Every set I've gotten from him has been clean, perfectly shaped, and exactly what I asked for--sometimes even better than my inspo( hehehe ). I was a very loyal client here for over 2 years. I've spent thousands of dollars in manicures at Nail 45. The first time I decided to get a pedicure at Nail 45, they gave me infections on both big toes because they use unsterile instruments. It's been two months and I'm still dealing with urgent care visits, podiatrist appointments, and antibiotics because of it. What made it worse was management's response. They were dismissive to refund $40 for an infection they caused despite how much I've spent there, and only took it seriously after I mentioned I would contact the health department. Since then, I've found out multiple friends, as well as other yelp reviewers also experienced infections after pedicures here. That's not a coincidence. It's a shame, but I can't recommend this salon anymore. My health is more important. read more

I came in for a regular gel manicure, which was clearly listed at a certain price, but they claimed I had "bio gel" and charged me way more without explaining it beforehand. My total was supposed to be $81, but they charged me $117! To make it even worse, I got my nails done for my BIRTHDAY, and four nails broke the very next day. I've never had that happen with any other salon. I feel completely ripped off and disappointed -- this was supposed to be a treat for myself, and instead it ruined my birthday!!!! I'm out of the country and can't go get them fixed I will never come back here and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. He was so rushed to move on to the next client that he didn't properly file my nails or do a complete manicure. When I pointed out that the filing wasn't straight, he blamed my nail shape instead. Unsurprisingly, one of my nails chipped the very next day. I went back on Monday to get it fixed, but the front desk lady (Lynn) refused to help. She said there was "no one to fix this one nail," even after I said I was willing to wait. I even asked about coming back the next day, and she still refused. While I've always been happy with the quality of the work, I can no longer overlook the consistent pattern of upcharging and lack of transparency in their pricing. One of the biggest issues I've encountered has been around the kids' mani/pedi services. The price is listed as $35, yet on multiple occasions they've attempted to charge me $45 simply because my 9- and 10-year-old daughters were seated in adult chairs when the two designated kiddie chairs were unavailable. The service remained exactly the same--basic soaking and polish--yet they insisted on charging $10 more per child just for the chair. I've had to repeatedly advocate for myself and push back against these unnecessary fees. Additionally, I come in regularly for a Bio Gel fill with a French tip and gel pedicure--services that are clearly priced at $55 each. Despite getting the exact same services every time, my total has mysteriously increased over time from $102 to $110, and most recently to $138, before tip. I always tip well ($15-$20 for Justin, $10-$15 for Holly), but I draw the line at being taken advantage of. I've even had to question the charges in the past, and it's become clear that they are hoping clients either won't notice or won't say anything. As someone in the beauty industry myself, I understand pricing and service structures, and this experience has been disappointing--not because of the service quality, but because of the lack of honesty and respect shown in how they handle their pricing. Unfortunately, after this last visit on July 17th, I let them know I will no longer be returning. It's frustrating to feel like a loyal client is being taken for granted. If you choose to visit Nail 45, I recommend double-checking your receipt and confirming pricing before services begin--especially if you're bringing children.
