I met Chris at the Montclair farmer's market and picked up his business card. Called him and he came out the next week and did a fantastic job cleaning out our gutters and his price was VERY reasonable. I didn't realize how much debris was in our gutters until I got on his ladder and took a look. It's one of those tough jobs that would've taken me an entire Saturday and Chris got up on our roof and knocked it out in about 2 hours. Now we'll have much peace of mind this rainy season. My husband and I have worked with Chris two times now and we cannot be happier with his services. Last year, we had him clean and repair our gutters and he did a fantastic job. Not only were our gutters in mint condition for the rainy season, but he also took the time to clear the debris and dirt after he was done working. We contacted CR gutters to evaluate our gutter and downspouts situations. Christopher came and did a thorough examination and explained to me his thoughts and all of our options. I had two other contractors' opinions before contacting Chris and honestly what the previous two suggested did not make sense to me as they wanted to do the easy part of the job without solving the problem. I right away knew I had to go with Chris as his thoughts and evaluations were exactly aligned with what was happening. I ended up choosing the full replacement option and his quota for that option was very reasonable given how much work was needed for a house located on a steep part of Oakland Hills. He and his crew were on time on every day of work and did an excellent job on replacing gutters and downspouts. The quality of finishing was particularly impressive as we have dealt with so many contractors before and that's the part that is almost always mediocre at best. I had some sections of gutter along the back of my house that had been eroded by tree debris over the years. After putting off the repair, I called a couple of companies for a quote of effort and cost. Chris was extremely responsive and professional. He was able to visit my home within a day of my call, discuss multiple options for my project and send a professional quote the same day. The workers came today during the forecasted time and replaced and removed the old gutters, cleaned all existing gutters and downspouts and left the place in cleaner condition than they found it. I called Chris on a drizzly day in somewhat of a panic because my gutters hadn't been cleaned in years. He came over right away that morning, assessed the situation, offered me a very reasonable price and did the job in less than 2 hours. Chris Seeger and his crew from CR Gutters recently performed gutter repairs and cleaning on our two story home in Walnut Creek. The upper gutters hadn't been cleaned, but once or twice since they were installed 14 years ago and all the gutters were heavily laden with debris from a heritage oak in the front yard and a Chinese elm in the back. There were even small oak trees and weeds growing in the gutters in several places. A section of gutters had pulled away from the house and other places the gutters had become uneven and water missed the gutters altogether. Chris came out to inspect the condition and gave us options for repairs, and a detailed cost estimate. He reattached the gutters with proper screws to hold the gutters in place, something that the original contractor who installed them had not done. His crew used long ladders that they positioned so as not to damage the gutters or roof. They were also very safety conscious which is a relief because our roofs are steeply pitched particularly on the second floor. CR Gutters installed catch screen baskets to prevent the downspouts from clogging with debris, straightened and properly attached all the gutters completely solving the problems we had had for the last 10 years where water missed the gutters near our front door. With the heavy rains since CR Gutters did their work, our gutters are now working perfectly. Chris even washed off my solar panels with a hose while they were doing their work on our home for no extra charge per my request. I had a very positive experience with CR Gutters. I had sought out three bids for new gutters from various local merchants, including a roofing business. CR came in competitively on the bid did an excellent job in the time-frame Chris quoted. CR was recommended to me by another local merchant who has cleaned my gutters and windows in the past. I took this recommendation seriously as I suspect a business who cleans gutters knows first hand of quality work. The other companies bidding 'hid' the pricing of paining the exterior of the gutters; CR was up front about everything it would take to get the new gutters painted and approved by my HOA and the pros/cons of aluminum vs. steel. We needed someone to come out and fix two problem areas and clean our gutters. I called this company and they were very easy to schedule an appointment. Chris was highly professional. Very knowledgeable on how to fix our issues as well as make recommendations on how to correct some past issues we thought were fixed with a prior contractor. We were able to see photos of the problems of our roof and gutters so we could discuss what was needed to be done. The great thing is he emailed me the photos of the issues before and then after he completed the work. That puts your mind at ease since you can't climb up on the roof yourself to see the problems. We had several areas that were very problematic. The quote he gave us was extremely reasonable for the amount of time he put into our home. Overall, Chris worked with us on a solution that would remedy our roofing and gutters. We are truly happy with the service we received. The gutters on my garage collapsed during the storms. It took a while for Chris to get out to look at the job (this is a very busy time for him), but it was well worth the wait. He was knowledgeable and helpful in his proposal and he gave me a number of options that I appreciated. I particularly appreciated what he recommended as I had already received a proposal from another company to replace the entire system. Chris showed me that parts could be reused and replacing the wood supports that the previous guy said had to be done, didn't.
