selection of juices and equipment. The customer service was very satisfying. I typically go to Vapor Project up on 620, but this Craving Vapor is much closer to where I live now. I was in town for a monthly get away from Dallas and had run low on my Hometown Hero Angel Tears and this was the closest place that was open. No one was at the desk or counter, so I did have to wait a couple minutes for the employee to come to the front. Not a problem as I understand since I used to work retail. They don't carry my normal juice (the shop is in Austin and HH is produced there.) so I ask if they had something similar to one of the ones I had in my bag. The gentleman who helped me, didn't catch his name, showed me one that they carried and it smelled good, so I bought it. I put it in my mod and Holy Hell, it was really good! I wish I had bought a couple to keep on me when I run low. If I'm ever back in Austin and am in need of juice, I'm definitely coming back. read more

What can I say about this place. I was only in there for 5 minutes and they were completely rude. The guy that was "helping" us was was pretty much useless along with the other employees. I told them what flavor I prefer and they gave me one sample that I kinda liked but while I was tasting it the three employees that were behind the counter were dripping and blowing huge clouds in my direction. They are constantly out of stock of all or most juices and coils; however, they will gladly sell you mod and tank only to later disappoint customers by not stocking replacement coils or varieties of juices in different nicotine levels. This was confirmed when I visited the Burnet Road store only to be told by the employee (who was more interested in building his coil) that is "the craving Vapor way to always be out of inventory." If it wasn't for the employees, this shop would be great. Good juice selection is the only reason I even consider visiting anymore, and that is to just get what I wanted and leave. Walking in, you feel as immediately unwanted. All the employees will turn to stare at you, judging you as you browse. It's like you've interrupted some meeting that you're unwelcome at. It's the most uncomfortable I've ever felt in a vape shop, and considering that there are plenty in Austin (In fact, there's one a few blocks down the road called Flavor Vapor which is fantastic) I don't understand their attitudes. They attempted to charge me $10 more than their advertised price, and had I not asked why it was more expensive than their website, they would have gotten away with it. With that said Craving Vapor is the first vape shop I have been to which allows customers to sample all (I mean ALL) e-juice. I was trying to find out more about vaping as I am sort of a newbie (but have now been off analog ciggs for over two weeks!) Came to this place today at the behest of my girlfriend, but I was impressed with the level of seriousness. I've visited most of the vapor stores in North Austin that don't just sell eCigs and fluids as a one-off, and even though I haven't tried Craving's flavors, the lady loves their Lemon Cloud Rat and their attitude towards their products is as impressive as anywhere I've been. The advice I get from other retailers is pretty mild. Even my flavor source of choice, Flavor Vapor, tends to offer pretty lackluster advice - uncertain about some recommendations, let the customer make up their own mind. This place has serious chemistry on their brain, and mixed up a special blend of the lady gal's signature scent to match the system she's smoking it in rather than the hardcore vaper's usual drip tip. If I ever wanna make huge clouds out of a drip unit, I'll be coming back to see what they have to tell me. read more

When I walked in and confessed my newbie level, Cory gave me an excellent explanation of vapor in a nutshell, and answered all my questions with great detail and support. I was expecting that this level of service would mean a highly marked up product, but that was not the case. He gave his recommendation for the low, mid, and high level product, and all were well priced. With this place being large, clean, comfortable, and in a high price real estate area; I was simply blown away. Craving Vapor is one of the best shops in Austin. Why? Let me tell you... 1) Staff. Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Yes, they have neck tattoos. Yes, they may look like a bunch of badasses, but face it, they are a bunch of badasses. That doesn't stop any one of them from being extremely helpful and kind. 2) Hardware. They carry a nice range of devices for beginners and cloud chasers alike. And NO COUNTERFEIT devices. The term 'clone' gets tossed around in vaping circles, but face it, the term would be counterfeit, and Craving don't play that game. This doesn't stop them from carrying a wide range of hardware to fit most budgets. 3)... and on that note... Pricing. They are more than reasonable. The prices online are the same as the prices in the store, and they are competitive as can be. 4) Juice selection. While they may not carry 100 vendors, they are very careful about what juice they provide. If they won't vape it, they won't sell it. Also, Axiom, the house juice is OUTSTANDING, try it. Other than that, it's a Suicide Bunny/King's Crown, Five Pawns and Vapor Technologies kind of store. They only have one shelf, and it's the one on top. 5) Atmosphere. While I have spent plenty of Saturday afternoons, and killed time waiting for traffic to die down in the shop, just hanging out... they have recently expanded, and the plans are pretty epic. I will save money on my own electric bills because I will be at Craving, using their A/C instead of home running mine. Oh, and they have a deluxe massage chair in the lounge that goes nicely with clouds. 6) Events. I have yet to have a bad time at any event either organized or hosted by the staff at Craving Vapor. If you follow their Facebook page, you will be updated, and you would be silly not to attend their events. They are like family gatherings without the tension, and with cloud competitions. All in all, the staff at Craving feel like extended family. I started as a customer, but now consider the owner, management and staff friends. I live in South Central Austin, and take the drive up north to shop there, or just to hang out. Even if I have something 'better' to do... It's like going to a buddy's house where everyone meets. Their Axiom selection of juices formulated specifically for dripping are great. Honey F*ck, Cloud Rat, Cloud Bear Rat etc all provide great flavor and awesome clouds. Their Chai flavor is great as well, even though it's not a drip-specific fluid. The other reviewer who said the in-house liquid was questionable must have received a bad batch or something, I've never had an issue and purchased multiple times. I've found the prices to be comparable to other B&Ms in the area (read: slightly more expensive than online, but no shippnig costs) and their selection of mods and batteries is pretty robust (30A, hi cap, sony). The staff has always been very helpful and they allowed me to sample quite a few of the Five Pawns flavors (very expensive liquid) which I ended up buying. I haven't even seen Five Pawns elsewhere, so that's a plus as well. 4 stars out of 5 because the prices are not quite as competitive as can be found online. read more
