Polish Sausage

The food was way overpriced and the pierogis were inedible. The plates were plated beautifully however, the food was not very good all in all. The cabbage roll was edible and the sausage was just sausage. The waitress was wonderful and she even offered to get me another cabbage roll to replace the pierogis (which I declined). Sadly we were very disappointed with our meals & will not be returning.

This review is for the deli they have attached to the restaurant. I stopped by to see what they had in the deli. It is a small store front that has a multiple things from prepackaged items to desserts and tons of various sausages (smoked). I grabbed 3 different types of smoked sausages and they were all terrific. I also grabbed a small tub of sauerkraut that was excellent. I'll be grabbing more sausages next time I'm there. While I was there many regulars came in and were chatting with the woman working there. Clearly it's the go to place for polish treats. I definitely need to try the restaurant next.

Service was amazing. The waiters are extremely knowledgeable about the menu, are extremely friendly and attentive. We've eaten at Cracovia three times now and each time was a top tier experience. The seating is so comfortable, the tables are beautiful, the lights are bright enough to see but dim enough to make it feel calm. The decor is unique and fun. I enjoyed everything about Cracovia's atmosphere. The MENU deserves its own paragraph. We tried several different items each time we visited and were not disappointed. The potato pancakes were perfectly seasoned and crispy, the tomato caprese was fresh and light, the spinach pierogi were soft and packed with flavor, the coconut cake had the perfect sweetness, the chocolate cake was RICH and delightful, and the cabbage rolls were soft and delicious. We tried the sour rye soup & it was also very good. My spouse had the pork tenderloin with mushroom sauce and that was also perfectly seasoned. The sauce was light but paired beautifully with the pork. Everything came out in a timely manner and we didn't feel rushed to finish one course before the next course came. The staff is extremely observant and fantastic at their jobs. The only things we didn't enjoy were the mashed potatoes and the potato and cheese pierogis. The potatoes are just bland and don't have enough seasoning. Also the potatoes chip garnishes are unnecessary. The bathrooms are also neat!

We stopped in on Saturday on our way up to Inglis, to ride the river. The inside is very castle centric and would make a great place to meet after Ren Faire or your D&D game. We ordered a cup of their soup of the day, a Yellow Pea and sausage concoction that was so very very good. We also ordered a sampler platter each, this was too much food, but everything tasted so good. We really should habe shares one, because you get: 4 perogi, one of each type, 1 whole sausage, andnits not tiny, a potato pancake and a stuffed cabbage roll. You also get bread, sour cream and apple sauce. Its a lot! And not terribly proced. Our wait staff was pretty cool too very friendly and accommodating to our needs/want. This is a sleeper eatery, and should be busy every day!

Can't believe it took so long to finally dine here. We have gone to the deli attached for meats, cheeses, and bread and it's always been great. This weekend we dined in with a small group. The inside is SO cool! Very neat place with lots to look at and the tables and chairs are like something out of a movie - think Vikings with larger tables and oversized seats. Loved it! The food and service was also fantastic. We had some pierogis to start, drinks, and various meals. Everything was delicious!! Cannot wait to go back again!

The free appetizer. I thought it was the tomato proscuitto caprese but it is something else.

This was my first time at Cracovia Polish Restaurant and I have to say, I am so happy I pushed through dining here with my sister. I was in Spring Hill for the weekend as I had leisure to attend to pertaining to letterboxing. While I was here, my sister wanted to show me the progress of the construction of her house, her first (hopefully her only) one. It was looking good, and after showing me the grounds, we decided to eat dinner just to catch up on life. I admit I picked Cracovia for the fact it was "unique" compared to the other food fare around town and I am always privy to try more unique food fare. The Cracovia experience begins not when you eat, but when you arrive. The restaurant looks like an ancient fortress out of Polish historical lore. Such is accented entering through the large castle doors to an open dining area furnished as if it were medieval times. I am talking about suits of armor, grand portraits, large drapes with large tassels, flying buttresses, and torch lights (modernized with light bulbs of course). There is even a medieval style ledger to sign your entry at the front door in which a bust of a knight provides a sword pen to ink your name and date of visit. After seating, our waitress offered us some suggestions after giving us bread and free Hors d'Oeuvers, tomato prosciutto caprese (beefsteak tomato, mozzarella cheese, prosciutto, baked parmesan cheese, and balsamic vinegar). For an appetizer, we got the beef tartare (Freshly ground beef, spiced and served with an egg, onions, pickles, and mushrooms. Eaten with the bread). PHENOMENALLY DELICIOUS! Take note the beef tartare is served only on Fridays and the weekend, in the restaurant only. For our mains, I got the Cracovia Chop (Roasted pork steak on the bone served with mashed potatoes, gravy, and stewed cabbage) and my sister got the Pork Tenderloin in Mushroom Sauce (served with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies). Everything was delicious and cooked to the order we wanted as in medium for me and medium rare for my sister. My sister also jokingly commented the veggies must be "butter carved into veggies" because you could taste the veggies but the flavor of butter was thoroughly prominent. Trust me, if veggies tasted this good every time I ate them, I would be eating so much more veggies. Finally, we just had to eat dessert. I mean, everything was beyond excellent so we needed to see if dessert was the same! O... M... G...! How?! The dessert of the day was tiramisu... and it was better than any Italian restaurant has ever made it! Sister and I discerned the thick cake in place of the lady fingers must be the secret, and yes, it was. The chef even made sure to keep that "secret recipe" by stating it was a "homemade cake." Even though the tiramisu was amazing, the homemade apple cake was leaps and bounds... better. Now the chef of Cracovia has my upmost respect and admiration. Tiramisu is my favorite dessert and anyone that can create a dessert that is better than my favorite dessert should be highly regarded and well-paid. There is only one cautionary note and one debilitating sad note, in which I must stress the latter is on my sister and I and NOT Cracovia. For the cautionary note: the price of food can be high. I understand inflation has increased prices across the board but take note the appetizer was $19 and the mains were $27 each. Even our desserts were up in price as they were $14 each. They are, however, worth the price simply on the taste and how much food you get too. Now for the sad note, my sister and I did not get a chance to explore the deli. We arrived before it closed but by the time we finished our meal, that would not be the case. __________ SIDENOTES: The restrooms were clean AND they fit the ambiance and decor of Cracovia too. I definitely loved the toilet paper roller designed to look like the bust of a knight holding it for you while you do your... well... do your business. Cracovia Polish Restaurant is recognized as a venue in the UnTappd App. I suggest getting one of the German beers of tap. I got the Weihenstephaner Original. Very delicious, gave it a 4.75 out of 5.00 rating on the app. __________ I look forward to coming back and eating more of the food fare Cracovia has to offer. I really want to give them a perfect 5-star score right out of my initial visit, but I must stay vigilant. Like I say in all my reviews, the fifth star is earned for consistency. If Cracovia is consistently this amazing for at least two more visits, I will update this review with their earned fifth star. Until then, just on my initial visit, I highly recommend Cracovia to anyone who wants to try something new.

Beef Tartare

LEGITIMATE & AUTHENTIC. Being a Polish girl, I can confirm this. I even spoke Polish to our server! The restaurant itself is quite a sight to be seen with its very intense mid-evil castle vibes... My husband and I came here for dinner with my parents. We started with the beef tartare which was fantastic. It was a large portion size and I was excited to see they make it the "right way" with a raw egg on top which is rare to find. We ate every last bite! For my entree, I got the classic potato & cheese pierogi served with a side of sour cream, and they were excellent! Brings me back to the many days I spent in Poland over the years. My husband ordered the "chicken devolay" off the specials menu and raved about how good it was. The portion sizes here are HUGE. Everyone at our table had leftovers to bring home. I already can't wait to come back here again next time I'm in the area :)

My friend wanted to go here for her birthday and it was my first time eating Polish cuisine. We both ordered the sample platter and it was massive. There was so much food that neither one of us could complete it. Everything is handmade, fresh, and made with care the old, traditional published way. We were greeted by a very nice young lady had seated. I believe her name was Aaron. What a wonderful waitress! She took care of us made sure our glasses were full. Make sure everything was OK and asked if we needed something and she was very busy for just being one person to take care of all those people. And even though she was very busy and stressed beyond anything, she still maintained her professional and friendly attitude. The food was delicious, but there was so much of it. I highly recommend CRACOVIA Polish restaurant. It's a treat you won't forget. The ambient said nights and shining armor of different areas and styles all over. This is more like a medieval type decor. Even in the bathroom, the toilet paper holder was a night holding the roll which I thought was very clever. Will we return? Yes! Must definitely and we will have Erin as our waitress because she is extremely awesome.

Stuffed Cabbage Rolls [15oz]

Cracovia was worth the wait for it to open! Atmosphere: The restaurant's decor created a beautiful ambiance; the beautiful, large framed pictures and other decorations made it seem like we were in an upper-class Polish neighborhood. Food: Full disclosure: I don't like most meat, so my opinions on those dishes differed from others at the table. -- The collective favorites: 1) sauerkraut and mushroom pierogies (lightly fried version despite boiled being more authentic) and 2) potato pancakes. They both were flavorful with a delightful crunchy texture. I don't like fried food but these didn't have a greasy or heavy feel. One person who doesn't like mushrooms even liked -- and preferred -- that pierogi (we also ordered the potato and cheese pierogi, which was also good). It surprised us how nicely the applesauce paired with the potato pancakes. -- One person's favorite was the stuffed cabbage (15 oz size = two rolls). I only tried a small bite on the end since I don't like ground meat so can't really speak to it but seemed fine. -- Cracovia chop was tender -- Bigos was interesting, just a little too much meat for me -- Duck salad was fresh, not the reason we went to a Polish restaurant but I needed some veggies. Probably would pass on it next time. -- Bread came complementary and others liked it, especially the dark brown one. I'm not a bread eater so only had a bite but could tell it was fresh. Service: Our Polish waitress Sylwia was patient, helpful, and proactively friendly; she even offered to take our picture after seeing me taking pictures of the food. She had a sweet and understanding smile that made me feel welcome. You can save 3% by paying cash.

Potato and cheese pierogi Super yummy

The service, is above and beyond amazing what a great job... The food comes out fresh one at a time, we were done with soup and the next dish came out. The main course came next Fresh and hot food Be patient not a place to rush but a place to relax and eat super food, we celebrated a birthday occasion. The ambiance the decorations, the music, the customers involvement with the items available to look not touch and sign a book at the end is very interactive and interesting, the music takes you away in a European culture. Please check it out right away. Check the hours Wishing a super experience for everyone who goes in there

This place is so cute and warmly decorated inside. The tables are nice and big to accommodate all the little dishes you'll be given. The soup of the day today was dill pickle and it was simply amazing. The dill wasn't overpowering and it was full of great flavors and textures. We shared a sampler plate and the stars of the dish were the cabbage rolls and pierogi. I will definitely return to try more menu items!

She greeted me warmly as usual. Since I used to live in the Chicago-South Bend, IN area, I provided her a little garden flag from the Pierogi Festival I would attend when I was up in that area. She hung it proudly in her deli and thanked me for the gift. I thanked her for bringing authentic Polish food back into my life! I purchased the Polish kielbasa sausage again as well as the Polish ham. Both were exceptional the last time I purchased them. This time, I added frozen pierogies-one made with cheese and the other with sauerkraut. It reminded me of the pierogies my mom used to make, and I cannot wait to serve them for the holidays. I then asked Monica if she had any golabki (stuffed cabbage). She said, "I just made some fresh this morning." I purchased a package of three. I had two of them later that evening and they brought back great memories of my past. They were as good as babcia (grandmother) used to make! It's always fun and entertaining to stop in here and enjoy a laugh with Monica. If you want authentic Polish supplies, this is the place to go!

The food is really really good. We were delightfully surprised at how tasty the Dill Pickle soup is. The Pierogis we ordered pan sautéed and they were all very tasty. The Cold Cuts were all really nice too. The decor is fairly dark in black and dark red with alligator print table and booth coverings. There is also a store inside selling a decent selection of candies, canned goods, sausages and frozen pierogi to take home. Service is friendly and as attentive as we wanted. This is a highly recommended place to experience. We can't wait to return on a future trip to the area.

I had such high hopes for this place. :( The selection is very limited and perhaps I missed something (entirely possible), but I did not see a price list for the deli case. We were flooded with nostalgia and left in hopes of dining in on a less-busy day. I ordered two meats, including the German bologna. During the drive home, my family and I noticed a terrible odor-- the kind where we started pointing fingers at one another. We never suspected that the package from the deli was the source. When we opened it at home, a nauseatingly funky, ammonia-type smell came from the German bologna.
