If you are thinking about buying anything from Craig Smith RV, I would seriously rethink your decision! My husband and I bought a used Class A RV from here last November. It was supposed to be inspected by their service department and everything should have been in working condition. When we did the walkthrough we were more worried about remembering how everything worked and didn't really pay attention to "IF" everything was working properly. We never owned an RV, so we were overwhelmed. Since it was November we brought it home winterized and just sat it in the driveway. While it sat in our driveway we noticed the battery got drained from the microwave running continuously and there was a leak coming from underneath the toilet. After a couple of months of snow, it finally cleared up enough for us to drive it to have someone else in Seville perform a thorough inspection of tires, microwave and the possible leak. They found a leak in the black tank, a microwave that was inoperable and a motor that was not working properly for the drop down cab bed. I want to remind everyone that we did not even use anything in this RV!! It sat in our driveway. That's it. We did not break anything on this RV. It was broken when we bought it. The RV service center in Seville gave us an estimate for all work that needed performed. We decided to take it back to Craig Smith RV for all work to be completed that should have been right in the first place. After 10 days of sitting at Craig Smith, we received a call back with an estimate of over $3,000 in repairs. My husband called Tammy who did our walkthrough and asked to please talk with Andy the service department manager to see if they could help us out. 24 hours later we received no call back. Assuming they would not help us out we decided to remove our RV from the business with no work performed. The service department manager Andy and Tammy made us feel that we somehow broke the microwave and the motor for the drop down bed. Again, all it did was sit in our driveway. We never used the microwave or bed!! The service department at Craig Smith RV is the MOST DISHONEST team we have ever dealt with. read more

I was not impressed at all with this dealership. Our salesman was fantastic and seemed to be a good guy playing middleman between us and an awful leadership administration. That said, we came in and looked at a specific trailer, agreed on a deal, and put money down to have that trailer ready by Friday. They had some minor things to fix that were pointed out when I looked at it. (that date got pushed back to Saturday, but it was no big deal as long as we had the trailer by Sunday night when we needed it). We showed up on Saturday to pick up the trailer, and I immediately noticed that it was a different trailer than the one that we had agreed on. I brought this up to them, to which I was told that it's the same model number and that they had several of this model, and when that is the case, they always pull the oldest one out and deliver that. I took this to mean that it is common practice, so if you're in a similar situation, check and recheck that you're getting the unit you want. It wouldn't be a big deal if the trailer were identical to the one we looked at. However, the trailer they delivered to us was three months older. Outlets are in different locations than anticipated (not a huge deal, but annoying). The biggest problem is that the dinette and sofa are in a different configuration. We had planned on the couch being in a specific location to accommodate a kennel for my K9 when it is necessary for me to travel with her. The trailer was missing stickers in the wet bay for the water heater bypass, rather than putting an actual proper sticker on, somebody wrote "bypass" on a piece of tape (that will assuredly come off after the first use), with no further explanation. Furthermore, this trailer was delivered with damage to trim pieces that were not fixed and missing a sewer hose (not a huge deal, but it shows an incredible lack of attention to detail, I was later told by the salesman that sewer hoses aren't included on any trailer they sell however, I find this odd, because every camper I've ever purchased anywhere else has included the sewer hose). I was told by the salesman that I could take my trade home, and we could call the deal off (I'm not sure what would've happened with the deposit that was not addressed). I could wait another week and take the trailer that we agreed on. However, that was problematic due to my needing a trailer for the next day. Or I could just shut up and be happy with the deal and take the older trailer, which was not the agreed on trailer and not ideal for our situation, but I could have it immediately. So, reluctantly, I took the trailer they had prepped, even though it was not what we agreed on. I felt like they should've offered to something to compensate for the difference, and I was extremely disappointed that none of the "big bosses" could not be bothered to discuss the situation with me. I've never filed a complaint or even written a negative review of a company, so I feel bad even writing this, but I feel like others should know to be careful. ------------------------- UPDATE: A man who identified himself as one of the owners called me at 11:18 on Sunday morning (the day after my review was left) to inform me that if I do not take the review down, they will refuse to do warranty work on my new camper or fix the items that were not corrected before delivery. He did not refute the details in the review, and admitted that they had prepped a different camper than the one we had agreed to purchase. Furthermore, he went over the options they had given me which I have already detailed. He went on to say that the reason none of the bosses spoke to me was because they were worried I might "cause a scene", which seems like a stretch, considering I was there with my two young kids and I gave no indication of that possibility, even though I obviously was not happy about the situation. read more

I've had such a horrible experience buying my 2020 camper from Craig Smith RV. They are extremely dishonest and have very poor customer service. I paid a lot of money for them to do their inspection, detail, and walkthrough. They said it would be 10 days until we could do a walkthrough. Turned into several weeks . We declined it and picked up our camper when the service and detail was supposedly done. There was no detailing done. I found dog hair and dog food on the floor. The refrigerator smelled terrible. The plug to the camper was bent so I don't see how they even plugged it in to do any service on it! We had to fix it in order to even plug it in. Then when we hooked the water up we found out that the water tank was leaking. The window also wasn't sealed well and leaked. We seasonal camp and really wished we would of asked around before we bought our camper here. It turns out it's a well known fact around the campground to stay away from Craig Smith RV. read more

My Wife an I Made two trips before making our purchase of a used Palomino 5th wheel. Josh and the staff treated us with respect and courtesy.Josh was very knowledgeable about what we were looking at.He understood what our wants an needs were. Also the finance person did a great job of getting us financed so we could make our purchase. Upon our arrival for our walk through Tammy was very helpful and knowledgeable about the unit. All of the staff of the service were super accommodating especially when the hitch we were to receive did not fit. They bent over backwards to make up for the mistake. Of course this all took place on Friday the 13th, wouldn't you know. We would definitely work with these people again. They have my 5 star rating for sure. The forever warranty is a joke. I'm going to look into a class action lawsuit for their deception. They claim there is no catch but there absolutely is a catch. if you don't get the yearly inspection they don't honor the warranty. Do you have to get a yearly inspection on a vehicle when it has a warranty? I had less trouble with an RV I paid $3,000 for than one I bought from them for 40 grand read more

Aaron Spangler was the rudest sales person I have ever had the misfortune of interacting with. After I found the perfect RV here I requested more information and before I was able to return his call he emails me stating that he has been tracking my emails which is an incredible privacy violation. Then after I asked not to be contacted again he proceeded to email me again saying not to request information if I can't respond fast enough. I hope they can understand the need to work around the customers timeline, not the other way around and that speaking to a potential customer like that will not make the sale. read more

Our cad converter was stolen while in their possession for 7 months while waiting to be repaired. They filed it with our insurance and we r stuck with the $500 deductible. They won't release our RV to us until we pay in full, which includes the cost of labor and product. Unethical behavior. It was stolen on their lot while waiting an absurd amount of time for repairs. read more

I can not say enough good about this place, they have been fantastic to work with from the initial purchase, to the day we went and picked up our new keystone sprinter 5th wheel in a severe thunderstorm, having to transfer the contents from our previous camper to the new one, to them going above and beyond in helping us getting our title transferred from Ohio to Pennsylvania. Just took it back in today, as husband had a minor collision with a pole on the gate at our storage facility that is clearly too small to store decent sized RV's so, after we get it back I will update on how their body shop is with insurance BS read more

We have had two experiences with the service department. Both have been terrible. The forever warranty is a joke. It does not cover anything. We've had to have the toilet vent pipe repaired and they said that nothing was wrong. I fixed it myself. They installed stabilizing bars incorrectly. The stabilizing bars rubbed on the LP tanks causing damage, so they moved the tanks but put them on cockeyed. They still rub. I could write a book but I will leave it at that. When I last went to pick up the trailer my LP covers were missing. The bumper cap for the black hose was lost. read more

Do not trust this dealership at all. They scheduled a repair for me over the phone and promised a date that it would be done. I dropped it off on a Saturday and received a call on Monday with an estimate of diagnostics saying that my warranty company would pay for that. I called back the next Monday and they had not even started on my rig. I had to cancel a trip thinking that they were just running behind. Long story short, they completed all the work before contacting the warranty company which didn't pay for any of it. I ended up owing almost $800----and to add insult to injury they charged an extra 3.5% for credit cards which they didn't tell me until they had already completed work that I didn't authorize. I also found out that the work that was done could have been done for half the price at another place. Do not trust this company. They lied to me from beginning to end and did work on my rig that I did not authorize! read more

Ok experience up to purchase. We were buying from out of state and they worked with us on meeting before purchase and delivery of RV. That's where the service stopped. Generic walk through at time of purchase, since it was being delivered, key items not explained. Was told that certain items would be included with RV and upon delivery items were nowhere to be found. Contacted dealer with no response on missing items. RV showed up without a temp plate and we had to again contact them about temp plate and title question. Lets just say response time with this company is horrible. Contacted them for information on other items that should have been provided and it has now been weeks without a response. Would not suggest buying from this dealer unless you're willing to pull your purchase off the lot and be forgotten about. read more

Three stars for the experience being average. Not bad, not exceptional. Purchasing an RV is similar to the process of buying a car where the salesmen are not your friends although they attempt to imply that is the case. As a result of the pandemic and the shortages of available models allows them to invoke basic economics and not budge that much on the price, which we found the same at other dealers during this time. And of course, get everything in writing. Promises were made, one kept, not all in writing which was my fault. And there was one problem that we were told would be addressed but when we set up at the campground it was quite apparent it wasn't even looked at. Their response was 'bring it back.' We did the repair ourselves. Keep the right perspective and you will do okay here. read more

I am beyond disgusted with the way this company conducts business. My parents wanted to buy an RV and since Craig Smith Rv did not have the title yet that they could not sell it for 6 weeks until the title was in their possession. My parents were so excited to show off their new toy to my husband and myself. Dad called Craig Smith RV less than 10 minutes before embarking on our 90 mile trip to show off their RV and the sales person told them to come out and show it off. When we arrived at Craig Smith RV they informed us that they sold it, now why make them drive 90 miles for no reason?.? They admitted that they did not communicate with the other sales associates about the selling of the RV (horrible customer service). They were beyond rude and disrespectful to my parents (especially the sales associate who insisted on having the last word, over and over again making rude comments as well as his inability to admit he messed up as he repeatedly blamed the other associates). There were several ways that they could have made THEIR screw up right but instead of trying to fix it they belittled and mistreated my parents. I was horrified witnessing them treat my parents like this. I will NEVER do business with these people and I will spread the word to EVERYONE I know and will meet. read more

Great and friendly customer service! Really took the time to understand what we needed as a family and heard all of our concerns! We bought a 2017 from them in March 2021 and thought the transmission was slipping and they were very quick to find out what was wrong and got it fixed In a timely manner. Just for them to turn around in August to buy back our car and upgraded us to a 2017 suv! read more

Went here because they told me on the phone they could fix our window and interior wall for half the price as our local rv service center and they could do it this week on 6/13. We bought our camper there and will never do it again. When we bought it, they said it was inspected. NEED GLASSES? After getting it home we found the wall under the window was rotted, OMG. A full tank of gas to get there and back and it is not fixed. They had us down for an estimate although I had called twice to confirm the repair would be done that day and at a quoted price. When we got there, they looked at it, said it would not be half but twice what the other dealership wanted and it couldn't be done that day. 1. We bought it there. 2. Their quote was less. 3. Could be done that day. 'July for the other dealer.' I know better, get it in writing and when buying as is, make sure their inspection is inspected properly. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! Went and looked at a used RV. The salesperson was awesome. We looked at it and 2 days later but a bid in on it and we agreed on a price. I refused to pay the $599 prep fee due to if I buy a used car it is inspected and things corrected prior to me buying it and they clean it/detail it free of charge. That is business. So they stated it was included in the price. Perfect! No not really!!!! The unit was delivered to me late on a Saturday. The man who delivered it was wonderful and helped set it up. After he left and we finished setting it up we realized our hose for the water was to short. So we left and went and got a new one, some groceries and dinner. Get back open the fridge door to put the groceries away and there are ROACHES all over the inside of the fridge (I have a huge phobia of these nasty bugs). I have never had roaches before so I researched all night that night on how to get rid of them. So in the morning (Sunday) my husband goes and buys foggers, gel and roach motels. We lay out the roach motels everywhere, put the gel down on surfaces and set the bombs up (as we are doing this they are on the ceiling now and do NOT care we are here and we FIND dead ROACHES in the cabinets!!!). We leave and set off the bombs. I sent a text to my salesman and the owner ended up calling me back. He said he WILL make this right. We get home later and walk in and there are 3 roaches right there still kicking and walking around. So Monday morning we talk to the owner again. And decide to wait a couple of days to give the bombs, roach motels and gels to take some affect on the roaches. At that time the owner ask me if I took pictures of them. UM NO!! My first instinct is to kill them not take pictures/videos of them. They offered to come and take the unit and bomb it. My thought process is I just did that.. so we need something else.. an exterminator!! And also my big question was "How did prep miss this??? There are even dead ones they left in the cabinets..so you can not tell me they did not know". And in prep they are supposed to clean the unit. Nope they didn't do that EITHER!!! So now we are at Friday and I wake up to the bugs crawling on my bedroom ceiling and one DEAD in my bed!!! Where I was sleeping. And it isn't just the bugs!!! (like if that isn't bad enough) we were told at the walk thru that the antenna was working and all hooked up ready to go (we paid cash and bought the unit "as is"). We couldn't get the antenna to work. We thought it was user error. My husband went on the roof this week to put a new Sim card in the Wingard we had them install. He comes down and informs me why he is up there he figured out why the antenna did not work... the CABLE was SPLICED!!! So how did it work when they tested it? We were told everything worked on the unit. Went to take a shower and the hot water nob.. DOESNT work. We have to use plyers to turn it on. We have ordered new hardware for the shower and my husband has been watching "youtube" videos on how to fix the antenna. They could have been honest and said those items did not work. We would have still bought it... but if I knew about the ROACHES!!! That would have been a deal breaker. Prep did not clean or inspect the RV as they were supposed to or as we were told they did. The unit should have never of left with roaches in it and to even leave the dead ones in the cabinets is disgusting!!!! These people LIED to us.. did not CLEAN and or INSPECT the unit. This is are first time buying an RV. My husband travels for work so we will be living in it. One thing I can say is this has been a LEARNING experience and they have taught me what not to do.. TRUST anything they say. They are paying for an exterminator who will be here tomorrow. The BIG points are this.. the UNIT was NOT CLEANED (we cleaned up the dead roaches and candy wrappers etc in the cabinets from previous owners), Things broke that they said worked (why lie about that) and with the ROACHES the way they are this place is INFESTED from what I have read the way they come out during the day and don't run from us and still here after all the stuff we bought and have done to kill them. And all we get is an exterminator. Good business is to take accountability for the less than acceptable job your employees do. The salesman told me there business had been slow.. now I know why. I made the owner aware of all of the above issues today with no response except for "I will have a manager call you to set up an exterminator". Not a word about all the lies we were told. I also have this to say.. the salesman was a pleasure to work with and if I was him I would go to a more "stand up" company where he can shine. He doesn't belong working with liars.
