I don't write reviews very often, but Andy and Gary at Zoll's have simply blown me away with their…read moreexpertise and amazing old-time customer service. I have an old Gravely riding mower that is 'of a certain age' where it needs some tinkering each season. Andy has been extremely communicative when doing the seasonal tune-up to help me direct my money towards repairs that are the highest yield and the most pressing so that I have a largely incident-free mowing season. But when the old machine does act up, Zoll's support goes way beyond the confines of the shop, too. Just today, Andy talked me through a belt problem by phone so that I didn't even need to take my machine to them. Last year, he also talked me through fuse replacement and other issues that I could do by myself (and I am no mechanic!!). I cannot recommend Zoll's enough. It's a small family place that does excellent work, so you may need to plan ahead and set your expectations that repair turnaround might be a few weeks, but the result and the support is absolutely worth it.

I am writing to formally document my dissatisfaction with the service (or lack thereof) provided…read morefor my Yard Machine lawnmower and rototiller over the past 2.5 weeks. I brought these machines in with a clear diagnosis: a sheared woodruff key on the mower affecting the timing. Despite this, I was told after 18 days of silence that parts were "unavailable." Specifically, I was told a blade and carburetor for a Yard Machine could not be sourced. As these are some of the most common OEM parts in the industry, this claim is factually incorrect and suggests a failure to even attempt the repair. Furthermore, I was told that I had been contacted previously, which is false. When I asked for clarification on these points, the staff was dismissive and rude. Most concerning is the safety oversight: upon getting the mower back, the spark plug fell out of the cylinder head while I was mowing. It was clearly removed for inspection and never reinstalled or tightened. Returning equipment in an unsafe, vibrating condition is a massive liability. I am not seeking a refund as no money was exchanged, but I wanted to ensure this experience was documented in your records. I will be sharing these facts with the local community to ensure others are aware of these safety and communication lapses.

He spent the time to go over all the details of operation on our property. We couldn't have been happier. We were given poor service while shopping at a competitor and I'm glad we decided on Kubota. Showed me a lot of the ins and outs in order to make sure I don't snap belts and just good solid advice. You never would've gotten that kind of professional courtesy from the big box stores. Plus machine had a great warranty and was solid customer service nearby. Just really nice salt of the earth people. I'm positive mowing these fields is going to be very peaceful experience. If they could find something it would likely be $80 to $100 for the part and would have to order it. Having done business with Aaron (Grants Pass Power Equipment Repair) in the past I gave his shop a try on an off chance he might have something or an idea how to fix it. I should have gone to Aaron first stop!!! He looked a couple part numbers up and said hold on a second. Shortly after he returned with a new exhaust that was almost an identical match. As he thought about what he should charge he sold it to me for $20!! As I tried to explain I had no problem paying more because I knew what it had to be worth, he said no $20 was fine. I stopped trying to argue the amount and paid. Thanking him very much for always coming through when I needed a repair or like this a hard to find part and an AWESOME and beyond a great price!!!!! I mean, who doesn't want a machine that lets you dig, lift, and crush stuff like you're starring in your own construction reality show? It's basically the Swiss Army knife of heavy equipment, and now I'm wondering how I ever survived without it. The staff? Total pros. They didn't try to upsell me on some unnecessary bells and whistles I'd never use (I'm looking at you, cup holders for "hydration"). They helped me pick out the perfect model, and I was out of there faster than you can say, "Let's move some dirt!" Since I brought it home, the skid steer's been pulling its weight--literally. Need a tree stump removed? Boom, gone. A pile of gravel moved? Consider it handled. Feeling stressed? Hop in, spin around a few times, and suddenly life's not so bad. Who needs therapy when you've got a skid steer? Long story short, if you need equipment that makes you feel like a construction superhero, Paper Machinery is the place to go. Seriously, don't sleep on this. Go get your own skid steer--you'll thank me later.
