Sounded nice. The decor and lighting were nice here. The staff who I spoke to upon entering seemed unenthused. There were no pleasantries. Nothing about the customer service upon entering felt warm and welcoming. Overall, very nice place, clean and spacious with plenty of seats. I ordered the carrots cake which was very good. I also had prosecco. I decided to eat half and take the remainder home. When I approached the counter for my to-go box I feel there was a smile and a more pleasant demeanor from the other staff. I first learned about Cravin' Confections at a Yelp Elite Event. It is located in the new Wheatfield Shopping Center. It is one of the shops currently open in the shopping center. This shopping center has its own traffic light too so it is easy to get in and out of it. The staff is very friendly here. The space is open with many tables to sit and enjoy what you buy. They offer desserts; cocktails; savory food and even lunches to go although those must be pre-ordered. The focus is on high quality ingredients and from local vendors. After sampling six desserts I knew I needed to buy some to take home with me. I also knew the temperatures would be dropping and that I love hot cocoa when it is chilly out so was excited to see the hot cocoa bombs. Then there were macarons too. This bakery is pretty new the owners are really friendly and very talented all of the baled goods are made on the premise and the items rotate weekly. I really liked their peppermint macron it had just the right amount of Peppermint. Mt husband Lived the Eclair- he said the cream inside was delicious. Cravin' Confections is located across the street from Heritage High school, in a new shopping center, not the one with Harris Teeter in it. The space is great, plenty of tables and a couple of booth like seating areas. Walking in, it smells like deliciousness and the staff greets you with a hello and a smile. Everyone is super friendly and kind. What I love about Cravin' Confections is that they not only have the yummiest desserts, but they also serve cocktails!!! What a great concept for this area. I absolutely love dessert, so I had a couple of them. The chocolate peppermint bark cake was absolutely the best slice of cake I've had ever!! I'll be dreaming about my next slice. The carrot cake was heavenly as well, no exaggeration. The eggnog crème brûlée was awesome, especially for the season. In addition to their daily menu, they have seasonal items in the bakery, as well as seasonal drinks. The Cranberry Kringle was my favorite. I love that they are open late!! The staff was friendly and the woman working the front did a great job of explaining flavors/textures of the cakes they had up front. Opted for the smores cake because of her description. Presentation was great. The marshmallow and chocolate layer were my favorite. 4 people could have all been satisfied from this slice of cake, it was massive. We stayed until closing, didn't feel rushed out or anything. The live music was fantastic and added a nice touch to the ambiance. Will definitely come back to try something else as well. read more

Check their hours before driving over since they are not open everyday, However, they do work long hours, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. My sweet tooth carried me in the door then over to the dessert counter. The hot cocoa bomb immediately caught my eye followed by the macaron tree. Nothing is labeled, however, the friendly employees answered all of my questions. The available items do vary by day and change with the season so that may be why they are not labeled. I decided to purchase the irresistible hot cocoa bomb, glittery macaron tree, and a flaky apple turnover. I was surprised at the price as it was cheaper than I anticipated. So far, I have enjoyed each of the creations and recommend this dessert bar to others! read more

We tried Cravin' Confections tonight for the first time, and we enjoyed it. We shared the Lemon Cake with Blueberry Jam.. it was tasty and surprisingly lite. We ventured out to this adorable spot for a girls night with our little girls.. perfect for a sweet night of fun. The desserts all sounded amazing and when they came out it felt like they were frozen and defrosting more than being fresh.. that could just be my experience. It took a very long time to get four pieces of cake which I found a bit odd. The staff could have been a bit more interactive and attentive but overall they were pleasant. The look of the cafe was really nice I ordered a cheesecake with chocolate drizzle. It ended turning out to be soaked in chocolate on the bottom the cheesecake itself did not taste good and had a weird film over it just like how the cheese brie has. 10 dollars wasted but what made it worse was seeing the way they reheat they're food. From where I was standing I can see into the kitchen and I saw one of the workers put a pie in the microwave and that same pie was then served to a customer. While the concept of this business is really awesome, the lack of passion in the food and drink was apparent. We went when it first opened and we were not impressed but chalked it up to "just opening mishaps". We visited again a few weeks ago and it was like it got so much worse. The desserts were stale, lacking in flavor and the overall presentation was like no one cared. The drinks are overpriced for what they offer. The waitstaff were very sweet, but inattentive. For a place that only does drinks and desserts, one would think that every drink and dessert would be 5-star. It felt as if whoever is baking has lost their love for what they do. You can easily go on any social media app to get creative and outstanding cocktail recipes that would command the $14/$15 price that is being charged. Everything just seems like it's an afterthought. I always like to give new places at least 2 chances before writing them off. Sadly, it was equally disappointing the 2nd time around. read more

Reverse customer service. My wife was telling me about this new establishment while eating dinner on the town the same night (Cravin Confections). I know she has a sweet tooth so we decided to try it out. Once entering the establishment we notice the two employees did not greet us, although we were next in line. One employee was tending to a guess at the register and the other acted like we weren't even there. We stood at the front counter for 5-7 mins before my wife told the young lady that it was our first time trying this establishment. The employee then told us to have a seat anywhere with the menu and we will be right with you. As me and my wife viewed the menu, we had decided what we wanted to order. After waiting another 15 minutes without any service, we decided to leave. On the way out the employees said "thanks" as "thanks for leaving". This review is based on customer service only. read more
