The place itself is clean and pink. I love the aesthetic, but the experience of getting a Brazilian wax was traumatizing. The esthetician, Natalie, was not gentle and seemed very upset when I needed to take breaks. She just kept going and telling me to hold my skin. Out of annoyance, she asked me several times if I wanted to continue (rolling her eyes). I understand that waxing is difficult but I think with it being a vulnerable experience (everything out in the open), it could've been handled with more caution. I was in pain the ENTIRE time, to the point of crying. The esthetician did not show any concern for the pain I was in. Even the way she sprinkled the powder was aggressive. I hope accountability is taken and reviewed. Overall, I don't see myself coming back here due to my experience. I hope to try sugaring at a place with more care and kindness.

The table was disinfected after I was done, and the pink cover was replaced with a new clean one. I love how this place is so clean. Debbie was nice and soft but that wasn't I was expecting in the massage. Very soft. The massage is not that cheap. It's $109 for an hour. Though I keep getting text messages of confirmation of my booking but they never mentioned that my therapist is not available today else I could have rescheduled for tomorrow. I spoke to a person at the front desk who seems not bothered by whatever you say he was just there to making bookings. On top of that I gave a tip in cash for the therapist. I received a gift card for my birthday in 4/2024 for this salon (previously BCBC Nails), and I hadn't gotten a chance to use it because I was heavily pregnant at the time, then had the baby (my second), and did not have any time to come get my nails done professionally. The Yelp page for BCBC Nails is still up with their current phone number and location. I specifically organized my day yesterday so I could have 1.5 hours to get my nails done between work and picking up my kids from childcare to go to this specific salon because I had a gift card. I presented my gift card to the receptionist and was told they couldn't take it because they had a new owner. I was told that the salon sold a year ago, and they only honored old gift cards up to 6 months post the sale. But the only way they told people this was either in person, or a sign on their door. I will state again, I have not gotten my nails done professionally in over a year, and therefore would not have known this. I honestly would have left and gone elsewhere, but I didn't have the time to waste to do that, so I still got my nails done there. My pedicure was fine, but my manicurist did not seem very seasoned and also did not speak much English at all, so I needed someone to help translate for almost the entire time. My nails are disappointing and it took almost two hours. I'm going to my brother's wedding on Thursday in NY, and I should've just waited to get my nails done there. Extremely unhappy and I will not be coming back here.
