I would not recommend King Quality. I got all new windows and screens from them and unfortunately the quality of their product is not well made. We used King Quality off of a referral from a friend, and I think it worked out. We needed a whole new roof during the time when plywood was super expensive. We needed a complete replacement instead of a new layer of shingles, as the original cedar was still at the base of this 90-year-old house. We got a couple of estimates but everybody seemed shady until King Quality came. They brought samples of their materials and offered a 50 year guarantee on the roof that will even transfer to the next owner of the house. It was VERY expensive, but they did the job very quickly and efficiently, even asked and apologized on our behalf to our neighbors for the unavoidable situation of using their driveway when they did that side of the house. Three years down and the roof still looks brand new. read more

I initially wrote a review on Google back in September '25 about the salesman who was the reason why we chose KQ for our windows, but after the entire process has ended I need to change my review from 5 stars to 2 stars, and 2 stars in generous.(Disclosure: Before coming to write my review, I reached out to the company to try to resolve my issues internally, as I know the weight reviews hold. I was told that someone would get in touch with me the next day,, that was TWO WEEKS AGO.) Buying all new windows in my condo was mine and my husbands first big purchase in our new house. We were diligent in researching but nervous in making a decision at first since this was such a big decision and a lot of money we were going to be spending. It was my mother-in-law who referred king quality to us, as she had friends who worked there for a long time, and my husband and I were already familiar with the company having seen their TV commercials from an early age. A few weeks after we had signed the contract, a person from the company was supposed to come to measure our windows because we needed custom sized windows. They could not come on a Saturday and my husband and I work during the week, so I had to takeoff from work to be home for the measurer. After three hours passed our appointment time and waiting for him to show up, I called the company who were confused why he didn't show up, and promised to send him out the following day, which was a Saturday. The measurer told us the next day that no one at the company told him he had an appointment to come and measure. We had to wait about three months from when we signed to when we could have the windows installed because they were custom windows, which we know is not the company's fault but just the time it takes for custom windows to come in. HOWEVER, they told us it would only take one day, maybe two days max to get all 11 custom windows and two sliding doors installed. We were heavily skeptical about this timeline, but we trusted the company because we don't install windows so we figured they knew best. It took 5 days to install all the windows and doors, Monday-Friday during the first week of December, and because my husband and I can only take off of work so many days, we had to ask family and friends to takeoff to come stay in our house while the installation process was happening. Okay, things happen right? It took longer than expected but it was finally done right? Wrong. They left our house that Friday with one window that was broken, one sliding door that was broken, wouldn't open, was discolored and chipped, and the other sliding door which didn't lock. And because all the doors and windows in our house are custom sized, and they had to order new ones AND because it was Christmas time, the new doors and window did not come in until the end of January. Which again, we understand things like this happen. When the doors and window finally came in we tried to get a Saturday appointment in February but there were none available. So we had to takeoff of work AGAIN to have the new window and doors put in. We were all set to go for the second week in February UNTIL we had that heavy snow storm the first week.... which resulted in a huge leak under one of the brand new sliding doors because they never properly sealed the door externally the first time. So now we were left with a broken window, a broken door AND a leaking door. They did come the following day after I reached out, and that was supposed to be the last day they were there but they couldn't even fix everything because they didn't come with the proper tools. So they had to come back a SEVENTH and final time. After the entire experience, we just feel beaten down. Our first real project in our first home and we were lied to, dragged around, deceived, ignored, you name it. And while most will just say that's the name of the game, it's a SHAME that it even has to be that way. And now we are stuck with a large bill for windows that were half assed and an experience that left a bad taste in our mouths. So no, I don't recommend them. read more

They installed our roof in the pouring down rain. Asked multiple times for them to stop. Paid for the 50 year warranty. Our roof has flaws now that require repairs especially with the winter months approaching. I reached out on Facebook and within seconds my question was deleted and I was blocked. My wife reached out to Jeff Brett and received a response to now find out that he too has blocked her. This company will not admit to their mistakes nor take the appropriate action to correct them. Call and either they don't answer or we get the run around. On top of all of this they damaged hundreds if not a few thousand worth of my brand new flashing and vinyl siding. This company is not worth their word nor contracts considering they are actively breaking the agreement in which we signed for. GO ANYWHERE ELSE! read more

Pay attention to reviews they can save you a lot of trouble later!!!!! The salesman was no help after the transaction...he already got paid. We contracted with this company to replace my elderly aunts roof. They were told that they would need a permit ( $135) from the town of Freeport before working and they did not get one. They started the job anyway. The job was stopped when the towns rep came out to inform them they had not gotten a permit. they claimed they had gotten one an hour later and finished the job. A month we found out that they never did (per the towns permit office) and now my aunt faces a lien from the city. The permit now costs about $1100 with the penalty attached. I have called, left messages, sent text and emailed multiple times and no response. I had to have my credit card company retract a portion of the payment to get their attention. This should never be this hard. If you have another option for your roof...use it. This should not be a choice for anyone who expects a company to respond to an inquiry in less than a months time and not lie to you...Still no response today. read more

Wanted to know if there was shingles coming off or an animal that got in or...what she needed to do. Service guy came, opened area to roof , said he didn't know but the shingles looked solid but she should get a new roof anyway (?) and then left w the area open to the roof. She's 80 and couldn't close it! We called to have him return to close it and we're told he couldn't possibly come back till tomorrow afternoon leaving it open in this freezing cold all night. After some bad past experiences years ago we were hesitant to do anymore work. Our slowly getting worse roof, and brick I hated forced us to start looking into companies. I had a list of 4 but for some reason before even getting an estimate I kept saying I bet this will be who we choose. All the great reviews, along with a few people I talked to on fb (who used them) we then met Phil. Who not only explained everything but showed us samples. Than came in slightly cheaper then a local company we thought about using. Add in the great financing and we choose King Quality. That was a Tuesday. Friday the job started, by Wednesday they were done. Every time we pull up to the house I cannot believe this is our house. It came out absolutely amazing. We literally had neighbors running over wanting to talk to Phil lol. Anna was the foreman (I think that's the title?) I loved that it was a woman I just felt like she totally understood everything I wanted lol. I am in love with our house beyond words. It went from one of the typical long island homes to a modern amazing almost cottage looking home. No more brick! We are so happy with it. I will forever recommend them to everyone. This is the happiest we have ever been with a company. The financing again is just amazing. I mean who wouldn't rather keep money in their pocket as long as it's a low interest rate? We had King Quality do our home back in November, both siding and a new roof as well as roof repair. I cannot say enough good things about the roofers, they were super fast, clean, and they left zero mess behind. It was like we didn't even have anything done at all! Our siding took a few days which was expected, and the job was a bit messier and more mess was left behind. We have had them have to come back once already for a trim piece that had started to bubble and I wasn't crazy about the week plus wait time (and having to call multiple times to find out when someone was going to be here) which is why I'm knocking them a star. They also didn't relay the message properly to the siding guys they sent out (the same ones who had done the original job) which led to some confusion once they got here. I feel obligated to write this review because of the service that was provided. I had my house sided and a new roof installed. My house was the ugliest house on the block and everyone who drove past it could notice how bad the roof was. I actually used to say, "when you see the really nice house on the right near the corner, we are the one right next to it". We met with our salesperson, Carrie, and she took time to explain the products and services. She didn't try to up sell anything. She was professional in her sales approach. Answered lots of questions. We agreed on a price and got the call when work would commence. Our roof was completed in less than a day. The crew left the work area clean and even cleaned ny neighbors side yards just to be safe. The siding crew showed up on the following Monday and were finished in 3 days. The lead guy, Mike, kept in touch the entire time and spoke to me like a regular guy. I had no idea he would replace fixtures around all the outside lighting and electric boxes. He offered to rehang new mailboxes and any outer minor adjustments. We are waiting for shutters to be installed to complete the job and that was explained due to factory slow downs due to COVID. That being said, on Christmas morning, I got a call that a few shingles blew off during a major wind and rain event. I texted my salesperson Carrie and she said she would have someone out there soon. I was expecting it maybe by the weekend or Monday morning. To my surprise, the roofer showed up on Christmas morning at 1130am to make a repair. If that doesn't give you confidence in hiring King Quality, nothing will and good luck finding someone that will show up on Christmas morning if needed. read more

Hired King Quality because they have been around for a long time. Well what a lousy experience we received after we paid our deposit. It took almost 3 months to begin this work. Apparently the windows are all made to order so that took longer for the work to begin. We were never told that. Their scheduling sucks and they have no organization when making it. The work finally begins and they are finished in a week about a month later there is black mold on my bay window. Contacted king quality had someone come and look at it. I am informed that because I have blinds and sheer curtains that is the cause of the mold. They did reorder a window for us about a month ago still waiting. Continuing to wipe the mold away because the wood in the bay window is wet and want to make sure I keep any mold spores from spreading. So if you like sheer curtains and blinds you can only have one or the other. They think it's ok and promoting customer service by giving you shirts and stress balls. I won't wear your sweater out in public because I am not promoting your company. Not now not ever. read more

King Quality put a new roof on our home today. Was a total tear off down to the wood. Our salesman was Dan R. Dan was reliable informative and truthful. We ended up needing 41 new wood panels. I was kinda surprised we needed so many. They are 65 a panel ( the company offers five free) so the project ended up costing $2,340.00 more. I wasn't thrilled but I was warned. Ok so that was the bad news. Here's the good news: Dan made sure everyone showed up when they should. They were on time PROFESSIONAL AND METICULOUS. I could not ask for more. I am totally confident in this company. The crew were gentlemen and the roof was completed in hours. Before leaving they swept, raked and used a blower to clean our property. It was as if they were never there. Ok so we probably paid more than we would have if we used Joe Shmoe. The level of professionalism and the quality of the work made it worth the money. We decided on King Quality for siding and some windows in part because of all the positive reviews we were seeing but the experience has not been as positive as we had hoped. Everything started out as you would expect with the initial rip of the old siding. Very messy but that is to be expected and the crew did a decent job of cleaning up after each day. Issue starts when I realize that they had removed almost every window screen, even on windows they were not replacing. Once we noticed and asked for the screens back, no one know where they were. We are 2 months out of the job being finished and still waiting for a screen. We were having a few windows replaced. Front of the house windows with grid in the sash. Instead the grid was placed in a window for the kitchen and no grid for the front window were were replacing. Seems even after Mark (sales person) came by to get the information, nothing was done until yesterday when we called and asked where the windows were? Now being told end of August. Side entrance has a bell on it which was simply covered over with flashing, so no side door bell now. There a few other issues but seems to be no point in mentioning. read more
