Last couple of times we went to Cracker Barrel's (while traveling) we were very disappointed (undercooked or overcooked food), but this location in Findlay brings it! This is the Cracker Barrel I remember from my younger days--super friendly staff, fast service, hot and tasty breakfast. Cracker Barrel isn't fancy, but it's predictable and affordable and that is its greatest gift to traveling families! Had the Old Timers bfast w scrambled eggs and bacon--cooked perfectly--loaded hasbrown casserole and biscuits n' gravy. Everything was hot and delicious, and we'll definitely be back! read more

Always good! Cracker Barrel is Cracker Barrel - You always know what you're going to get. From the layout of the restaurant, to the staff and the food, their consistency is nearly unparalleled to any other chain. Their model is simple - Good food, good service = Happy Customers. On this particular occasion, I was craving their French Toast Breakfast. One of my usual go-to orders at Cracker Barrel. French Toast, two Sausage Patties and an Orange Juice. When the server brought out the food though, it was not the French Toast Breakfast. It was a French Toast Bake, which I'd never heard of. I looked puzzled and asked her what it was. She realized the miscommunication and put my real order in immediately. She also stated that since she put the plate of food on the table, she couldn't take it back, so she let me take it home. A few minutes later, my delicious French Toast arrived. It was perfect in every way. Later that day, I heated up the French Toast Bake at home and had it for dinner. It was okay, but it was re-heated. I may have enjoyed it more when it was fresh from the kitchen. Would I go back? I always do! With my extensive travel, there is almost a Cracker Barrel within 20 miles of whatever highway that I'm on. The billboards and signs will always remind you. These billboards work! Even if I wasn't thinking of it, I will be as soon as I see their sign. Now I want pancakes! read more

Awesome lunch. Great service from James! Missed stopping in when you had previous CEO. Good to be back.

It has been several months since I've been to this Cracker Barrel, even though I drive by often as we live in Findlay. Following two terrible experiences today was absolutely 180° from what it was a few months ago. Today we were greeted when we walked in seated very quickly. The restaurant was clean. The service was excellent, and the food was very good. The biscuits may be the best I've ever had here. Really glad that we had a good experience, hoping that this particular store has turned around. I would recommend giving it a try. We're going to try it again soon. read more

I usually eat at this Cracker Barrel once a year when I am in Findlay, always on a Saturday. Even though it was Saturday night, the dining room was almost empty. This time I had a 4 item vegetable plate. The food has always been good and it was today also, but the service was a little spotty. When the meal came, there were no beverages delivered, no gravy on the potatoes and no butter for the muffins. So it took a while to get things right. It seemed to be a one off, so I'm sure I'll stop here again the next time I'm in Findlay. I was a little dismayed at some of the changes they've made to the menu. I hope they bring back the vegetable soup and the cobbler which are two things I always used to order. Right now CB is going through some major pushback from the woke changes they made in their logo, etc. Fortunately, they still have the triangle pegboard games which help pass the time when you're waiting for your meal. I evn bought a couple to take home sine my wife likes them, too. I think they will recover OK if they listen to their base and ignore the corporate types. Rocking chairs, pegboards, corn muffins--they're all part of the CB experience. read more

Service was quick and friendly and food was good, hot and fast! Always a reliable stop!

The special for the day wasn't ready so we had to wait or order something different. We got charged for a side that should included in the special. We both had water but it wasn't refilled so we had nothing to drink. Our server had a large round table because the coworker didn't want to serve the customers. All I ordered was chicken noodle soup for dinner. When it came it was a cup with very small amount of noodles or chicken. Mostly broth. We were charged for a side. We were very disappointed in the over all experience. read more

This location in Bowling Green, Ohio, is located off I-65 and state Rt 231. I found it a little tricky to get back to the entrance off Mel Browning street. It is tucked back but visible from the interstate. Plenty of parking and it wasn't too busy. Just walking through the doors into the general store brought back so many memories. The inside was fun to walk through and look at all the stuff you really don't need but so much you never knew you wanted. I was promptly seated, but the service was so slow. Every single thing about it from checking a menu, beverage refills, to getting the check but I had the best waitress. The waitress was super friendly and helpful. I had mentioned how I was looking for a marinated chicken tenderloin sandwich on grilled sourdough bread that I used to enjoy and she had mentioned it had not been on the menu for quite some time. No suprise as how long it's been. She had the perfect solution and said we can make it that they still offer everything and she can place the order in a way I can just assemble it and still get my sandwich. For the two sides, I got two portions of the cheesy potato casserole that has always been a favorite. All of this was a great choice and I appreciated the server suggesting the workaround and our conversations in general. I was super excited about this and ended up with some leftover marinated chicken tenders to go. I had chosen not to eat at the chain in the past due to LGBTQ discrimination hiring policys and treatment of employees from the 90's. I have not eaten at a Cracker Barrel in decades and maybe once since then but it's been well over 15 years. The company overall has imporved its positioning and employee relations and I chose to give it a try again. Cracker Barrel was always something special for us on long road trips of the 80' & early 90's so it was fun to treat myself to a visit. A lot of nostalgia from trips with my parents, grandma, and relatives. It was always something special and brought back good memories this visit. I would eat here again and the service was great (but slow) and if they don't have exactly what you are looking for on the menu, it never hurts to ask. read more

Within a very short time, their service and attitude towards customers have really took a dive. It's not an enjoyable time to eat there any more. We ate there often during this year, but not any more. Sad! read more

We came in for dinner as a large bus load of people were leaving. Despite the large crowd, the restaurant was clean. We were greeted warmly be the hostess and our server Ashley was efficient and friendly. The food was hot and delicious. read more

I will start off by saying the service was excellent. The server was very friendly and very attentive. I ordered the mama's pancake breakfast. The pancakes were excellent, and I added apples to them and they turned out great. The eggs were a surprise they were supposed to be over medium but were over easy at best and one of the yolks were broken, which really surprised me I didn't say anything. They ended up bringing me another egg, but it was also very undercooked it had Whites that weren't even cooked on it. The bacon was also significantly undercooked and very un appetizing. read more

Terrible! Burnt food, greasy plate and I stated this to the waitress, her response, yup. I tried their biscuits and gravy, also terrible, cold and thick as mortar. Never, ever again. read more

Keep driving. Went there tonight. Haden't been to one in years. Got seated promptly and drinks only to wait 15-20 minutes to place our order. Waited what seemed like a long time for our food while others came in, ordered, and got their food. Then when it came time to pay our waitress, Annabelle I think, said she would get our bill. Waited 15 minutes before standing and having another waitress ask if she could help me. I told her I've been waiting for our bill. She went into the back and I heard some loud talking. Our waitress finally returned with our bill. Also my meal was barely warm. read more

The first clue should be the empty parking lot. But we went in anyways because we have always loved Cracker Barrel, and especially the Findlay Ohio location. The prices changed, and not for the better. The ambiance changed, and not for the better. Ten people eating in a dining room built for 150 is pretty gloomy, and Cracker Barrel's dining rooms are already dark and gloomy to begin with. The menu changed, and not for the better. I've been a HUGE Cracker Barrel pot roast fan for decades, often leaving the restaurant almost ill from eating too much. Not anymore. Portion sizes are smaller (for a higher price) on smaller plates and the pot roast is more like over cooked flank steak not the fork tender pot roast of the "old" Cracker Barrel. The service was as expected when the greeter was also the server, one person doing two jobs. This review trends negative not based on the Findlay Ohio location's flaws but on the Cracker Barrel Company's flaws, which for us are fatal. We won't be back. read more

You can never go wrong being at any Cracker Barrel. A real country style homey feeling, from the large porch with the rocking chairs to the inside dining area with one of the largest real firewood fireplaces and of course the homestyle cooking. No matter what meal you order, whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, you will not be disappointed. The best part is you can have breakfast for dinner or dinner for breakfast. Just enjoy your meal and on your way out don't forget to shop for ole fashion candy or something nice to wear, from jewelry to clothing. read more

This was the worst meal my wife and I have had to endure in years. I normally have to become physically ill to award a 1 star, but I will make an exception in this case. We have visited this restaurant in the past with mixed but passible results. But this time, it was just horrible. I ordered a beef stew side/starter that was okay, and a french dip as an entree. My wife order the grill rainbow trout. The french dip was completely flavorless, had a few ounces of dried beef, and stuffed with grilled onions. My wife's rainbow trout came out as small, dried up, pan fried pieces of chicken tenders. The service leaves a good deal to be desired as well. read more

Please don't do it. Don't eat here. This was the nastiest thing I've ever bit into. They are serving food not cooked. The manager gave me a full refund and offered a coupon for the next time which we did not care to go back and take her up on that offer. The manager claimed to better train the cooks and other staff as I ordered the chicken fried chicken and received what they said was a country fried steak. Gagging whenever we see a Cracker Barrel sign now. read more

The waitresses here are absolutely horrid. The food at Cracker Barrel is always great, and I've loved it for years. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal. I typically am not a fan of chain restaurants, but CB makes me feel like Mom is cooking. I always get the same thing, (boring, I know know) but the roast beef dinner is so damn tasty. The hash brown casserole is one of the best side dishes ever created, and could be consumed as an entree by itself. I get the hash cass for all three of my sides; every time. The waitress loomed as we were sitting down, getting situated, and I told her we needed a minute to get our small child into fighting position. She walked off, and we didn't talk to another server for 15 minutes. The one that finally came was someone different, and told us no one knew who was supposed to take our table. She then forgot a drink, and biscuits, and was slow the whole time. Not very friendly, either. As a whole, I love the food, and the service is typically friendly, but this location lacks the typically-stellar service of the rest of the CBs across the nation. read more

I was headed up North and we stopped at this Cracker Barrel for lunch. Everyone was starving bc we hadn't brought any snacks for the trip. We were seated quickly and our order was taken just as fast. That's where the speed abruptly ended! We waited a good 30 minutes for our food! The restaurant wasn't even crowded at all. Finally our waiter ambled back with our food. My eggs were cold and the gravy was like paste! It was so thick, you had to sling it off the spoon!! I also got only one biscuit with my order (Uncle Hershel's Favorite)! Had I not been so hungry, I would have sent that awful food back and went somewhere else! read more

They have gone downhill. Staff is not helpful or caring. Would not recommend any Cracker Barrel any more.

Disappointed . The waitress was super sweet and kept me from getting up and walking out. I asked for a medium well sirloin steak. It was pouring red blood onto my broccoli. Sent it back and cut into it a second time and it was bleeding onto my broccoli again. SMH..the sweet waitress got me some chicken tenders and they were not bleeding. read more

I used their online system to add a party of two to the waitlist and I was given a 10-15 minute wait. I arrived in 15 minutes and then was told I had to wait an additional 25 minutes so essentially waisted time going online. A supervisor should be auditing this system for effectiveness. read more

went to the Findlay Ohio cracker barrel today for breakfast with my grandson the restaurant was about half full the hostess sat at table The server just started a table of 14 people it took her forever to get our order then when they came out everything was cold like it had been sitting back there I don't understand why they would put us at that table when she was so busy four or five families came in after us most of them were leaving when we just got served I would not give this restaurant more than one store and that's too much the next time I want to take my grandson to breakfast it definitely will not be at this Cracker Barrel or lotta restaurants in Findlay Ohio they get decent service the food was good but cold the waitress did the best she could no one offered help even though they weren't that busy thank you for your time W L D from Findlay Ohio read more

I was very disappointed. This used to be a very good place to eat before covid. The waitress was new and she tried her best but the kitchen needs improvement. Our orders were wrong and items were forgotten. One order was supposed to be topped with gravy and sautéed onion. The onions that came were a joke. We had an order to go which was actually correct but the cornbread looked like one piece broken in half. When paying our pill the cashier asked how our meal was. My husband said very disappointing. Her reply was oh I'm sorry, would you like your receipt. I don't expect this Cracker Barrel to improve anytime soon. I don't believe the new employees are being trained properly. read more

Chester is at the ole' barrel on this lovely evening, the service was overwhelmingly spectacular. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by welcoming smiles and endless support for your purchases. I was seated rather quickly and my sever was wonderful, he had an amazing sense of humor and a love for his job. Our food was even better, came out quickly and delicious. He even gave us not Kraft mac and cheese, but homemade mac and cheese which melted in my mouth, like my grandchildren say " that food slapped." Overall had a splendid experience that I hope every customer gets. Thank you Cracker Barrel. read more

We went to Cracker Barrel for dinner, and our server Jimmy was a very nice guy. He greeted us with a smile and asked us about our day. He answered all of our questions and was very patient. 10/10! The food was also excellent read more

The service was decent. However the food was mid at best. The gravy tasted like hot dog water boiled over an open fire. Ordered onions in scrambled eggs they put raw onions on them instead of cooking them in. The steak burger was horrible. It all was just unseasoned definitely not the date night we hoped for. Won't be returning. And the old white people in there (including staff) look like they have never seen a black man in there lives. Very disappointed! read more

I can't comment on the food but the service was nonexistent. We arrived for breakfast at 7:15 or so on a Thursday morning and found only a handful of cars in the parking lot. Upon entering the restaurant there were two employees milling about the retail area as we made our way to the hostess stand. There were three tables occupied that we could see and no staff. The employees in the retail area ignored us and no one showed up to seat us. As time passed, we got irritated and left without saying a word. The staff in the retail area appeared to hide from us as we walked out to make sure we didn't ask them for anything. I visit Cracker Barrel restaurants as I travel and have never experienced this before. I don't plan to return to this location. There are plenty of other choices in the area. read more
