I would recommend Erica's, or Cranston's to anyone. Their pepperoni pizza comes with the pepperoni under the cheese, very delicious. On a busy night it is common to expect a wait though, so we usually sit at the bar for better service. There is usually only 2-3 workers in the front but they work hard. Loved the food; Italian at its best for a small, Midwest town. Wait staff were outstanding and were handling a busy night in a full house. Cranston's makes no apology for what it is: pizza and beer, cash or check only. It's the kind of local haunt where you can be sure the TV is tuned to the OSU game, and pretty much everyone will be watching. If I could give it 3.5 stars I would but I'll round up here. Cranston's gets points for an interesting beer selection, with German and Scottish beers on tap and available in liters, if that's your thing. Smaller sizes available too. They also have wine, a bar and bottled beer. The pizza is fine, nothing crazy. Personally it was a little underdone for my taste; not raw or anything, but could have used a couple more minutes in the oven to crisp up. But, the secret spice saves it from being too bland. Definitely add a shake to your slice! And I know this is Doylestown, but it's still kind of surprising for a business not to take credit cards these days, what with Square and all the other card reader things out there. But hey, you guys do you. Judging by the number of patrons on the night we went, that doesn't seem to be putting people off. read more

The pizza was great! Ordered a large with two toppings cost and two soft drinks bill was $23.55. The service was excellent as well. We where there for dinner. They are open Wednesday- Saturday 4-9. Went here on a Thursday evening, they are only open 4 days a week, cash or local checks only. They have two menu items Pizza & Beer! What more do you need? Good selection of European drafts on tap, they sell a liter sized mug, along with pints. They have a very good Scottish stout, smooth finish not too bitter. Pizza is decent, good value for the price, usual topping's, red sauce, no anchovies available. Place is clean, service is good. They have a bar, high top bar tables, regular tables and long picnic style seating, decor is beer & liquor mirrors and lighted signage. No frills, just a friendly, easy going place to drink cold beer & eat hot pizza. They also do take out. read more

It's all about the "secret" spices, that come in a jar you'd shake Parmesan cheese out of. The previous owner, Erika (also the previous name of the restaurant: Erika's pizza) would count the shakers of this special spice mix at the end of the night and supposedly fire someone if any went missing. That's a rumor I heard, who knows if it's true, but the point is, put some of that yummy secret spice contraption on your pizza! Lol. The pizza itself is a soft, doughy, standard pizza. I love that they have fresh veggies you can add, also. It's a great pizza, especially for around Doylestown area. This has always been our favorite restaurant for pizza so we drive down from Cuyahoga Falls once a week for dinner. During our last trip the owner walked by our table at 8:40 PM and said "drink up folks, we close at 9!" What? We had JUST ordered a second drink... needless to say we asked for our check and got out of there without finishing our drinks. I guess a patron can "drink at the bar" until 1:00 AM but cannot sit at a table after 9:00 PM? The pizza is excellent but the restaurant is only open Wednesday through Saturday for dinner. This ensures that there is a big crowd and a long wait on weekends. If you are interested in eating and relaxing afterwards you should plan to be there by 6:00. Sadly we haven't been back yet... we often aren't able to get down there until around 8:00 PM. read more

Excellent pizza. It's a thin crust style. They only make pizza. They also have a huge beer selection. I don't drink beer so I always get it to go. You have to use the special seasoning. It's the best local pizza shop imo. Also very clean, hardwood floor, white cloth tablecloths. read more

A friend of mine took me here for pizza after a Cavs game last fall. It was unbelievable and I swear I have not had another brand of pizza since! You actually crave the goodness and must go back. Erika herself is worth the trip. The pizza has it's own homemade seasoning that you sprinkle on top and then Erika runs away with the shaker before a chemist can figure out the ingredients. The pizza is fab,beer is cold and served in frosted mugs and you really need to check it out for yourself because tasting will make a believer out of you! I always take one for the road! read more

This used to be our absolute favorite pizza joint. The last two times we have been there (in the last month or so), the pizzas are completely different (except the special spices). Crust was over-done, toppings were minimal or missing. I'm guessing we are not the only ones, because both times there was a fraction of the customers that are normally there. We were going to have a few drinks anyway but the rude bartender acted like he didn't want us there so we left. I have never been treated like that in my life in a restaurant. Have been going to Erica's for 11 years, it's not at all the same as before she sold it. The pizza's O.K. not great like it was. The big draw before was Erika herself plus the pizza was great, now it's just another place to eat. Last time we were there the owner asked us to leave, do to it being so busy. not with any tact what so ever either. We didn't even pay our bill yet! My wife ordered a pizza to go and asked for a little extra sauce on the side. When we received it, the toppings were meager and they charged us $2.00 for about two tablespoons of sauce!
