Planned our work Christmas party here. We had no theme so we asked them to pick and they did a great job with the decorations. Very pretty places to take photos. They served appetizers, they were ok to be honest you can get them in the frozen food section at costco but the did have a Guava pastry that was good. We asked when planning if they had liquor and was it tip shelf and they did say yes but when we got there it was not. There was nothing that was top shelf. We had the option of chicken or beef, the food was not very good the rice was the worst. I feel this might have been a one off because my coworker had a better experience prior to our event. Overall we had a good time, our bartender was really nice and did keep the drinks flowing and the dj had us on the dance floor all night. 1pm baby shower did not start till 2:40pm. Bar staff was rude. Person came around collecting charger plates before party "started!" Music was so loud you couldn't hold a conversation. I asked for coffee there was no coffee. The nice lady went & got me an employee coffee. read more

I want to express how pleased my family and I are for the baby shower that was thrown on Sunday, Oct. 6th. The staff was pleasant and accommodating, especially Enrique who managed the event, and our DJ Omar. Every request was fulfilled and all of the guests raved about how amazing the food was! I ate all of my plate, lol. We ordered the grilled chicken breast, mashed potatoes, and mixed vegetables. Also, the bartender was very efficient as he was the only one working the bar. The flow throughout the party was seamless! Overall, they all did a fantastic job and we will all definitely recommend this business to others in the future! I came here for a school banquet. The inside is nice but it was not the greatest experience. The staff was not knowledgable enough to tell me what appetizer was on the plate they were serving. I had to convince him it was a cheese stick... The worst part was we specifically told them we had a person coming to the banquet that was very allergic to nuts. They confirmed no nuts were used in the meal. The meal comes out and it's chicken, potatoes and rice. The rice was full of chopped almonds. Our guest could not eat the rice or anything else because they couldn't guarantee nuts hadn't touched the other foods. Had my friend of tried the rice she would of had a serious outbreak. This place needs to get their stuff together. read more

I just recently had my mother's 70th birthday party here and I have to say I would never do another function here. They are a bunch of crooks. The food taste just like food you get on a plane if not worse. I paid for 3hrs open bar and everytime we turned around the bar was closed. I truly did not get the 3hrs of open bar that I paid for. The side salad is exactly the same amount of lettuce and tomato you put on a burger. The DJ played the same music over and over. These owners are definitely not customer service friendly. All they care about is the money and nothing else. I whole heartily don't recommend this place to anyone. read more

HORRIBLE!!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE!! We are using this venue for the wedding this month. The hall is very beautiful, but the sales person and the owner are only out to get your money. They forced us to pay fees that were not in the contract under the threat that they would cancel the event and keep all we had paid. These people do not want to help the customer, when we asked them to lower a fee, the salesperson told us to work over time (Really??!!). Although, the venue is advertised as all inclusive, if you decide to bring your own vendors (in our case, professional family friends desirous to help) they will charge you a setup fee, even if its not in the contract or ever mentioned. Fees are not explained, or even mentioned until they find a way to charge. They have made me feel cheated, ripped off and added stress and money loss to a very nerve racking process. The day of the wedding they did NOT turn on the A/C. My guests were hot and sweaty!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE CAKE MELTED!!! The event staff member did not know how to turn on the A/C and one of my friends had to turn it on!!!! I repeatedly asked them to dim the lights, so that the candle decor would glow- they continually turned the lights back on. This is the WORST banquet hall ever. I regret having chosen them. Everyone, from David the owner to Lety, the one who handles the events, are taking this place downhill. The reviews used to be great, but this is one hot mess and on its way to close. read more

I was here last week at my gorgeous little cousins 15's. Most of the things about this banquet hall are pretty standard: Its located in the second floor of a shopping center, the space inside is pretty ordinary... white tiles, fabric draped from the corners of the ceiling to the center chandelier, stage at far end of the room. There were a couple things that stood out to me though; The ladies room was a strange layout. You pretty much walk into a big space with a couple of sinks... then there are two separate stalls on opposite ends of this room. The space does allow for the 'line' to stay inside the bathroom area... but the lack of multiple stalls kinda holds the process up. So... later in the evenings when people have had drinks/food the line was a little annoying. The bar/bartender was great. It was a pretty big bar and it was located at the opposite side of the ballroom (opposite to the stage and dance floor) which was great. I have been to a couple of events in banquet halls where the bar is next to the dance floor and everyone gets all jumbled up while waiting for a drink. Anyway... that was very cool as you could easily get your drinks without interrupting the flow of the party. The bar tender and serving staff were also very lovely. The bar tender would pour decent drinks (the parents of the b-day girl paid for premium which I know is not the bar tenders doing... but he was not stingy with it lol) so that was cool. Less trips to the bar. All in all I liked this banquet hall above allot of others. The food was pretty standard banquet hall food... nothing to write yelp about. The DJ was good... kept everyone on the floor all nite. All in all, better then MANY MANY other banquet halls. If you're planning an event that warrants such a venue I'd definitely check this place out. read more

My baby shower was this past weekend and I left VERY satisfied with Illusions Banquet Hall. I was in a great search for finding the best banquet hall that I could find for my baby shower. Since this was my first baby in 14 years. This was the first banquet hall I toured. But, I decided to tour some more. At the end, I came back to this banquet hall because it was literally THE best one I saw. It had all the important factors that I was looking for in my baby shower. When I bought the package, it was really affordable. I was surprised when I saw this price and saw all the great reviews for this place. Their recommendations were spectacular. I came with the idea of the colors of brown and blue. But, they recommended me the colors of green and yellow, which was kind of awkward for me because I have never seen these colors at a baby shower. They also recommended me this great entertainment that EVERYBODY like and laughed at. I didn't have to do anything for this baby shower, literally everything was made. The day of the shower, I went to the banquet hall and EVERYTHING was there and ready. The tables were setup, the decorations we're up and ready. The employees and cooks were very nice and polite and the DJ was very cooperative and knew all the songs that I wanted. The host was very formal and gave a great speech. At the end, everything came out PERFECT! All my friends were very surprised and told me that everything came out fantastic. My friend had her baby shower here on Sunday. The location was convenient and did have plenty of parking. The banquet hall was very spacious and nicely decorated. Bartenders and wait staff were very personable. Regarding the food, I rarely have good experiences with food served at banquet halls but the meal they served which was chicken, rice and plantains which was good. read more

Came here today for my soon to join us Goddaughters Baby Shower. The location is perfect, right next to major highways in Dade County ( 826/836/ TPK). The banquet hall itself is very nice and well decorated. They seemed to have it all under control for the parents to be. The bartender was really nice and the selection of drinks was a 6 of 10. Music was ok, and the servers fid their respective jobs. Plenty of space for roughly 200 guests, the dance floor is very spacious. And the layout is very well thought out. I just celebrated my 50th birthday on the smallest hall of Illusions. It has a capacity of 70 people and I had 55 guests. I planed the event with months in advance. The manager's customer service was outstanding since day #1. The party was excellent including the DJ, the food, the personnel during the event , the decorations etc. Many of our friends said that they will organize parties in a future on the same hall, because everybody had a great time. After scouting endless venues to host our Annual Christmas party, I ended up securing this spot due to the lucrative price, amazing customer service, and amount of extras included in the package. Letty facilitated me with a tour of the salon and kept in contact with me throughout the entire planning of the event. They offered the most at the best price and I knew that after seeing the beautiful Salon C that my event was going to be tasteful and easy for my guests to locate. They have a very nice exterior and ample parking to accommodate parties both large and small. Located in the Fountainebleau area, it's close to all the major highways and roads in the Miami area. Our event ended up being awesome and the DJ played all the tunes I had emailed him for the playlist. This place is great and for the price, you can't beat it. My wedding was perfect. From the chapel to the reception room to the staff everything was perfect. Lettys was a sweetheart from the beginning to the end. She was always available to answer any questions I had and to meet all my needs. The lady who decorated was a love super sweet and super nice(I forget her name) the night manager was so attentive and nice and assisted me with all my needs. Mayte the MC WAS THE BEST sweetheart, friendly and knew how to get the party started she even danced with the kids for a few super sweet. Dj Iron Mic was the best I sent him a list of all the songs I needed and how I needed them and he met my expectations! The food was great and the staff was super friendly. On June 16th. 2018 we celebrated the 50th birthday of my sister. For this celebration we chose the Illusions Banquet Hall. This was the best decision we could have possibly made. The celebration was like a dream. Everything was perfect thanks to the wonderful service and the magic location. The food was great, the best "congri" I ever tasted. The DJ was the very best!!! He chose the perfect music during the party, the 40 guests where dancing all the time!!! Illusions banquet hall has been nothing but amazing! We live in NYC and our involvement was limited solely to the meal selection, in the set up for our daughters baptism reception. Everything was decorated with exquisite taste and the food was amazing!!!! I chose the vegetable lasagna and Greek chicken as the main course. They also included a beautiful cake, DJ, light show, and cider for toasting. We really left this party completely in their hands, and they delivered a beautiful event! Had my baby shower there yesterday. Initially we had planned for 100 guest and a week before we called to add 10 more, Leti was very nice and accommodated the extra 10 guest for 200$ which was perfectly fine with us. They added 1 extra chair to every table making it 10 tables of 11 guest. My mother and mother in law who hosted the baby shower went Saturday,the day before the shower to start setting everything up which was awesome for them to allow it because there were no Parties in that salon. The day of the shower we got there at 12:30 pm to finish setting up for the shower they had moved many things we brought behind the bar with out letting us know, but no big deal . My main concern was when my guest began to tell me that one of the staff members who was an older Hispanic male was very rude . I didn't think much of it until he started being rude to my mother and me . I was appalled by his lack of professionalism. On top of that the tables weren't all full because not all 110 guest showed up and still people were not fed meaning that we paid extra ones for no reason because 6 guest were not able to eat because there wasn't enough food . My guest also told me that the food was not good and that the chicken was terrible . But besides the horrible staff member, missing food, and bad food the actual space was nice . We decorated everything and made everything by hand so the decorations looked beautiful we didn't really use what they provided . Honestly would never host anything else there ever again . read more

had my wedding here in July of 2016, the venue itself is nice. the actual staff on the day of the event were great. HOWEVER, the vendors that they work with and that you have to use in their packages, such as their photographer Marcos Cello photography, was absolutely horrible!!! they rushed me through my entire day when it came to pictures. the quality of the pictures were HORRIFYING. i wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. my wedding was in JULY of 2016, it is now MARCH 2017, still haven't received my pictures or video. i've been getting the run around for MONTHS. the last excuse was that he was out of the country. he lies and acts like he doesn't understand English. my proofs were HORRIBLE. most of my pictures were taken with things in the background, people in the background, eyes were closed in most of my pictures etc.he refuses to correct the extra things in the pictures. and wont release my copyrights for me to get them fixed by someone else. i would NOT EVER recommend doing business with this guy!!! and the banquet hall wont compensate for any of this. ive been in constant contact with both the banquet hall and the photographer, and they both always have contradicting stories.my complete wedding experience is ruined thanks to the banquet hall. i also paid for 120 people, when the guest arrived for the ceremony space, there weren't enough chairs to seat 80, yet alone 120. so they had to squeeze even more chairs in right before the ceremony started. it was also HOT, meaning that they didn't turn the a/c on in enough time to cool the place down before my BIG DAY!!! so needless to say, me and the entire wedding party were sweating most of the time during the ceremony. And naturally, seeing that the photographer did a HORRIBLE job taking pictures, it all showed up in my PROOFS (which by the way, that all ive received ). and i'm sure my video looks a mess. (ill update WHENEVER I FINALLY RECEIVE IT). my overall experience with this hall and its vendors were complete GARBAGE!! I would NEVER recommend them. read more

Terrible banquet hall; super disappointed. We hired this banquet hall for my sisters quinces and yes the banquet hall is very spacious and beautiful but unfortunately the employees and vendors they hire are the most unprofessional in this business. The day of the party, the limo was late so we called him to see when he would arrive.. he said he was right around the corner it wasn't until 15 mins later that he arrived. This threw off our entire schedule and we barely got any pictures of the court in front of the limo. Then he decides to take the most traffic filled street and ends up even more delayed! (We left 10 mins after them in a separate car and got there 30 mins before them) We had to put our guests in a separate room so she and the court can come into the banquet hall unseen. The WORST part of the night would be the video and pictures(FONG), you can literally cry at how unprofessional the video was filmed and edited. Shaky! Out of Focus! Didn't film the entrances!!! (There was even a point where a couple exited the limo two times and they didn't cut it out of the finished video)The DJ booth is so outdated that the fuses busted TWICE while out guests were dancing! Meaning mins went by and there was no music playing, HUGE DISASTER; People started leaving early because of this inconvenience. And the music was even boring at first then after that big mishap the party started getting better they decide to stop filming! We paid 100 extra for my sister to have the cake of her dreams with edible pearls all over the cake and you can count only 20 tiny beads on the cake; they thought they can get away with just making the illusion of the pearls with ICING. We pointed that out to the owner and he just said to take a picture and complain to the cake designers to see if we can get our money back. We wanted to show a slideshow during dinner so we went to test it out at the hall beforehand and when we asked Lettys for the remote for the tvs she told us she doesn't control that, and that we would have to call the DJ for permission ?? She was absolutely no help and MESSED up the chair arrangement for the party that caused a riff between our family with the seating!!! It was problem after problem after problem!!! They only wanted to give us an extra 15 mins for the time we lost because of the limo trouble for compensation, we had to argue with the DOC to give us at least 30 mins ! It wasn't enough for what we lost :( read more

I give this facility one star and don't feel they should even get that. I unfortunately had to call of my wedding after already paying for half of it. I really had not chosen anything other than a few basics. Once I contacted them to tell them of the cancellation they told me I could not get any of my money back. In their contract it does not have a cancellation policy. So basically they stole my money and will not refund any of it. I have no problem with them keeping a percentage but the whole amount paid that is just so ridiculous. Not only am I dealing with no longer getting married but I also have to fight for a refund as well. I am so upset and disgusted with the whole scenario that I don't even know where to begin. I can only say that I would no longer recommend the facility to anyone. They do not care about their clients at all. I feel as though I have been robbed. I have to work just like they do and having that much money stolen from me is heartbreaking. read more
