I liked the atrium space. Casual but elevated. The server, Maya, did a great job!! They had a few espressos martinis which was a plus. My roll had more mayo-type stuff on it than I care and I would agree that it could have had more fish in it. But, I like "sushi" as opposed to "rolls", so maybe that was my fault. Overall, I would definitely come back!

We only went for drinks at the bar. Unfortunately we didn't see the bartendress for about 5 minutes. This was disappointing but was moreso in that there was a good deal of soy/teriyaki sauce on the bar and both my wife and I got our sleeves in it. Would have been better if the bar had been clean. So after cleaning the bar ourselves we waited, and waited. The musician who was playing in the dining room was also waiting for a refill on some water. Btw, if you want a very nice relaxing but inspiring version of cover music, Tony Williams was doing a better than good job. My wife and I don't agree on music but we agree that he was good background and mood music. Back to waiting, the very nice bartendress finally got our order and...we waited. It took 10 minutes to get our drinks. Were they worth the wait? Not for $14 for a simple martini. The ambience in the bar is nothing special and is completely different than the main dining room which is like an atrium, open and spacious, which does have one weird attribute - There is an opaque band going around the floor to ceiling windows in the room, right at the level of the seated diners so...you can't look out to enjoy the view. Very strange. We might try dinner there, but I think it would be a crapshoot. Results may vary.

Hamachi nigiri & Edamame

The ambiance is 10 stars due to the amazing rooftop views of the city!! Wow!! a chef from another restaurant told me to come here my first Friday night in Rochester and I wish I would've listened. Tonight is my last night in Rochester and I'm excited to try some sushi. The cucumber martini is well made and cute. The edamame is served with sake, soy & sriracha but not too spicy. I got some hamachi nigiri. delicious!! They have a 3 course menu for $39 for July. I'll be back! This would be an amazing space for group dinners!

Very overpriced for the food. The open room is very loud and echoes making it difficult to hear anyone. The chairs are like patio furniture and not comfortable. My sushi roll was more rice than fish and just fell apart. I think they have better sushi at Hy-Vee. The fries were good. The flatbread pizza was good. I think they need to focus their menu a little more and do better.

Rigatoni with spicy Italians sausage sauce

We were at Crave as part of a large group (24). This did not diminish the service one iota. The observers assigned to us with polite, professional, accurate and swift. They worked hard to stay on top of everything at the long table. We started out with several of the meatball appetizers as well as sushi. I can't vouch for the sushi since it didn't make it to my end of the table, but the meatballs and sauce were delicious. The garlic bread that came with it was a nice accompaniment to the very flavorful red sauce that the trio of meatballs was served in. For dinner I had the rigatoni with a spicy Italian sausage sauce. The rigatoni was Al dente and the meat sauce was very good. The spicy sausage was tasty without the spice being overwhelming. The only negative - and it wasn't really terrible - was that the atmosphere, while pleasant, is open and was a bit crowded. However it was a Thursday evening with a trade show in town. I can imagine other nights are perfectly fine. I will definitely come back and bring my wife for a date night. Though at a premium price point it's not a place I would consider for a regular night out.

We made reservations for a party of 8 on a Saturday night. Upon arrival, we were told our reservation was canceled. Supposedly, we had called to cancel although we never did. The host was accommodating and still got us a table after speaking to a manager. The atmosphere is very nice and elegant. It was really convenient to have an attached parking structure as well. Our server was great! She was super friendly to our children and served them complimentary fruits as we waited for our entrees to arrive. We all got a little bit of everything. Food was great! However the prime was a bit salty. I got the Traditional Poke with salmon. Rice and meat portion was perfect! Only thing was there was way too much spinach. It turned out to be more if a salad than poke. I had to pick out a lot of the toppings as i ate it. It was a great one time experience. Nothing extraordinary and nothing bad.

T-Rex sundae

Stopped in for dessert and a glass of wine before I wrapped up my day. Had the T-Rex chocolate chip chip cookie sundae. It was delicious and impossibly large. I love how big the bar is.

Truffle flavored french fries, tofu Poké bowl.

I was in Rochester for a business and ordered the tofu Poké bowl. It was super spicy with a lot of jalapeño, but full of delicious flavor. Also got (absolutely perfectly!) fresh fried crunchy truffle flavored french fries. Yum! Full bar, wine, etc - so the bar filled up with a lot of conference attendees, but still a pleasant space and great food.

Super expensive place. I only went because a friend invited me. We went during brunch so they had more options. I got an avocado bacon, egg & cheese sandwich. It was a little bit more cheese than what I expected. We had chicken wings as the appetizer and they were pretty good, but like I said it was expensive. $16 for 3 wings. We had the chocolate cake for desert and it was half a cake and it was good. We had plenty of leftovers. Our waiter was nice and attentive to our needs.

Manhattan

Crave is a pretty popular place. Drinks and and meals looked promising, however everything was hit and miss for our visit. The cocktails: The smoky Manhattan was definitely smoky but not alcohol coward. The "Crave Old Fashioned" was so bad our friend sitting at another table sent there's back. Ours was the same very watered down and you would think with two different whiskeys in the glass you would be able to taste at least one of them. If Crave is calling this their signature old fashioned they should get it right. Actually the only reason a I came was for their Lobster Mac......which I was told they ran out of, very sad.

Beautiful setting, can o my imagine dining while it's snowing.

This place was great! We had all sushi: amazon princess, hidden dragon, eel roll, Alaskan roll, and…read morespicy tuna roll. My favorites were the spicy tuna and Amazon princess. They were perfect flavor and texture. Least favorite was hidden dragon because it was too much deep fried (for me). Sauces on top were great though. Service was great! We went on New Year's Eve - it was super busy but the service was great. Staff was hustling! If you are craving sushi and in Rochester, this is it!

Good food, attentive staff. Favorite tempura roll in town,…read moreshrimp always fried fresh just before rolling Just beware on your bill. So prices for food are different than what is listed on the menu IF you pay with a credit card and there is no warning. Listed price for a roll may say $9, but on the bill it was listed as $9.36. When I asked, I was told $9.36 is the price if you pay with a credit card. So the menu price is for cash transactions, but it's not specified anywhere on the menu. The staff working said she would ask the owner and we were eventually charged the menu price listed since this was not disclosed when we ordered or before getting our bill, but just beware. Also, just know that asking for sriracha is not like asking for soy sauce or salt. A tablespoon of Sriracha is considered a $2 side dish. I didn't realize it was a menu item when I asked for it. So just keep an eye out and ask what's included in your meal and what's considered a separate menu item.
