That's me kneading dough
Elizabeth G.

What a great experience! Cozy meal just made its way to south Florida and I'm so excited they have. We made homemade pasta with Chef Nunzio and couldn't have had a better time. They location was a beautiful penthouse with huge windows looking toward downtown Miami and and long custom wood family style dining table. Chef brought quality ingredients and supplies and walked us through every step teaching us a thing or two along the way. The end result was delish.. and though we mixed the flour, kneaded the dough, and even cut the noodles, Chef Nunzio gets the credit. He also served up some of the most delicious truffle ravioli I've ever gotten my hungry little hands on! + sent us home with some dough and noodles to experiment with on our own. I would definitely take another cooking class.. not because I want to be able to go home and make pasta like a pro, but for the experience. Definitely a great date night or group outing to do something besides just go to a restaurant. Tip- byow (bring your own wine) and maybe music

All you need to make your own pasta

A cooking class was on my bucket list, and Cozymel was like a gift from heaven ! The location was great since it was a penthouse at a residential building in North Miami. Immediately, this takes the pressure out of the word "class" as it makes the experience very intimate and enjoyable. Even if you are Sharing the experience with people you never meet before, it becomes a friends gathering very quickly! A large farm like table is set up in the middle of the venue right on front an open kitchen, which makes the transition and movement from the kitchen to dinner very organic and fun. Chef Nunzio; that Italian dude rocks ! He has a great personality and would answer all our questions not only about technique but also history. Not only is he Italian, ( you know, where pasta is from), but he also trained for many years to become a pasta chef. We started the class by making a garden salad and we learned a few secrets to keep the greens crunchy and cut the veggies in the most perfect way with minimum effort (sorry guys, Can't share! You'll have to experience it yourself ). Then, Chef Nunzio shared his recipe for a home made citrus vinaigrette. We haven't even got to the pasta and we were winning already! Now, be prepared to get your hand dirty ! Remember that long table we talk about earlier? Well, there is a spot for you with all the ingredients and utensils you need to make your own past from scratch. Yep, you get your own 0-0 flower, mix that with eggs, semolina flower and then, give a firm massage to that dough. After Cher Nunzio has verified your work holds to real Italian standards, you will make it very flat using a pasta machine before it gets to be pan. Honestly, I learned a lot of things about the process of and the know how. It makes me respect and appreciate all the chefs and restaurants that take the time to make pasta in house just to keep the tradition and integrity of the flavor. Next thing you know, il cibo è pronto! (Food is ready). We sat, we laugh, had some wine and enjoyed the most wonderful pasta made by all of us. A group of strangers cook and dine together and shared their love for food while learning about its tradition and origin. What a great experience Cozymeal! Can't wait to be back.

I had the pleasure of attending a cooking class with the lovely Chef Anna! Her plant-based Italian 4-course meal included Watermelon Gazpacho, Raw Zucchini Lasagna, Cauliflower Risotto with wild mushrooms & a Raw Cheesecake for dessert. It was such a unique & special experience! Chef Anna is pure sunshine (as is her beautiful daughter, Ellie, who I met after our meal) and so much fun to work with. The hands on techniques & flavour combinations she taught my friend & I will stick with me for years to come. I always assumed that vegan cooking was out of my realm because of the vast ingredients necessary. Not so! All you really need is a food processor & some excellent ingredients. Once we finished our meal, we were seated on her penthouse balcony overlooking Biscayne Bay to enjoy. Chef Anna was so warm, friendly & knowledgeable. It was truly a treat & I look forward to attending another class soon! Bravo, Chef Anna! Bravo!

I have been to a few cooking classes, and none of them have compared to my interactive cooking class experience at Cozymeal. Chef Nunzio was passionate, friendly, and down to earth. The space was clean , airy and had wonderful views of the bay and downtown Miami. As you walk in you are immediately greeted with a beautifully decorated long farm table, lush hanging greenery, and an apron with each place setting. This experience is BYOB, so make sure to bring your own wine (or beer) ! Chef Nunzio started the meal by creating a nice garden salad with a homemade a citrus vinaigrette with oranges & lemons . This is one recipe I can't wait to try making at home. After the salad, we began the pasta making process by mixing the dough with our hands, rolling it, and flattening it. Chef explained each detail of the process and taught us different ways to cut & store fresh pasta. He also went around and checked the consistency of our dough to make sure it was perfect! We made a mushroom ragout & then watched the chef make us the most DELICIOUS truffle ricotta ravioli. The ravioli was hands down the BEST ravioli I've ever had in my entire life. We finished the dinner with a strawberry chocolate mousse. I enjoyed each course so much , and would gladly do it again with a group of friends or co-workers! Thanks for such a wonderful evening, Cozymeal!

Chef John is amazing.

Chef John was informative, entertaining and he made the evening an incredible experience. To top it off his Mexican menu was amazing. My wife is vegan and he was able to adjust on the spot to satisfy us both. I recommend you give Chef John a chance, you will not be disappointed.

Phenomenal way to meet new people! This experience deserves every star. We arrived wondering how this class would be and even how the food would taste if we made it haha but i must say that making the pasta from scratch with an expert chef explaining in detail the whys and hows of pasta making was an incredible experience. Chef Nunzio from two chefs are better than one, was magnificent, funny, passionate and the class was organized with recipes, portions, utensils, and dinner reservations! We started out with a fresh salad and proceeded to Our main menu: FRESH PASTA!!! The class was s fun and engaging. We had truffle ricotta ravioli that were just exquisite. The filling was rich and had the perfect flavor. We all went home with fresh pasta dough! This is certainly a great idea for outings, corporate events, romantic dates and better yet, a great way to meet new people who enjoy food snd share a passion for local delicacies and small business. The service was superb and the attention to detail was also wonderful. Would definitely recommend this !!

The food we needed to chop was already prepped and organized into individual bowls. We each had our own cutting board and knife. Everything was well planned, organized, and executed. We ended up making spinach empanadas, shrimp ceviche, and lomo saltado. Everything we made was delicious. The staff took care of all of the cleanup and the chef walked around filling our cups with more wine or champagne if we so desired. All in all we had an amazing night and would definitely return. I would 100% recommend this class to anyone beginners to advanced it's such a great time. A great date night idea as well. So we started the night with some red sangria and ended with white sangria; as for the menu for the night it was tapas, seafood paella and sangria. We had octopus with chimichurri (I'm a very picky eater and I usually don't eat seafood and omg it was SPECTACULAR). We also had garlic grilled lamb chops with mint edamame hummus salad, Brussels sprout salad , chicken kabobs with potato salad, seafood paella, bacon wrapped shrimp everything was delicious. Chef David was amazing he helped us with anything we needed from how to chop onions to cutting lamb chops to cooking octopus. I was astonished after we finished cooking everything we all sat together and ate and talked it was nice like a family dinner (it was a class of about 12 of us we all cooked something different so at the end we all sat down to try everything we all made together). Almost forgot! dessert was given at the end we didn't make it but was so delicious caramel, chocolate, and coffee all mixed just look at the picture. I don't know the name of it sorry. Ayesha's energy is so contagious, we are all excited to get to cooking! This cooking class is not your usual cooking class. Instead of partnering with someone to cook each meal, everyone kind of just broke up in to groups and focused on different dishes. It was a bit chaotic but so much fun! Who knew cooking along a group of strangers in a strangers home could be so effortless? Ayesha made everything very easy. I attended the This Is It - Lamb course. We cooked a delicious salad, okra, lamb kebabs and lamb Rogan Josh. Every bite of each dish was out of this world. The food was lighter than Indian cuisine I've had in the past, I noticed she didn't use nearly as much cream as some recipes I've seen. Ayesha also taught us plenty about Indian spices and their multifunctionality. It's too bad that Ayesha lives all the way in Kendall. If she lived closer, I'd be over all of the time! I swear I don't even feel like I'm in Miami when I am at her house (where the classes are held). From the moment you walk in through the door, you are greeted as if you have been friends forever. Amber definitely has the personality to teach these classes - she makes you feel comfortable, very personable, and she's EXTREMELY knowledgeable about everything she makes and all the ingredients she uses.
