I brought a small chest freezer in that had been tripping my gfi receptical Keith was helping Me, wrote up the order I paid the check it out fee of $45. We unloaded it at about noon on Friday 06/16 /2022 Kieth told me that they wouldn't be able to get to it for 3 weeks, I called about 3 hours later after talking with another repair guy that said " it probably isn't worth repairing". I called Kieth and told him not to bother with the repair and that I would be back to get it and my deposit. On Tuesday 06/21/2022 they called to tell me that it wasn't worth fixing and that they would be keeping my deposit. I think that is a cheapass way to do business. Recently relocated to Grants Pass area. I really thought that doing business with a local company would be a good thing. So Sorry I purchased anything from these folks. At least in the SF Bay Area you do not expect good customer service. Purchased a dishwasher for (total price installed $864.00). So, 63 days after the dishwasher was installed, it began leaking. Now, the fact that it began to leak was NOT THE FAULT of Appliance and Mower Center or Whirlpool. Issue here is Service after the sale and the cavalier attitude of the company. All I want now is a hose for my washer so I can fix it myself - but have to leave a message. Their service scheduler Amber has a pleasant voice, and their Service Technician Gary is kindly. Regardless, with a brand-new installation, I had to wait for 10 plus days for an appointment. A BRAND-NEW MACHINE! All I want is a hose - the dishwasher was installed March 14, 2022! In addition, I visited the store on May 20, 2022, to confirm that their practice was to put purchasers of NEW APPLIANCES "in line" exactly as if someone was calling for a routine service call. The "Counter Person" confirmed this was the case. Never again!! No more Appliance and Mower Center and no More Whirlpool Appliances. At least at Home Depot I know I will be treated like a citizen of a Third World Country! read more

We had purchased a refrigerator from Appliance and Mower Center and then last fall a Cub Cadet lawn tractor and had a very good in-store experience both times. We then mowed the lawn one time and the second time all of the fuel leaked out of the lawn tractor due to a fuel line leak. Devon came and picked up the tractor fixed it and returned it but the battery had been accidentally drained when it was in the shop. So they charged it up and brought it back. But when my husband asked him how much gas was in it he answered, "Not Much", and the gas tank had only had enough to start it up and go a few rows. It was completely empty. Because we had lost most of a tank of gas due to the fuel leak, we thought it would at least have had enough for us to mow the lawn once. I called to ask about this and they said they could fill the tank when we came to service it in the future but we felt it was a lack of customer service to not have some gas in the tractor when it was returned since we had lost our gas due to a defect and we felt that would have been good customer service. After paying over 2100.00 for the lawn tractor, after waiting to mow the lawn for weeks, my husband is having to take our truck, to town and get gas before finally getting to mow the lawn a second time. read more

Ordered a carburetor for my mower. Discovered it came without the needed gaskets. When I called the Appliance Center, I got excuses and not good ones either. I was never told gaskets were not included with the part I ordered (they usually do). The person who placed the order would have known gaskets weren't included. Then I was told there was no way for them to know what size gasket was needed. (Look at the part). These "reasons" were supposedly coming from their mechanic. Making a mistake is one thing, lying about it means I will never do business with them again. read more

Very good experience, and I'm not one who has much tolerance for wasted time. Yes, there was a line ( it is that time of year), and yes, everyone was masked up (and I'm respectful of following the mandates and rules imposed upon this business). Needed a part for my 10 year old Craftsman riding mower...bam! "Here ya go!". Got the part, but I had with me other parts that I had taken off just to get to the part I needed. "How do I get this back on?" This was a tension spring that had to be twisted around here to there and I was trying to find how to accomplish the task efficiently. Brian (the sales person) went in back and brought up a mechanic (wish I knew his name, to give him props) to explain the process. Me: "How the hell am I gonna do that?" Mechanic: "It's gonna be a bit hard, but that's how you'll know if you're doing it right". That right there was some heavy advice! After pondering this for a moment, I replied "Well, thanks...seems then that I've been doing things right all my life :)! I found the staff to be patient, knowledgeable, friendly, humorous and efficient. Thank you guys! BTW, this is my first ever Yelp review and I don't give 5*'s lightly! read more

I took my nearly new chain saw in to this place. I explained a had recently had it serviced, but now it had stopped working. They told me it would cost $20 up front just to look at it and find the problem. That afternoon they called and said they had found the problem. According to them I needed a new carburetor! It would cost an additional $125. I told them to NOT fix it and I would pick it up. I found it hard to believe that a chain saw that was barely used needed a new carburetor. A few days later I took it to the usual shop I use (they are very busy and haven't been taking new work, that is why I tried this place!). They said since they had worked on it before they would look at it. You can imagine my shock when R & M Small Engine service said it was only a small adjustment! NO CHARGE!! I will never trust Appliance & Mower Center again! read more

We have had a service technician out 4 times to repair a refrigerator that is under manufacturers warranty and it is still not working properly. The manufacturer claims they will replace the appliance once the technician signs off, how many tries should we give him to figure it out? read more

My husband and I took our Cub Cadet mower in to have the main drive belt replaced after 280 hours of use. The service I received was impeccable The actual mechanic, Ed, had it repaired in about a day. I would highly recommend them for maintenance or repairs I'm sure wait time would vary due to work load, but I was highly satisfied. Thank you Appliance and mower. I purchased A new refrigerator on august 23 2021 and it quit working and lost a bunch of food that I put in the refrigerator I called them the next day and had to leave a message but they never returned my call. I finally got them to answer the phone on Monday so they connected me to their manager Anna G and i understand she is also the owner. she said there would be a technician on Wednesday September 1st 2021 There Technician did not do anything except look at it and knew immediately what was wrong. Sounds a little fishy to me like they knew it was faulty before i bought it, The so called technician said he had to order parts and would only be a couple days. I wanted to return this refrigerator but The manager/owner said there would be a 25% restocking fee which if you know A business gets merchandise for 50% of the suggested retail. It has now been 13 days since I purchased this refrigerator and could be another week before they can repair it. I would say to anybody wanting to buy any appliance to go to Home Depot they have a very nice return policy and they are cheaper with very good customer service. We had to pick up a part for a commercial refrigerator on a Saturday (SO HAPPY they were open and had the part!) Our car died in the parking lot after picking up said part (it's been a great week) and two employees came out without promoting and did their best to fix the problem. While we were still unable to start our car, their kindness was followed by suggestions and encouragement, and no concern over the car being temporarily stuck in their lot. Appliance and Motor Center will be our first stop for applicable purchases in the future-after we get the car started that is. read more

My experience with Appliance and Mower was great from the "get-go". Eli waited on me at the store, provided helpful information and set up a quick delivery date for a new dishwasher. Harry did the delivery and installation -- great guy, with a very upbeat attitude. The work was completed in a timely and efficient manner. I highly recommend this store and applaud the staff for their good service. BTW, prices were better here than at Sears or Home Depot -- and certainly the service was better! Buy local! read more

I highly recommend this place. Brian, the sales manager, is very friendly and knowledgeable. He did not pressure us at all. They gave us an exceptional deal on a refrigerator and even gave us free delivery. They also took away our old fridge for free. They beat Sears and every other store in town hands down for quality, selection and price. They were able to deliver our fridge the very next day. I wish I had known about them sooner because in the past 2 years we've had to replace our washer and dryer and oven. I will definitely be shopping here for all my future appliances. read more

I have been a long term customer of this company and just made my last purchase from them. Instead of a little customer service they are just full excuses. My $2000 gas range was delivered yesterday. They no longer do the gas conversion or connections so I had to hire a plumber. One of the gas orifices was wrong from the factory. Appliance and Mower does not carry any replacements and told me to contact the factory or try to find one locally and they would pay for it. Excuse me....I am a homeowner and customer and they are an appliance and parts company. If parts are available someplace locally, they might know better than me!!!! I also checked pricing on the new range and would have saved money buying in Medford. It's really sad to see one our long time good local companies start growing too fast and lose site of customer service. I can't recommend them. read more
