This is the second time I've picked up food from this place. The first time both guys behind the counter didn't seem friendly, and the poke bowls weren't as good as we had hoped for. This time, the girl serving the bowls was friendly and helpful with her suggestions. The guy at the register wasn't the friendliest. I ordered the Super Bowl, and this time it was better than I remember. Definitely very filling. I wish they open up their seating area for dining in. I am so excited to have a poke spot in Rochester! It's healthy yet filling, and I think this will do really well with all the folks coming to town for Mayo. It's a pretty bare bones interior: it's currently takeout only and is just a food prep station. Like most poke places, they have several signature bowls r you can make your own. I got the Yum bowl - cooked with eel and shrimp and other deliciousness. Highly recommend! The bowl was filled well and she even gave me yum yum sauce as well at my request. Next to a Jimmy Johns and a burger place, so if you don't prefer Poke, you can still dine here with a group! I always opt for the make your own bowl, and my mom does the Hawaii Bowl. Their menu creations are delicious, fruit and veggies are fresh, fish is flavorful, rice well cooked and seasoned, and a wide array of mild, umami, savory, and spicy sauces to chose from. I am always satisfied with my food here, BUT often times the avocado is under ripe/hard (I know we are in Minnesota) and they charge you $1.50 and only give you one slice. The best Poke place in Rochester! Online ordering and pickup was super smooth. If you're gluten-free, be careful with their sauces as they're not marked online. They're very helpful in person with questions about gluten and I got a quick response from them via their website's contact form confirming whether certain items contain gluten: For Mix-in sauce only the Poke Sauce is gluten-free. For Topping sauce Yum Yum Sauce and Spicy Mayo are gluten-free. The seaweed salad is also gluten-free. Also, bonus points for having a vegetarian option (tofu). read more
