He insulated and sheet-rocked our garage and repaired a bathroom ceiling. Some of these jobs had unexpected challenges which he handled expertly and ethically. His work was always neat and organized. We have a split level and they remodeled our kitchen, took down walls, put in beams, worked with our kitchen designer and gave us the kitchen of our dreams. They were so clean throughout the process and communicative. We never had to ask what was happening, Ray and his team kept us in the loop on everything daily. It was important to Ray that we were happy with the work as well and he made sure to check in with us throughout the project. They were done quicker than we anticipated and we can't wait to have Ray and his team back to re-do our bathroom. I have been recommending Ray and his team to all my friends and colleagues and would continue to recommend him to anyone that needs a great GC. In the pictures you'll see before with the older kitchen and all the walls, I included pictures when Rays team was working, to the final product, no walls and an open concept kitchen. We were so lucky to find Ray, his price was fair, he was transparent about everything, and he really did walk us through the entire process.

But after meeting the team at A to Z Renovations, I finally felt confident I was in good hands. They were on point, punctual, and extremely detail-oriented throughout the entire project. Every step was handled with care and clear communication. The quality of their work exceeded my expectations, and I felt completely comfortable from start to finish. But the job they did deserves recognition. Among the many people worth a shout-out: designer Chaya Uzan whose enthusiasm and ideas gave us a sense that our project was quite special; and Robbie Goldberg, our day-to-day contact and project manager, who brought a craftsman's eye to all aspects of the job. When problems were encountered, problems were fixed. An example: once we installed a new oven in the kitchen we realized that we would have to do without a favorite built-in spice cabinet. Robbie came up with ingenious fix requiring some custom carpentry so that the spice rack did not disappear but became an integral of the whole. Anthony, our renovation expert, was our first contact with A to Z. He encouraged us not to give up on what we wanted the project to look like even though other renovators had told us it was impossible to do. He also offered to answer any questions we might have along the way. Then there's Shevy, the permit and insurance coordinator. She dealt with the necessary paperwork and kept the inspectors at bay so we did not have to deal with those headaches. And last but not least, Mario, the site manager, who was there every day, hands-on, always professional and pleasant. On that note, the entire team seemed to like one another and treated us and each other with a refreshing degree of decency and consideration. To summarize: The team at ATOZ was thoroughly professional and kept us informed with clear, consistent communication every step of the way. Importantly, the team worked efficiently to stay on schedule and were fair when an unexpected issues arose, providing clear solutions. The final result is exceptional, and the quality of work exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to recommend ATOZ to anyone.

Do not hire this contractor…read more Our experience was extremely stressful and resulted in significant problems throughout the project. The work was never completed to industry standards, and we were left with numerous serious issues, including defective workmanship and damage to our home -- including a basement flooding incident that occurred during the course of the work. Despite having a signed contract with clear expectations, those terms were not followed, and attempts to resolve issues or have the work properly completed were unsuccessful. We paid for a quartz countertop listed in the contract $1500 and he put in Formica. We are still taking the steps to get our money back but I want to warn everyone We also had serious concerns regarding licensing and insurance. Documentation that was provided raised questions about whether proper credentials and coverage were in place, which we found out he lied and is not licensed with Suffolk county and he forged his photocopied picture of it. This is all very alarming as homeowners trusting someone to work in our home we would have never hired him. There were ongoing concerns about professionalism and respect for our property. While I was nine months pregnant and we had our own dogs, the contractor brought his personal dogs INTO OUR HOME, allowed them to urinate throughout the backyard, and repeatedly left the front door open, which resulted in our dogs getting out and roaming the street while we were at work -- an unsafe and upsetting situation. There were also instances of unprofessional conduct on site, including making messes in bathroom areas and yelling at employees, creating an uncomfortable environment. We have had to spend significant time and resources addressing unfinished work and correcting problems that should never have occurred. Home renovations are a major investment, and homeowners deserve transparency, accountability, and professionalism. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend that others look elsewhere.
