This establishment is very nice aesthetically. I got a pineapple martini, stuffed mushrooms, and Cajun pasta with chicken. And let's not forget dessert because why not. I believe it was butter cake. The chicken with the pasta could have been a bit more tender but that sauce was everything.
My boyfriend and I love to stop in to Craftway for consistently yummy food and great service. They have a full bar and will let you taste test their frozen drinks, which is so helpful for my indecisive nature. The ambiance gives upscale casual dining. I love getting their charcuterie boards. We always try a new main dish, as everything is so appealing. We will be back!
Stopped in for a quick bite and this place didn't disappoint. Ordered the shrimp and grits entree along with their take on a pot pie. Both were excellent, although you shouldn't expect the pot pie to be a major filler; though the unique flaky top was a different twist from the usual expectations that come with a pot pie. The thing I enjoyed most about this place is how friendly all the staff were and on top of that they even gave me a coupon for $20 off the next visit. I am eagerly anticipating my next visit as I really want to try the Beef Wellington!
Lively atmosphere - great fast and friendly service. Food tasted fresh and full of flavor - definitely a place we will return to very soon! I personally had the ahi tuna bowl and it was super yummy! Although the tuna portion was a little on the small size
What a great little spot. We sat out on the patio and while the traffic noise from Southlake Blvd was a little much at times - the patio was well done and felt very welcoming. We began our meal with the Calamari which was lightly battered and perfectly cooked. I had the Bourbon Blackberry Smash and it was pretty good. A little more tart than I expected but it was good and well made. Out entrees arrived together with the presentation of each plate being most excellent. I had the Beer Battered Fish & Chips and my wife had the Coconut shrimp which was to die for (I stole much of it). The other couple with us had shrimp plates as well and there were zero leftovers to take home. I would be remiss if I failed to mention our service was spot-on. Our waiter was always there when needed but rarely noticed. He took great care of us and made us want to come back again soon!!
Love this place!! The service is always great and the chef even came out to our table to introduce himself! The food is always very yummy and the environment is cozy! I enjoy eating here!
We came here around 2 pm on a weeked, and it was fairly empty. Our waitress was sweet and recommended the frozen "drink of the day", a piña colada. I took her up on it for a mere $7, and it was delicious, complete with a toasted coconut rim. It also made me pretty sleepy for the rest of the day, so it must have had more booze than I tasted. My husband was hungry and ordered the shrimp pasta. I went with the Reuben egg roll app, which could have used more corned beef. The strange part was the wait. We waited and waited for a very simple order, while two four tops who came in after us received their food about 15 minutes before we did. Eventually we asked our waitress about it, and she brought the food out right away. I was worried it had been sitting under the salamander in the kitchen, but it was piping hot. Everything was fine overall, but there is no real need for a repeat visit. There is a pretty nice outdoor seating area, but with Texas heat, it likely is only useable for 3 months outta the year.
Craft kitchen and everything was made fresh and to order. The food was amazing in an elegant atmosphere. Our server Kenny was personable and explained everything including the martini swap to keep our drinks cold.
Super cute outdoor area was having a party of sorts...it looks great as it's covered! On the inside there is a variety of booth and table seating plus the bar. We had a lovely waiter and he recommended the crab cake. We started with blue cheese and bacon crumbled over chip. Devine! I had fried cat fish and shrimp. Super delicious!!! The hubs had the crab cake and brussels sprouts. He said the crab cake was amazing! Service was great and food yum-o!!!
Second visit to this location. This time with a party of ten. Restaurant was slamming busy. Our server Cassidy was great. The service was good but the food had a few problems. Our appetizer Coconut shrimp was very overcooked and rubbery. One entree with pork chops had one cooked and one half raw. The sauce with the steak fritte was over spiced. 6 entrees were great. Just in a rush I guess !!!
We finally broke rotation and tried CraftWay Kitchen in Southlake. The service by Aidan (and the food) were impeccable. We tried the calamari, crabcake, and redfish. Holy smokes! The carafe mimosas are on point! If you have not tried it, I highly recommend you do. If you have, it is certainly worth the visit. Mike Hutchinson, owner/chef, came to the table and really made us feel welcome. The service is top tier, just what you look for! PS. We would have included pictures but it was simply too late for photos....
Really solid spot. The whole menu hits, and the food tastes like quality fun without trying too hard. Comfortable, consistent, and always a safe bet. Great happy hour too.
Loved the ease of Open Table reservations. Kourtney was our server. She was friendly and attentive. We ordered they're blue cheese chips and fried calamari. Both tasty. Order the short ribs special over mashed potatoes. It was delicious. When she asked if we wanted dessert, we asked what they had. She brought the menu. We chose the croissant bread pudding and pumpkin special. So yummy. We ate everything. Six hrs later and I'm still stuffed! Dinner was fabulous, service was fantastic, the kitchen paced ourfood perfectly! Thank you so much. Oh, manager came by to check on us as well. Great touch!
I wanted 4 or 5 of the menu dishes and the specials seemed delish too. So we will definitely be back. They have brunch too! Our waiter was fantastic. Super quick and friendly. Patio seating, tables and booths. Plenty of parking. (I don't know why restaurants out the patio on the roadside but many do.) groovy music. Diet Coke AND Coke Zero. Food was hot and fresh and customizable. read more

Went in on a Saturday morning to get a gift card for upcoming raffle. Easy parking in lot. There were already people outside enjoying food & company on their patio (that backs up to Southlake Blvd). The patio is decorated cure with lights, a fireplace, & TV playing college football. Saw fans & heaters available for the different seasons. Immediately greeted by smiling hostess and directed to bar to get my giftcard. Quick friendly service. There appeared to be some regulars and everyone having a nice time. Upscale casual vibe. Look forward to coming back to enjoy a meal sometime. read more

Love this new spot in Southlake. Staff is amazing! Everyone is on point. Not sure how they found all the best but they seem to have Large patio in the front and on the side of the bar. They have a unique concept with frozen cocktails, and I have to say the frozen old fashion is delicious and packs a punch. They have a daily happy hour until 6 PM and it does include some frozen cocktails, but not the old-fashioned. We tried several things and everything was delicious made from scratch made to order . The portions are large and the sandwiches come with fries and you can swap at no charge! Add it to the love list!! read more
The Southlake location of Craftway Kitchen has been open for ~1 month and I'm so happy this one is so much closer to home! The service and food quality is similar to the Plano one - which is to say, consistently good. The new space is right off of Southlake Blvd and is very spacious, w a nice open bar area and a covered patio. Of the drinks, my wife loved the frozen Paloma and the Old Fashioned - made w Angels Envy bourbon () - is top notch IMO. The Brussels sprouts side dish is fantastic! Landry, our server, was outstanding. She split our entree for us and was always available for a water refill and to answer questions or just chat. This is a great venue for HH too! read more

Having just arrived from out of town for an event, I looked for a nice farm-to-table type original destination and I was pleased to find Craft Way. Not only that, the weather was so nice & traffic not too noisy that sitting outside was the better choice, an ambience of perfection for a perfect meal. Too bad I was solo, I would bring everyone here next time. CW's menu had plentiful delicious options, even for a currently gluten-free diner such as myself. Sara was such a hospitable & professional waitress that made me want to return. Spacing and seating were comfortable & just right. Too bad I live 2 hours away or I would frequent CW more often. The only con is I thought my salmon entree would've been the thicker variety instead of thin like trout. However Sara explained that if notified of that preference the chef would've obliged my request. Communicate anything you need & looks like they will bend over backwards to win your business as the lovely food & service was lacking absolutely nothing. Craft Way is a winner! Don't miss this gem if you're in the area. read more
We had our first visit this week. As usual we sat at the bar, which is spacious and staffed with wonderful bartenders who all went out of their way to be friendly and make recommendations. The Happy Hour times and offerings are among the best in Southlake. We had the French Dip and the Beef Wellington for dinner. We also sampled the stuffed mushrooms and candied bacon. Everything was fantastic. Pro tip - add a side of the peppercorn gravy to any and all dishes. It really pops. Capped it off with an excellent espresso martini and blueberry cobbler with cinnamon vanilla ice cream from Henry's IYKYK. read more

New hangout alert! Put the new Craftway Kitchen on your calendar - it's patio season and this patio is great. Indoors is just as sleek (but somehow still cozy). TRY * Pineapple martini. It's not too sweet, not bitter - and they even bring out fresh frosty glasses if you talk too much and the original glass loses its frost. * Spinach dip appetizer (yummy) * Coconut shrimp (crispy, flavor, not overdone) SHOUT-OUTS * Staff! Caitlin took care of us and she's amazing. Kyle stopped to check in; also super-professional and friendly * Kitchen is on fire * Mixologist is top-tier read more

Upon entering the Craft Way Kitchen you immediately appreciate the ambiance. Simply, yet tastefully designed with barn wood tables on wooden floors, the feel almost becomes elegant. Add to that the classic album rock playing, I was right at home! My service was really good. I greeted and seated immediately and then Cassidy introduced herself as my server. She did a pretty decent job handling several tables she had, but sometimes there were long waits before she returned, especially when it was time for the check I ordered the Prime Rib French Dip. It was tender and flavorful. My only wish was that it would have been just a little less fatty. It was alarming running into gristle as I chewed it. It was a solid attempt at a Prime Rib French Dip, however in retrospect I probably would not order it again. The steak fries it came with were delicious! Overall, my experience was a good one. I would stop short of saying excellent. Review #2060 read more
Craft Way kitchen was a good experience for us. The menu was small and well thought out. The interior of the restaurant was newly redone and had a trendy vibe. We went for lunch but we would visit again to try the dinner menu. read more

So I was looking for a place to eat after work and I had to get out of the traffic. And there was craft way. I looked up on the Internet, and I saw that coconut shrimp and the beef Wellington. And I was sold. I went in and tried both. The coconut shrimp was wonderful except for someone who was supposed to be cleaning them and clean them very well and I just cleaned it myself and then ate it anyway. But when I'm mentioning it to the leader, they went ahead and took it off my bill, even though I pretty much ate the whole thing. I thought that was very classy of them too stand up for their own work. Cause I had no way to ask them to take it off I was going to pay for it anyway because I enjoyed it except for the little self work. The way that the food came out in the presentation was so beautiful. I'm pretty sure that was an accident. Also the beef Wellington was so delicious. It was a perfect medium rare. I didn't ask for my own well done as I like to see what the chef is gonna present and it was delicious as is. The crust was very light flaky. You can tell he makes his own. The mushroom around under the pastry was delicious. I really wish it had a little more mustard but other than that I think it would be great... It said something about cheese and the description, but I didn't notice any cheese. The staff was wonderful, very helpful and constantly checked back to see what was going on. The chef came out and talked to the people in the booth, but completely ignored all the people in the tables... Very interesting but that's OK. I was eating. I was busy. Overall, I really like it and there are several things on the menu that I want to try so I will definitely be going back. read more
