This TJ Maxx is officially my favorite in the DC metro area - I've been here a few times already,…read moreand I've never left empty-handed! It's located in the Ritchie Station Marketplace and is a newer store. The place is definitely bright, clean, and super organized, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The clothing is comparable to other TJ Maxx locations, and there really isn't much of a variety in terms of brands and unique finds - I did find a Missoni sweater and a pair of Kate Spade flats, but it's pretty slim pickings! Their beauty section, however, is pretty awesome! While they didn't have any of my favorite shampoo on sale, I did find some great Shiseido products (cleansers and moisturizers) that were about 70% off - I was shocked, as these items are still being carried and being sold at Nordstrom's and other department stores! They also have a large extensive selection of Korean facial products (masks, deep pore cleansers, etc.) that are highly-rated and priced well. I loved that the place isn't as crowded and that there are much parking spaces available in the shared plaza lot. Whenever I'm in the Ritchie Plaza area I stop in at TJ's too see what deals I can snag. The men's section usually doesn't disappoint; I can find some good shirts or athletic wear for the low-low. I also really enjoy the home good section; during this time of year there were plenty of fall and Halloween items to grab. The store is clean, the line at the front moves quickly, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Poor customer service! I was not greeted by anyone upon entering the store, and the woman behind…read morethe counter appeared bothered when I requested help with a shoe. Afterwards, she opened the box for me to see the shoe, however when I picked one up, she placed the box with the other shoe in it on the floor behind the counter. What kind of service is this?! Did she expect me to run out? Had it not been my husband's birthday, I would've left without purchasing anything at all. However I did buy the shoes, along with a sweatshirt, only to get home and realize she had left a censor on my husband's gift. When I returned the next day to have the censor removed, I expressed my discontent to the manager. His response was "sorry you feel that way, but it's our policy to only hand customers one shoe and to place the other one behind the counter". SMH. They will never get another dollar of my money.

Walmarts are not in the area and I'm not trying to travel another 15-20 minutes to get there. Nothing much to say just has to grab a few items and really noticed that the food isles be a little bare. Maybe it was became I came later afternoon times. But the selection should be better than what I was seeing. I was able to find all I needed and unfortunately too much per usual. Service was good was able to get in and out no issue. I just have to remember to carry in the stores with my reusable bags. But other than that you can pay for their brown paper bags that could be reused again later. Will continue to come to Target when I need to and not going to worry about what others are doing. They not paying my bills!

I usually do online orders for pickup at this Target because of the convenience, but this time I…read morecouldn't risk the possible two-hour wait and decided to go inside the store instead. Unfortunately, not a single regular checkout lane was open--only self-checkout was available, and those machines only accepted debit or credit cards, no cash. Of course, I only had cash, so I was forced to check out at customer service. While it did take a little while, the wait wasn't extremely long. Still, the experience was inconvenient enough that going forward I'll be sticking strictly to online orders only, which is always a wonderful experience.
