Shawna, when I say we needed you, I mean I seriously needed you. With everything going on with our sweet, happy girl, a physical reminder was the last heavy thing I needed on my weary, tired heart. Not only was her professional care so stellar and thorough and obviously helpful for our baby, but also Shawna helped us understand the process, as we submitted to it. It was Shawna's personal care and congenitally, gentleness and kindness that was everything I needed as a mom in what I felt was another discouraging moment. Being welcomed by a great staff and Shawna encouraging us at our appointments made our entire season of hurtles so much brighter and she created a space where I could laugh and breathe. Helping babies with the same challenge everyday is what they do, but Shawna really helped heal my heart and reshape my girl's head. Haha. My baby certainly enjoyed our appointments too, as I believe she could feel I wasn't so stressed or discouraged. Thank you so so much again. read more

Definitely recommend this place! Our daughter went in when she was 6 months and has finally graduated! Her head shape is so much better, I recommend going in sooner than later! Appointments were super easy to schedule, communication was wonderful between us and the workers as well as David H! PS* I often spotted the workers sanitizing the waiting stations after each us which was a major plus! :) read more

Cranial Technologies - Left is before helmet vs after! This is only 4.5 months so the final result was even better! :) - Pediatricians Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

We've had an excellent experience with Cranial Technologies from start to finish. I must say, the first review had me very concerned about the treatment and service but our experience was the exact opposite. We were well informed about our daughter's progress throughout the whole treatment. They always listened carefully and showed true interest in making this whole journey as easy as possible for our baby. Scheduling appointments was always very easy and everything was done in a timely manner. Now that the treatment has concluded, we couldn't be happier with the results! Definitely recommended and I recommend you take your baby as early as possible to speed up treatment. Very thankful we decided to move forward with treatment and we are very pleased with everything. read more

Was recommended by my son's pediatrician for a concern with flat head. The scheduling people were friendly. We ran late to our appointment so they had let us know we could do images and would have to reschedule the consultation. The front desk lady was nice and she made sure we could do both imaging and the consultation that day. We did the scan, they put a mesh sock over baby's head and it doesn't cover their face and the picture is 360 digital cameras. The specialist reassured us that our babies head was perfectly normal and did not recommend a helmet. I appreciate this and was afraid they'd just try to sell everyone a $2-3k helmet. If you're concerned about the shape of your baby's head, I would recommend taking them in for the free consultation. read more

We came to Cranial Technologies for a free evaluation when my baby was about three months old. She had a very noticeable flat spot on her head. We had a traveling clinician for the evaluation. She was nice and professional. I was told my daughter had moderate to severe plagiocephaly. In some ways, it's a no pressure sale--very whatever you want to do. Of course, I was also told my child's ears and eyes would be asymmetrical if I didn't get her a band. I was also told that because she was so young, we'd see great results quickly and that most babies her age don't need a second band. I asked about repositioning, but apparently the clinician was running late and didn't have time to go over it. We were then contacted by the insurance department, who helped us coordinate benefits. There was no coverage on our current plan but we'd be given a contracted price of $2500. We were also offered interest free financing for five months. While I had read that article about how moderate plagiocephaly is not correctable with bands, my husband and I decided to move ahead. We went back for our fitting. In reading the information I was provided I was very concerned that skin irritation/infection was a chief problem with the bands. Both my kids have very sensitive skin, but I was assured by the person who would be our regular clinician that she'd only seen one baby who couldn't wear a band. We went back to pick our band up and were given instructions on introducing the band, weekly appointments, and what to watch for with redness. Long story short, my baby had a ton of trouble with redness. We were back in the office at least twice a week for the first three weeks. During that time, my baby was in her band about 12 hours a day instead of 23. Still, our clinician assured me there were noticeable improvements. Finally, in week 3 our clinician put a tiny bit of moleskin on the band where it was rubbing and no more redness. I was so frustrated she didn't do it sooner. My baby only had 8 weeks before she outgrew the band--so that's 3 weeks we really lost. In week 5 we saw a different clinician who rather bluntly told me, my baby would need a second band. My husband and I talked about it. Our baby hated the band. She cried and grabbed at it every time we took it on or off. She never slept well in it--she'd be up every 3 hours. She couldn't wear it one night because of redness and slept through the night. I started thinking about how I get a headache if over ear headphones and wondering what we were doing to her. When we saw our normal clinician again we talked about it. She suggested I wait until she was out of the band for a few weeks, come back, do another free assessment to see if she'd round out naturally. We did. She had. We saw another clinician in that visit who said we should get credit for the poor results of the first band and recommended we do a second one. Our regular clinician never followed up. I took it as a sign we shouldn't do the second band. Ultimately we decided against the second band. I don't think my baby's flat spot will round out entirely. I'm very disappointed with the results we got. I get annoyed every month I see the $500 charge on my credit card. But mostly I wonder if my baby was uncomfortable and missed out on good snuggles for no reason--I wonder if things would have ended the same with no band. There's research to suggest they would have. read more

CRANIAL technology may or may not be legitimate and here is why . Our own pediatrician tried to tell us it probably wasn't necessary in our case, and that Cranial trch will tell us we need helmets for our twin no matter what. As all parents know, you never want to risk your child's health, so you'll do anything for them. I believe the technology may be of some help in the cases . Cranial tech said our daughters condition was moderate/severe, and we were encouraged to pursue a very expensive hemets and all the reasons why we should. They told us uneven face, pressure of the skull and misaligned jaw ect. Insurance generally won't cover this, unless the measurements of the head fall out of range. so it was $2100 out of pocket for each baby. We have twins. This is a red flag warning that this is not a truly professional group, and they left me with no choice but to conclude that the technology may or may not be legitimate. My insurance company told me my twins head measurements that cranial tech gave them are within range and will not be covered. Yet Cranial tech said my kids were mod to severe and needed helmets. One twin will need 2 as a matter of fact. My twins head measurements fall within range of normal and do no meet the requirements for my insurance to pay for helmets. So I do not believe this company is 100% truthful and for money. Always get a second opinion. read more

I can't speak highly enough of Cranial Technologies. My daughter had a severe flat spot on her head starting around 3-4months old, and we chose to go to Cranial Tech even though they weren't in network. I'm glad we did--we had a great experience. The front desk staff is all extremely friendly and helpful, and our OT, Meghan, was so kind and professional. We actually looked forward to our weekly check-ups! My daughter was ultimately in her doc band for about 10 weeks, starting at about 5 months of age, and now her head is nearly perfect! The change in such a short period of time is really remarkable. Another thing I really appreciated about this location was that they were never pushy or "sales-y"... I did not feel pressured at any point to either get the helmet to begin with, or to get a second helmet when she outgrew the first. Overall, I highly recommend! read more

Cranial technologies has been a wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The technicians are very thorough and put me at ease throughout the whole process. My son wore his helmet for 10 weeks and the progress exceeded my expectations. I will definitely recommend this location, but I'm sure all the others are just as great! read more

Veru unprofessional and cannot get the picture right for my son to get his helmet. Already had two bands made and they wanted to go for a third and he only wore the first for a few hours. Decided to withdraw care and go with Hanger clinic. Would not recommend this place. Absolute waste of time. One of the clinicians bruised my sons arms from holding him so tight when taking the pictures, he is only 5 months old. Completely unacceptable read more

Honestly reading prev reviews I was sketchy about this place but I am happy I did accept "treatment" from them for my son. They were kind, super kid friendly they even have toys for kids and above all really professional. They gave me a date for when the process would be done and so it was. My sons head shape changed a lot. The first 3w was hard and I hated it just as he did but we got over the hard part and successfully see improvements. Do as said and the child most likely will not need a second band aka helmet. THANK YOU! read more

My son had to come here for a few months and it was never anything less then great! Everyone is so friendly and they never kept us waiting. So glad I got to go through this journey with them and the help/service they provided to one of the most important people in my life. Would definitely recommend read more

Let me start this off by saying I have had to deal with a lot of professionals in regards to my children. Cranial technologies( Mesa location specifically) have been a dream to work with, their customer service has been wonderful from front desk to the "back of the house". Every baby is different so keep that in mind but I can't believe the progress I have seen in my babies head in just a couple weeks. I highly recommend this clinic and their amazing staff and the band has proven for my family to be a success already and we're not even done with treatment yet! Thank you guys! read more

I'm so blessed for Cranial Technologies. I truly can't say enough how amazing the staff, and everyone is, let along the amazing results my son received. Every person in the office is so kind, friendly, and informative. If you need anything they are more than willing to help you over the phone, and always made time to see us the same day or first thing the next morning if it was late. read more
