Had these guys come out to repair my LG fridge (which come to find out is one of the worst brands that out there, not to include tough to diagnose) and they knocked it put in about an hour. Found the problem in about 10 min, ran back to they're warehouse to grab the part, and were back in about 10-15. Plugged it in and it emidiatly started blowing cold in the fridge and freezing the freezer. I spoke to their repair shops (not going to name names) and they all told me "absolutely not will I work on an LG". Personal, corjul, and super nice guys. Great experience with Aj appliance. My 3 year old an I needed a dryer fast! We down to ajs and picked one out, I believe it was the owner who played chase with my son around the appliances. They made sure i had the correct plug in, if not they'd switch it out to fit. They called an asked if they could come 30 minutes earlier than planned delivery time.. umm yes please! Also cleaned out my ventilation from inside the house to out (apparently no one's ever cleaned it, assuming due to the high level on lint that they pulled out) they also fixed my fan in my laundry room just because while they were installing my dryer. They made sure it worked before they left. Very nice men. Amazing customer service. I was probably in there way because I like to know what's going on, I kept asking question an they didn't mind. We went to AJ's to purchase a dishwasher and a refrigerator on February 21st. We told them (the owner) we live in a rural area and they assured us numerous times they delivered to our area. We set up a trade-in deal with 6 current appliances that we had at our house including 3 fridges, a washer, a dryer, & the dishwasher. We put a deposit down on Sunday, paid for it in full on Monday. We were told they would would shoot for a Thursday (2/25) delivery date and if it wasn't Thursday would a weekend delivery be ok, we said yes. When we purchased these appliances they came with a 90 day full service and part warranty and a 6 month parts warranty. By next Monday (2/29) we hadn't heard from them and called for an update. We were told the dishwasher would need a part, but that the fridge was ready to go. They said they were shooting for another Thursday (3/3) delivery. We went to the store on Friday (3/4) and the tech had just started working on our dishwasher (the 2nd delivery date). 12 days after we purchased our dishwasher is when they started working on it. When we showed up to the store on Friday (3/4) our fridge was still sitting in the show room. They had all along told us that the fridge that we paid for was ready to go but they were hesitant to deliver it separately because now "we don't do a lot of business in your area." They set up a fridge delivery date for the next Tuesday (3/8). Apparently they don't deliver on weekends even though they asked us if a weekend delivery would be ok. We called the next Monday (3/7) and we were told there were so many problems with the dishwasher that they couldn't fix it, and wouldn't be delivered with the fridge. It was trash, they sold us trash. Then they said they would try to find us another dishwasher that was equal value to what we were expecting. The dishwasher we chose was a 2014 Kenmore Elite. They replaced it with a 2012 KitchenAid. Does that seem equal to you? They assured us this was the best replacement option. The called at noon and told us they were on their way but showed up 2 hours later. It takes us 45 minutes to get to AJ's from our house. They installed the fridge on Tuesday (3/8) and they hauled away the washer, dryer, and a fridge. We didn't hear from them after they delivered our fridge. On Sunday (3/13) we went back to the store for another update on the dishwasher. They had the dishwasher sitting there ready to go but had put somebody else's invoice on our dishwasher. We set up a delivery for the next Tuesday (3/15). On Tuesday (3/15) we ran a load of dishes and the top rack broke on the first load and didn't get the dishes clean. We patched together the top rack and ran the dishes 3 times and it was still unable to get the dishes clean. So much so, ketchup was still on a plate after being ran three times. No way should that even be possible. We're not talking about dried on ketchup, this was able to wiped away with a finger. We called AJ's on Tuesday (3/15) and left 4 different voicemails on 4 different employees phones. Rod, Tod, Allen, and the main number informing them that the dishwasher was broken and they needed to send a repairman. They called back on Thursday (3/17) and told us they would try to find the rack part. After telling them the rack was broken and that we needed a repair man they told us they would find the rack assembly and that we could install it ourself, which was not part of their warranty or our agreement. We went back to the store on Sunday (3/20) to find out where the parts were and if a service man was going to come out. They hadn't even started looking for the parts and we finally demanded a refund. They said a refund would be given and to give them a call the next day Monday (3/21) for them to come pick up the dishwasher and drop off the refund check. This is when they told us they would not be giving us any money back on our 6 appliances that we were told were trade-ins. "We don't need your appliances we have a thousand of them" that is a direct quote from the owner, Allen. We reminded him that he told us that we could use all 6 of those appliances as a trade-in when we purchased the fridge and dishwasher. He offered $20 each after that and we settled on $30. After 3 attempts to get them to come pick up the dishwasher it's still sitting in our house. We went back to the store on Thursday (4/7) to pick up our refund and set up a pickup date. They cut us a check for the refund and $200 saying they would pay me $20 to disassemble and return the dishwasher myself. This company has been unprofessional, unorganized, and provided terrible service since we purchased the appliances. I would not recommend or refer anyone to this company. read more

YeHa! A month ago, I lost a stove in a rental, I drive by Aj's on my way to the gym alot so I stopped in. They had a great selection for very reasonable prices so I picked one up and put it in, very happy. Three weeks later my washer dies on me, well I know where to go and they did not disappoint. I have a truck but they offered to deliver and set up at no extra price. So glad I did, had to pull the dryer out and take the door off. They not only jumped in and did the work but found a problem with my dryer an fixed it on the spot (no charge.) I have 4 rentals and I'll be using AJ's for all my appliance needs. The owner was one of the guys installing my washer, very easy going likeable guy. read more

This place is pretty creepy... Neutral review because I didn't end up buying anything, but the vibe here was not the best. The technician who helped us certainly meant well, but basically talked us out of buying products their by giving us too much information on the inner workings of their business. Talked badly about another employees quality of work. In this instance; rather than this tactic making your work look more enticing, it devalues the work of the business as a whole and absolutely put me off a purchase. It made it seem as though anything this employee had touched might break immediately and who knows which ones he didn't for sure? Advice for the business: I don't need to see the cow butchered, I just want to buy the steak... If you get my drift. read more

I've always heard AJ's was a good place to deal with for your appliance needs, I have never dealt with them before this week, (8/14/18) which I believe to be out of the ordinary situation regarding their 90 day warranty. I don't have a problem at all with not transferring the warranties ... under normal circumstances which I believe mine wasn't. On June 21 a family friend of ours purchased a washer/dry set, refrigerator and stove from AJ's and sad to say she passed away on July 9. I acquired the washer and dry set from the gals mother, got it hooked up at the end of July and shortly after that the washer machine started acting not right. So on Aug 14, I stopped in to inquire about AJ looking into the problem and I was informed later that day that the 90 warranty was void ... if our friend hadn't passed away I'm sure she would be having warranty work done on the washer now. I'd never purchased anything from a used appliance store but I needed a washer and dryer set asap and was already dealing with an expensive move. I had my skepticism when I stepped in the door, but the staff was very helpful and my purchase was delivered and installed in no time (no extra fee). Allen knows his appliances like the back of his hands which is not the case when you go to big box stores. Surprisingly, this washer and dryer work better than the ones I purchased new a few years ago! In the past, when I've bought from big box stores which shall not be named, the installation has gone badly, but things could not have gone smoother this time. Just moved to Medford and was in need of a washer and dryer. Stopped by AJs and immediately found what I was looking for. Mike and Dennis helped me out and I feel gave me a perfect deal. They were delivered the next day as promised and called when they were on the way. Installation went went well, they even cleaned out the dryer vent which turned was in desperate need of cleaning. I had a good experience with the purchase of my refrigerator. First off I had a small area to put a refrigerator in and needed to drive all the way home to measure again. Rather then have me drive all the way back they did take the payment over the phone for one I had looked at. They delivery was included in the cost. They delivered it a few days later on time, picked up my old one and changed the door on the refrigerator for me. The price was right. The only issue I had was I told them I would not purchase it without the vegetable bin and they promised to find another one to fit the refrigerator for me. They did attempt to so I will give them credit for that, but it has been several months now and I have heard nothing back from them and I still do not have a vegetable bin in the refrigerator I said I would not purchase without one. I would have given them a five star review if they had followed through with the vegetable bin. They were great to work with. To bad though as I am needing a washing machine and will go elsewhere. read more

If I could do a negative star, I would. When we went in, told them that they need 5 feet of hose. They said ok. When they brought the washer and dryer in, they only had 2 feet of hose. And they also tore up a brand new floor and put big holes in it. On the hose, they said that part is not included with the installation of the appliances . Really. What did it invlude? Was in need of a washing machine desperately. Showed up and found the one I wanted and they put it on hold for me. I wasn't able to come back when I said I would but returned a day later. Unfortunately since I hadn't shown up, they had just sold it to someone else. They could see The disappointment in my body language so what did they do? They sold me a better product at an even lesser price than the one I was going to purchase. They came over and installed the same day and away I was off washing to my hearts content. After several loads of large and heavy laundry, the machine was having a hard time spinning due to balancing issues. I called them up and they had one of the owners come over and trouble shoot the problem. This is a newer unit so there is not a lot of experience with it. He researched it and found that the common problem was due to some springs so he ordered them and they were here two days later. He promptly came over after hours and installed them. All he wanted to do was to make sure that he had a satisfied customer because that was what was most important to him and his business. Beware of this shabby place. Unfortunately they were who our home warranty told us they would be repairing our washer and dryer. They came out to our home and said that they would like to take both the washer and dryer to their shop so they could check them out. We allowed them to do this and to make a long story short we got our dryer back with a beat up old drum and who knows what other parts they changed out. They never got approval from the warranty company for repairs they said they did, but in reality they did not do at all. I got my washer and dryer back in far worse condition then it was before. If you drive by thier location it is full of beat up old alliances left out in the elements. You can't even get in the front door for all the crap that is in there. Beware when the owner Alan tells you that he is the most honest person and he does the right thing. I think he is confused as to what the right thing is! Never use this company, ever!
