WOW. In town for a conference and was lucky enough to grab a reservation when they had a cancellation. Absolutely phenomenal restaurant with charm, ambiance and spectacular food. Love the shared plates style and unusual menu. It's a culinary adventure, for sure. Started out with fabulous cocktails - props to the bartender for a perfect Manhattan! (They have an excellent mostly Washington-based wine list, too.) Shared a few inspired dishes (I'm pretty sure that was the best brioche I've ever eaten in my life) and we loved it all. Creative flavor combinations and complimentary flavors - purple carrots in nut milk! Smoky apple butter on baked cheese! I can't believe we had room for dessert, but decided to go for it and were completely wowed by the mini Apple pie. Best pie crust ever. Service was friendly and attentive. Totally blown away by this gem of a restaurant! read more

Immediately download the RESY app and make a reservation at this fabulous new place. When you walk in you'll feel like you took a trip to a city. You'll be enthusiastically greeted and have excellent service throughout your stay. The drinks look amazing - the food is DELICIOUS - beautiful presentation and full of flavor. You really can't go wrong (menu items tried: warm olives, chilled English pea soup, duck papperadelle, braised ribs, brownie soufflé and grilled stonefruit with peach sorbet). EVERYTHING was delicious. Can't wait to go back. Update: I've been several times and everything is so wonderful. Definitely try the Chef's Table. It was fun and special and adventurous. read more

One of the best meals I have ever had in Yakima. The skirt steak was phenomenal. The brussel sprouts were also a winner. I cannot wait to go back! read more

It's fantastic to have a place like this open up in Yakima. Professional, gourmet, delicious, beautiful food. Ambiance is bustling and fun, and the staff are all friendly and attentive. The place is small, so I imagine there can be a wait - though we waited just five minutes for a kitchen counter seat on a Saturday evening which is great. What really makes this a five star place is the food. read more

This bar was amazing! We've been one other time and it was great as well. We came from Washington state and we were so happy to be able to sit indoors, lol! Great service, there was a really cool bartender/server with a red beard with a cool white patch (so sorry for forgetting your name) he gave us wonderful service and he was funny! read more

Great vegetarian options, decent service, and can customize most things. Not pretentious, but classy. Only issue is that they are not open Tuesday's. A little piece of seattle in Yakima. read more

Woahhhhhhh! This place is beautiful on the inside! The service and food was amazeballs! I got the Lamb which was phenomenal! If you don't like this place then get out of my face! read more

Came with a group of 6. Dishes were hit and miss. The sesame seared ahi was very good. Very small portion of course. The baby potatoes-don't bother-just potatoes with feta cheese-not the best. Roasted carrots -great sauce-these were good. Butternut squash with bacon lardon-no one cared for this-pasta was hard-sauce bland. Grilled prawns were pretty good but not exceptional. Okay the scallops-like all other reviewers state-those were the highlight of the night. Grilled Ribeye-rule of thumb never order anything with blue cheese that kills the taste of everything else. But steak was cooked beautifully-minus the blue cheese and it would have stellar. The worst dish was the squab under a brick. It was so overcooked it was inedible. We should have sent it back. And the farro, pepita salsa underneath the squab were very poor-flavorless. Desserts were pretty and good-earl grey creme brulee was very good. I did not taste the other desserts (not a fan of chocolate which all the rest were) but others at the table all said they were good with amazing presentation. The specialty drinks-The Beet Mule-didn't care for that. No one was really impressed with the specialty cocktails. Wine would be a better choice. Our server and service was great-and the restaurant was packed. 5 stars to our waitress. Would I go back? Not for a while-being new to the area there are plenty of other places to try first and it is rather spendy! But eventually we will circle back and try a different seasonal menu. Cheers! read more

Wow wow wow. What a great addition to Yakima! Everything we ate last night was beyond delicious. Mom had the soft shell crab which was my first time trying soft shell. So good! I had some kind of pasta because I can't pass up fresh pasta. Also really good. We also had duck fat potatoes as an app--who knew potatoes could be that fabulous? Best part: chocolate soufflé with ritz cracker ice cream and Copper Pot caramel. I think we almost died. Bonus: the wine list is all local. I can't WAIT to go back! read more

Way surpassed my expectations! The staff was fun and professional. The ambience was hip without being pretentious. AND THE FOOD!! Wow!!!!! I had happy hour oysters that were the best I've ever tasted. Smoked trout mousse with a charred Meyer lemon that blew my mind! And some bubbles of course. 'Twas a really good night! Thanks guys! read more

I like to try restaurants around town with my bestie, finally went to Crafted via recommendation, and it has easily jumped to one of our top favorites. I really appreciate the innovation and the "local" / "changing" philosophy, and I cannot stress that enough, as I find good ideas to be irreplaceable. Crafted is pretty much one of those cool restaurants you see on TV with the artistic plating. All I can say is thank you for coming to Yakima. When it comes to service, the staff was great. A woman delivered our food from the kitchen and I'm not sure but it may or may not have been the owner personally carrying it out to us. Don't quote me on that though! read more

It's one of the best if not the best place to eat in Yakima. The menu changes all the time and their dishes are creative. They don't make the same old "gourmet food" the other places across the streets make with high price tag. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and enthusiastic about serving their proud food. I hope they continue to do good work. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant!! We ate at the Chef's Counter last Friday night and the wait staff was amazing - friendly, helpful with questions about the menu and great service. The food is hands down the highlight. We had the tasting menu with paired wine and it was so much food! The sticky rice was the BEST dish! I hope it becomes a staple on their menu. The scallop crudo was also fantastic! They also offer craft cocktails and the Smudge Pot Negroni was my favorite! Made me wish I had a smoker at home to recreate it. We loved the restaurant food, drinks and vibe so much, we came back for round 2 the following evening! Definitely check out this restaurant! There's a reason for 5 stars! read more

Food is unique and awesome. They care about preserving local fisheries which is also awesome. Prices could be better but after all it is an up scale place. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE I was looking forward to trying the food but was immediately turned off by a rude server. This person obviously didn't want to welcome my friend and me for a meal and we chose to leave the restaurant rather than deal with such a horrible person. Rarely do I let a little attitude ruin a dining experience, however, this woman was absolutely toxic. read more

Fantastic! I'm so happy Crafted has been added to the Yakima dining options! Three of us came in when we were lucky enough to snag the last available reservation on a Saturday night. We're all from Seattle and it really felt like we were home! We split a bottle of wine and decided pretty quickly on the chefs menu. All of the food was absolutely excellent, pork belly was the tables favorite. The wine we selected was okay, our waitress didn't have much to say about the wines besides "white probably goes better with the current menu". I would say that the only place you see them still working out the kinks is in waitstaff experience. Ours was very sweet, but wasn't particularly good at describing each dish, and as silly as it might sound, it would have added to the overall 'upscale dining' experience. On the other hand, she brought over the chef to talk with us at the end of our meal and it was great to chat with him about our awesome meal! Perks of small town dining! The space has been redesigned beautifully, but it is loud and very brightly lit, even when we were finishing up dinner around 10pm. Trendy, but not a place I'd go for a cozy romantic meal. read more

Just opened mid-July and defies the normal experience in a new eatery. Delicious food, inventive menu and great staff. A tad noisy but otherwise great. Walked and got a table on Saturday about 5:15pm. By the time we left, the place was packed with several waiting outside. read more

The veggie dishes here are amazing! My boyfriend and I wanted to treat ourselves to a nice dinner while visiting Yakima, and Crafted was the obvious choice in town. The menu is set up to order a few plates to share. Since I'm pescatarian, we ordered meat free dishes with the exception of the scallops. I wanted literally all of the veggie appetizers, but we went with just the cauliflower soup and brussel sprouts. Both were crazy flavorful. The beet pasta was also delicious. The only disappointment for me was the scallops. They were very lightly seared on just one side, which was just too jiggly for my liking. And $8 per scallop is too much to pay if it's not perfect. The venue itself was lovely, and all the cocktails sounded fantastic. read more

This places is an oasis in the desert!! Great menu....the chef is very creative.....and the staff is always friendly is spite of how busy they are. Fun, upbeat vibe! I'd love to see a vegan option but they do a great job with veggies! read more

Fabulous! This was a birthday dinner for a group of four. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our meal here. We had the chef's meal and it was fabulous. The cocktails are perfectly balanced. The wine list is wonderful, with a focus on Washington wines. The atmosphere was nice. The food is creative, beautiful and fun. This is the best restaurant between Seattle and Walla Walla, hands down. Make a reservation. You won't be disappointed. read more

From the moment we walked in, without a reservation, we were treated so well. The woman up front was so accommodating! She found us a table even on a very busy Saturday night. Our server, Britney, was friendly and efficient, but more about her later. We started with a delicious cocktail, followed by the most perfect oysters. You know the kind, perfectly sized, perfectly cleaned, and topped with "horseradish snow". Briny yet sweet with just a touch of heat. We then shared an order of roasted Brussel spouts and the pope eye steak. Both were cooked to the perfect temperature and presented in a beautiful way. The steak was accompanied by grilled oyster mushrooms and sherry pearls with the perfect amount of sauce that was both light and rich at the same time. We will definitely be back and OFTEN!! Back to brittney.... what a dear!! When she brought us the check to sign her pen exploded all over my hands. I felt so bad, she looked so mortified! So if you're reading this Britney, don't feel bad. It could've happened to anyone. We adore you! read more

See all

me and a friend were SO excited about this place. we are both foodies and cooks and couldn't wait to try a sampling of each "course" offerings. unfortunately, we were very disappointed. we started with the Ahi crudo which was oily, room temp and not fresh-tasting at all, and it needed acid, like citrus, for balance. next, we had the brussels. they were good, well-seasoned and hit all the quintessential brussel notes of salt, sweet, heat and bitter, but nothing stellar that would outshine any other house brussel recipe. next we tried the halibut putanesca, which was a disaster. it smelled fishy as soon as the server placed it on the table. the fish was cut into generous portions, but it was bathed in an awful not-putanesca sauce which needed salt - lots of it. the gnocchi in the dish was gummy and not pillowy-soft like it should be. we sent it back immediately and ordered the tagliatelle pasta with kale pesto and fingerling potatoes, which we figured would be safe. nope. we got the pork belly on the side because i don't eat pork. i don't think it was missed. the pasta was cooked properly, but was super oily, and with the creaminess of the potatoes and hardly any salt, it was just heavy and boring and unfinished. i thought maybe the kale pesto would help brighten the dish. nope, again. there was nothing pesto about it. no ground nuts of any kind that i could detect, no lemon notes. it was barely edible. i ate maybe two bites because i had, after all saved my appetite for this exciting dinner. i played it safe for dessert and had the offogado which was pretty yummy and my friend had the peanut butter bomb (a PB mousse covered in ganache-like chocolate) which was pretty good. we basically paid $90.00 before tip for a standard app and dessert. here's what was great: the service. our server was knowledgeable and friendly and our food runner was pleasant. i would say if you are considering going here for cocktails and an appetizer, good call. avoid coming on a full stomach and save your reservation for dessert and coffee. read more

Favorite restaurant in Yakima! Yummy food and great local options.

Great experience! The chef's menu was a great choice, and the courses were all daring but delicious. The service was friendly and relaxed

Great local and fresh food, niche atmosphere, kind and knowledgeable crew. We always enjoy an evening here!

Food is amazing! A few things for owners: Restaurant is very loud due to higher ceilings. Very hard to have a convo when restaurant is full. Maybe sound baffles could be installed? Chefs tasting menu could be modified with smaller portions to save on cost and waste. read more

What a beautiful experience. People, wine and food...oh the food. Creative and fresh menu. I enjoyed it all. So much that i want to come back tomorrow to see what's new/next. Must have dined here on a really off night. My wife and I had dinner here on 23 Sept and were less than enthused about our experience. Had glass of wine each while scanning menu. Our first choices were no longer available, but that happens. So we ordered the Tagliatelle and the Seared Scallops. Simply amazed when our dishes arrived. Portions were the size of appetizers! And for $24 and $27 an entree, value was no where to be seen that evening. Quickly finished and beat a hasty retreat. read more

This has to be one of the most expensive mistakes for dinner I've ever made. Service and ambiance was great. I would advise going here expecting over priced hors d'oeurvres that are elegantly placed in artsy fashion. My two pieces of tender beef were tasty although they were disappointingly small. Their hummus made from walnuts was tasty although the cracker they serve with it is like a burnt pita chip... I'm personally disappointed with the menu. Maybe I'm just not part of the distinguished upper class who are used to paying high dollar tabs for more art on their plate than food. I'd rather hang and eat plate size meals at Mel's diner, at least I can afford a dessert for my beautiful date. read more

Truly an inspired dining experience. From the first time trying owner Dan Koommoo's food I was impressed. They find a way of blending unique flavor profiles and fresh locally sourced ingredients to create an exceptional experience. Thank you for working so hard to make sure our dining experience is different and delightful each time we come! read more

Amazing service and even better food!! Such a clean and inviting atmosphere. Thank you all!

Finally got around to trying Crafted out and it is one of the best restaurants I've been to in Yakima. Surprisingly vegetarian friendly (the options were limited but everything we had was very good). The menu is meant to be shareable, so order a few things and have a few bites of each! Great drink selection as well. Love the atmosphere and how it feels like an escape from Yakima. I could picture this exact place in a big city. One of my new go-to's for a night out. Also make sure to make a reservation beforehand, the tables fill up fast! read more
