All of these sounded super promising however we felt a bit disappointed because it didn't taste like actual banh mi - more like a fusion sandwich. They didn't use the traditional banh mi baguette but rather we got a cut of a longer baugette. He did say how the banh mi before was really good here so unsure why they changed their products. :( I did appreciate how they warmed up the meat. The ube coconut smoothie's first sip was also really good but then we were left with a large chunk of shaved ice. This drink was definitely 80% ice and 20% liquid. Service was nice though and the cafe is super cute.

You can customize the specifics of what goes inside your box btw. At the end, we were very full after the meal. I definitely think the box is a great thing to order and share between two people. Our box also came with a cute little message inside! Fun fact: this cafe is used a lot for local kpop meet ups and events. When we visited, the place was being set up for an ATEEZ event for the next day. For any anime/kpop fans, there are also sticker and photo card machines here!

Looks like a tart, but no pastry involved, it was more of a 'wet cake' with the texture of a Chinese rice cake (sweet) that is made out of rice flour/yeast. Almond 'Tart' had a fridgey taste and was quite sweet. I don't think I'd personally order it again. Latté was good, especially at $2.60! Not opposed to going back since it's located in a convenient location for me.

The interior was beautiful and the chairs made it feel like you were transported to Europe. Two drinks and pastries ended up being $25 so a little on the pricier side but normal for Toronto. The only thing I didn't love was the fact that my latte was not hot at all and I was disappointed there wasn't latte art on either drinks. Love the interior, much larger than I expected - with a lot of spacing available to either chit-chat and work silently. There's a big table that can accommodate a larger group or shared space. Staff were very friendly, approachable and orders were done well on time, even when they're busy. Food Have a variety of teas, coffees/lattes, pastries and a few sandwiches. Drinks are about - $3 to $6 - very standard pricing Sandwiches are about - $6 to $15 - depending on what you're getting Tried one of their blueberry lemon cake, which was very flavourful, strong in both blueberry and lemon, but not too overly buttery. Their ham & cheese croissant is pretty good as well - standard on what you expect. Same with the london fog - pairs really well together with everything. This is a pretty new spot and I like how they already have a variety of things available to serve the community - definitely a spot to check out if you're in the neighbourhood.

TLDR: Absolutely loved everything from the friendly owner and barista to the amazing food and drink. Will definitely be coming back to study and sip on a good drink. Note: because they just opened a few weeks ago, they're having a promotion every Sunday from 10am - 12pm until the new year (Dec 31) where you can get a free coffee as a little "hello" to the neighbourhood. I found parking right in front of the cafe. It's diagonal, pull-in street parking. I walked in. It's a push to get through the door. I was immediately greeted by a friendly, accommodating staff member. I wanted a hot chocolate and asked about the four different ounce sizes. He showed me all the paper white cups. I went with the second-largest size. I also asked that I get soy or some non-dairy beverage added to it. Done! I have a weakness for baked goods. This cafe has vegan options, including pumpkin vegan muffins during my visit. Everything looked so goods, from brownies, to cookies. I saw the large cookie jars staring at me. My gosh, each cookie is larger than the palm of my hand and I have big hands! I wanted a s'mores one so badly. You basically take the tongs, grab your cookie, and place it in a paper bag. I got my hot chocolate and cookie that came to $9. It's not cheap, but it's fair trade goods. I expect to pay slightly more. There is a draft in the cafe, so the merchant bill that I had ripped off the machine before getting my bill blew off the counter and onto the floor. I let the man know, which he appreciated. You can pay by cash, and debit and credit cards. I also provided a tip. As usual, it's up to you. It was a bit of a challenge with full hands to get out of the cafe when you need to pull on the door handle to get out. Luckily, I put my hot chocolate on the bar-like table, pulled the door open, used my foot to keep it open, grabbed my drink, and moved quickly through the door. Problem solved! The hot chocolate is dark chocolate. I happen to love it. If you are more of a milk hot chocolate lover, you might find the hot chocolate to be missing sugar and perhaps taste bitter. I loved it. There was probably more soy in my drink than there should have been, but it was perfect for my less sugary needs. The s'mores cookie is extremely yummy! OMG, if I lived in the neighbourhood, I would buy the jar of cookies every day. It was buttery, chocolatey, and marshmallowy (I know, not a word, but whatever) delicious. It paired nicely with my hot chocolate, as it had slightly more sugar. I would come back just for this cookie alone. There were plenty of seats to sit down. If you sit by the bar-like area with stools, you get a nice view of the area. People-watching is casual in this cafe. It has a nice vibe. You can get a number of fair-trade coffee varieties. I am personally not a coffee connoisseur, but I appreciated both the selection and the cause. I like this cafe. I'd come back to give the muffins and more drink items a taste the next time I'm here.
