Great concept, friendly staff and clean and efficient operation. We enjoyed ourselves and got to eat some of what we prepared in our pasta making class. We learned to make linguini and ravioli (could've been cooked a tad longer). The star is not there because the experience would've been complete with a couple of small details. I offer this not as negative feedback but as a constructive one. It was a class in pasta making and yet, the music that played through a bluetooth speaker on the floor was some obscure alternative rock which did not go with the theme. My second point is more of a suggestion. Why not have a party favor of some sort at the end of the class? A couple of Italian cookies (which could be used as a selling pitch for a baking class), a wooden utensil, the apron used during the class. Anything. A small token of appreciation which could cost less than a dollar. Instead, the class ended unceremoniously ad we all walked out towards the parking lot with little other than our phone pics. We had a wonderful experience at Taste Buds kitchen! I took my 2 year old for a class on a Sunday and she loved it. We were asked to move because large party came along but that wasn't a big deal. The kids made lasagna "cupcakes" which were very tasty. The instructions were very simple to follow but it was just a bit difficult to hear because of other parents talking and having side conversations. I also liked that there was a story time while the lasagna was baking. There was a group of about 10 kids who were there together and the parents were just so loud that it was difficult to hear the instructions while cooking and it was difficult for the kids to listen while they were read a story. I wish the staff would have said something for them to tone their voices down a notch. read more

We were looking for a fun date night activity when my cousin recommended the pasta making class. The tickets were for sale in pairs so you'd need a partner to participate. Upon arrival, the space looked very cute and clean. Each table had 4 people, which was fine. However we were extremely disappointed to discover that we would be working in groups of 4 instead of in pairs. I did not get the full experience of making the dough or the sauce because the tasks were divided amongst 4 people. The materials provided was to make ONE dough , amongst 4 people, in a pasta making class! The instructor was not the most friendly or entertaining. The other staff were also baking cupcakes to prep for the next morning's class. No one really came around to the table to check up on us while we preparing the pasta. We made ravioli (2 different filings), bolognese sauce, and fettuccine was provided. They boil your ravioli for you. Overall, the experience was not anything to rave about. I think the experience could be enhanced if we worked in pairs and more attentive staff. read more

Had a great experience cooking with these lovely ladies! We had a Friday night reservation for tapa classes. Overall it was a nice Friday night spent. Dishes were pretty basic. Dishes would had benefited with additional complexity. We made meatballs, empanadas and potatoes. Bring more than 1 bottle of wine. We were there 3 hours and only had one which we went through quickly while we were preparing the food. Would had been nice to have another one while we ate. I absolutely loved this class, from the begging to end. This was the first time I went to a TBK cooking class. This location in Miami West, was great in every single way, from their neat floors, shelves, cooking tools, silverware, aprons, and everything else. Once you make your reservation, they send you an email with the instructions and FAQ. I didn't want to, but you can BYOB and the other couples that went, took their wine and beer. They are a nut-free​ kitchen and they printed for us the recipes​ we made and gave them to us at the end of the class. They also offer kids classes as they were telling us. The one we took, was ​Thai cuisine​ and we learn to make three different things, ​pineapple​ chicken satay, veggie summer rolls, and pad thai (which​ was​ my favoooooorite). The spotless tables with apron​​s were prepared for us to cook. Each time we cooked something, one of the three ladies working non-stop, cleaned and disinfected​ our place so we could continue cooking. We were called to the main counter, where the woman teaching us told us step by step what to do. Then we went to our tables and started cooking. Most of the times we worked as a team and that was great, because I met new people​, had fun with them as we were cooking, and enjoying their nice background​ music. Once we finish each plate, we ate and at the end of the night, ​they even gave us containers to take home leftovers. As you can read and see in my pictures, I was very happy, with the service, with the delicious food we made, and mostly for the impeccable organization of this fun activity. Thank you!! Decided to book a private cooking class for my best lady friends as a Christmas gift. So so so glad I found this place. We had the best time. Beatriz led our class and we had a blast learning to make pasta from scratch. She made it easy to learn. We made fettuccini with tomato sauce, spinach ravioli, and butternut squash ravioli. We brought our own Prosecco and sipped while we cooked, which made everything more fun of course. The location is warm and cozy and Beatriz was super kind and hospitable. There were obvious measures taken to keep everything sanitized and maintain CDC guidelines, so we were able to safely enjoy. We are here for a soft opening and it has been so much fun. The kids made chocolate zucchini muffins. Each of the kids got to mix all of the ingredients mixed the dry and wet ingredients separate. It was so cute. They each had to guess all of the ingredients. Then they put the mini muffins all in a bowl,mixed it and put it in the pan. While the muffins were baking we played a fun game called "don't eat Pete." The muffins came out great and both my chicks actually ate Zucchini!!! I consider this a great success!! read more

Great date night idea! The class started at 7:30pm taking place at a really nice kitchen in the Miami. The Chef gave us a brief history of the meal we were going to make, the different types, and the cultural aspects of the food. The best part in this class was that as she would describe a type of food. There isn't a better way of learning about food when you can actually taste it. Before the cooking portion of the experience, she went around and presented the tasks, and each person chose to the tasks they were interested in. The kitchen was very nice, and spacious. This really helped me appreciate all the prep work needed to prepare a superb meal, we all worked together and I had a lot of fun not only with my girlfriend. We bonded with the other couples sitting with us and we had a blast. I have become a huge fan of the Taste Buds concept and will be doing more cooking classes, exploring my favorite meals. I think it's a great opportunity for a date and, if you want to get to know your team members at work better, you can book one of their team building activities. My boyfriend took me to Taste Buds Kitchen and it was a really fun, different date idea. The cooking instructor gave us step by step instructions on how to make everything for our appetizer, main course and dessert. Our theme was "Cooking with Beer" which was unlike anything I've cooked at home so even though I know how to cook, this enabled me to try something different and I was pleasantly surprised. Letting us bring our own alcohol to drink while we were cooking was a bonus. We celebrated my daughter's 8th. birthday here and what an amazing idea I had; she and her friends had a blast! Beatriz, the owner, helped me from the beginning to the end with professionalism and care and everything by the phone and by email (I just met the place the day of the event). After I had the conversation via phone with her and paid the deposit with credit card, she sent me all the paper work by email and the waivers for all the guests as well. We choose the American Menu for children to cook: Cheese Pizza, Fried Zucchini and Vanilla Cupcakes w/frosting and sprinkles, and they did everything from scratch. The place is very neat, clean and has a modern cuisine look which I loved it. The owner and the staff were there all the time, teaching the kids and taking care that everyone has the experience of cooking. It was a 2- hour long celebration and at first I thought they wouldn't have time to cook the 3 dishes, but for my surprise they did all, even they had the time to eat the food they cooked, and to run around a little bit before they sang the 'Happy Birthday' and eat the cake (which they almost didn't because they were full with their own food :)). The package I bought included the 3 dishes, plates, napkins, cups and fresh water. I added the Keurig cafe machine which has an additional cost of $40; also I brought some snacks for the parents and beverages (they recommend nut free food). The place is located at a 1st. floor in a shopping mall, but you can go up by elevator. Keep this in mind if you have a lot of stuff like balloons or food to bring. The parking lot is big and free so you can't have a problem finding space. We went on a Saturday afternoon and we parked quickly. I'm really glad I found this place for my daughter's special day. This was the BEST experience that almost didn't happen. My group of friends were looking to do something different for the holidays. I googled group cooking and Taste Buds popped up. When I called and spoke to Beatrice she was extremely nice and helpful that proceeded to reserve and book our event before I realized they were located in Kendal . My Friends all live in Fort Lauderdale (over 1 hour drive) but because of Beatrice kindness and cooking options we decided to venture out. The evening was GREATTTT!!!! Our instructor Gabby was very patient, knowledgeable and a great teacher helping us cook.. It was a relaxed atmosphere that allowed us to cook and talk and BYOB.. We did the Mexican tacos, guacamole with Mexican corn. We made tortillas from scratch along with the tortillas chips. Everything was delicious and perfect. This is such a cute place for a kiddo birthday party! It was an awesome place for a dozen 5-yr old girls to make pizza (from scratch! In heart and star shapes! And it was actually really tasty!) color chefs' hats, run around, and generally have a blast. During the process, I already loved the owner because she was so helpful and accommodating to all my questions and ideas. I chose the Mexican Fiesta cooking class for about 11 of my close friends-- and not only was everything delicious, but Beatriz (the owner) (who by the way is the SWEETEST person ever) and her staff went above and beyond to make it special.
