I hired Chef Alice through Cozymeal for a 3 course meal I wanted to surprise my husband with for his 40th birthday. I, my husband and our guests were over the moon with Chef Alice's food, presentation and ability to pivot on the fly when one guest needed an unexpected food accommodation. All of the food was delicious, and her cheesecake was beyond delicious with a smooth, velvet-like texture and surprising ginger (subtle, not intense) crust -- everyone was raving about it. I would love to have Chef Alice cook for us again for another occasion. Cozymeal, you provide a fantastic service! read more

Chef Shahida is simply awesome. I surprised my Fiancee with a plant-based dinner at home last night for her birthday, and Chef Shahida was on point. She arrived on time. Was responsive. She was engaging. She is very knowledgeable. Everything about or dinner from start to finish was simply amazing, awesome, flavorful, and delicious. She cleaned up after she used any utensils or pottery, and I appreciate her so much for being available on Cozymeal and for coming to our home to prepare a memorable dinner for my sweetheart's birthday. I high recommend her if you'd like to have plant-based options. You will not be disappointed. read more

We did the professional sushi class with Chef Ben. It was awesome! He was super professional and knowledgeable about his craft. He was also fun which made for a great sushi experience. It was a little pricey, but they provide all the ingredients, come to your house, leave you with some awesome tips and clean up, so I thought it was worth it! We made wagu beef nigiri, salmon nigiri, a dragon roll and a specialty roll. Chef Ben brought dessert as well! I would definitely try another cozy experience for another occasion. read more

This was such a phenomenal experience. I highly recommend if you're looking for a cute little date night. Chef Kira was friendly, knowledgeable, and super cool (her term was "sexy"). We loved every minute of the time in her cute little home. It was warm, welcoming, and fully stocked with great food items. We were able to bring our own choice of beverages, but she had a fridge fully stocked of non-alcoholic beverages. The ingredients she provided were healthy for anyone that may have food restrictions. Everything we touched or made, she made sure to give us the breakdown of why it is important and how to recreate the dish at home. The Chicago Styled Pizza was very tasty. The crust was more of a cornbread style and it hit home to my southern heart. The bruschetta was simple and quick; making it very easy to re-create at home. We made homemade cannolis and oh my, they were to die for. The orange zest really took it to the next level with flavors. The only thing I had wished for was more cannolis. Thank you Cozy Meal, and Chef Kira, for this great time. I will hold this moment in my heart and stomach to share with my loved ones. Food is the bond we share amongst friends and family, and this bonded all of us together. We will be back for other classes!! read more

This was my second ever cooking class, the first was at another school where the objective was to make Thai food. We were divided into groups to do different parts of the meal, and I walked away with only a superficial knowledge of how to make chicken coconut soup. Cozymeal and Chef Rodney's class, on the other hand was great in that we were involved in every aspect (even to loading the dishwasher afterwards). I came away from this with actual knowledge that I feel confident I could recreate the meal in my own kitchen. Chef Rodney has a great personality, he could easily have his own TV show, cooking or otherwise. All in all, it was a fun, entertaining experience, and we gained some practical knowledge that I look forward to using soon! read more

Chef Luca- A Taste of Luxury I gave this experience as a gift to my husband and we were so excited about it for weeks... Chef Luca did not disappoint. He's charismatic, engaging, and educational. We learned so much more than just how to prepare a meal, we learned about how to find quality ingredients; why certain ingredients are better (got to taste the proof,) and where to easily find them. He made it fun and easy, even gave us tips on how to help get our very picky kids to eat more healthy meals... and they actually worked. Yes, the food was euphoric, well presented, and well prepared, but more than that, I feel like we got a full Italian experience. Great food, great wine, and great company. I can't wait to share our new culinary skills with our friends. We've been raving about the whole experience since, but I also am so excited that I have found a unique gift I can give my friends and family, something to not just be placed on a shelf, but an immersive experience that will not be soon forgotten. read more

Wow, such a amazing meal and experience! Chef Rodney's creation was exceptional, and his fun and kind personality was the icing on top. The chicken was perfectly seared and juicy, the sauce so full of flavor, and the asparagus perfectly crispy (something we've never accomplished lol)! Chef Rodney is warm, kind and professional and it's clear why he's had the opportunity to lead culinary experiences and teams all over the country and world. We couldn't have asked for a better night! We highly recommend Chef Rodney and hope to try his other creations in the future! Thank you again, Chef Rodney! read more

When I was invited to this CozyMeal affair, I did not know what to expect. I've never been to a cooking class until now. Would the instructor be warm and easy to follow? Or would they be about as exciting as a wet paper towel? Luckily, we got the cream of the crop. It was set in the perfect location. Inside the Total Wine & More in Brookhaven, there is a culinary classroom. Perfect setting for our "Best of the Pacific Rim" experience. Chef Jarvis was so refreshing. He was down to earth and wasn't condescending during the demonstration. He gave clear instructions but did not make us feel as if we were inexperienced in the kitchen. Even if were really were. He had aprons with our names and the title "Advanced Sushi Chef" on it. That was a very personal touch that made us feel important. Chef Jarvis introduced everyone to all the ingredients that we would use. We identified all the components of the perfect sushi roll. There was a little bit of everything there. There was raw salmon, cuddle fish, crab, chicken and so much more. We even learned what sushi meant. It means vinegar rice balls. I have made sushi 1 time before. And my attempt did not end well. It was not the most appetizing plate to view. Chef Jarvis had a set of principles that he uses when he presents a plate. He incorporates color, height, flavor and white space into every plate. He broke down and explained how each component helps to create a great dining experience. The plate must always look appealing to the eyes. By the end of this presentation, I had consumed soup, salad, sushi and dessert. I don't remember the name of the dessert but it was delectable. It was a peach cobbler-like confection that was superb. It tasted homemade and wasn't drowned in sugar. I did not expect to leave that night feeling so full. I thought that maybe I would get a few small bites but we ate well. Kudos to Chef Jarvis and his fellow chef that helped. This was an incredible experience that everyone in Atlanta and beyond should have. CozyMeal gets the 'Ash Said It' stamp of approval. I cannot wait until next time! read more

CHEF MONICA VEGAN COOKING CLASS I was given this experience by my Husband for Date night as a surprise. Did not know what I was expecting. To start Monica was very welcoming and a bit surprised by my husband not letting her in it was a surprise for me. So we both were surprised in a good way. As we walked in the home was very well kept. Very clean and the dinner table was prepared for guests. We continued in she directed us where to put our items and to make ourselves comfortable, which we appreciated. She began to confirm all the food items we were going to make this night. Needless to say, I was so super surprised by it all. As we are attempting as Vegan beginners and this was so excellent. Monica was super informative and educational in every aspect and she also explained as she was demonstrating various options which meals we could make adjustments to if need be when we are preparing them. Super pleasant personality and was very well prepared, she has all utensils you ever want to have and need as we expect nothing less from a Super Chef. What I appreciated most was she has no pets and her house is very clean physically and regarding food ingredients. Everything she pulled out was either vegan or organic. She was very patient and helpful. Monica was not just a demonstrator she allowed us to get in there and cook also, the true meaning of a Cooking Class. Another good part is we all sit and eat, talk, and learn a little more like a family, and being that she truly enjoys what she does it was like being in a family kitchen and being taught how to cook all over. Thank you, Monica I am very grateful my husband chose this as a surprise for me, it was a super choice. I'm not sure why I see a bad review, especially regarding Dog hair as she does not own any pets, so this could be a mistake. Monica, we appreciate you also sending us all the recipes we made in class and some others. Thanks for your time. We have photos and will upload later if I can. read more

Shout-out to our chef, Shahida! I was given CozyMeal as a Christmas Gift, and while I like cooking classes, I was weary about an instructor into my home and teaching me how to make sushi. Shahida, our chef, was AMAZING! Not only did she arrive right on-time (to the minute), but she was also very down to Earth and made the class very approachable! We learned about the traditional way of rolling sushi vs. the Western preferences and gave honest feedback (as requested). Though I don't think I'll be the next sushi rolling prodigy, it was an amazing experience that I'd recommend to anyone with a slight interest in learning how to properly roll sushi and all the activities that go into the process. read more

We had a great time with Chef Kira. We took the Bruschetta, Deep-Dish Pizza and Cannoli class. The food was so fresh and delicious. Chef Kira offered tips and answered questions. Wonderful evening spent in the house of the Chris, the chef. Great instructor showing us and instructing these non cooks much less chefs to cook the Italian dinner. A fun evening learning and eating and sharing. Nice to know a chef doesn't have to have the most decked out kitchens and uses a kitchen like the general population. He was very knowledgeable and fun to interact with. Enjoyable evening. read more

Chefs are amazing, not so the company. It seems that they live on their chefs' shine. I attended a class with other participants and two of them were rude and self conscient. The chef did her best to put everyone at ease and tried to satisfy all their absurd requests, but the atmosphere was heavy and their behavior hindered other guest's attendance. Is there any control over the participants? read more

Chef Luca is absolutely phenomenal. I booked a class with him for my boyfriend's birthday and it was above and beyond anything I could have expected. Not only did we make delicious food, we also learned so much along the way. It was hands-on, and a when we had questions about the process, Chef Luca gave thorough explanations. I cannot understate just how good the meal was, everything was made from scratch with fresh ingredients. We just finished our class this evening and have already recommended him to several family members & friends. He had us laughing the entire time & we cannot wait for our next class with him!! read more

What an experience!! I attended a pacific rim cooking class with chef Jarvis. I LOVE to cook and to me sushi is more meticulous artful prep than cooking, but my presentation sucks so this was perfect! The ingredients were super high quality and our chef was so personable! He made it seem like we had all known each other forever! I would have liked even more details but that is mostly because I'm more of an advanced cook, I think it was spot on for the others. Omg and I need to know the secrets to his kimchi salad... overall we all had so much fun that no one wanted to leave and we stayed way longer than expected. I came home and told my husband he has to book a class for us! This is a great and different way to enjoy yourself.. especially when you are tired of the hohum usual stuff to do in Atlanta. I know what I'm doing for my bday party!! Chef Jarvis you free?? read more

Cozymeal hosted " Best of the Pacific Rim" experience in Atlanta at total Wine. We Learn how to make sushi rolls. Now I love sushi..But I was a little hesitant first. Since I never taken a cooking class. I did not know what to expect. The class was in the back of total wine. Our instructor was Chef Jarvis Bolton. A well known chef that's been on the food network and recently won the culinary cook fight contest in Atlanta. As I walked in the cooking class. I cannot stop looking at the front table of fresh ingredients that will be used to make the sushi. Each guest had a Cozymeal aprons and a name tag saying sushi chef. I like that the chef first expressed his concerns on cleanliness and allergen before he started. This was very important. Then he gave a us a brief history on sushi and explained all the ingredients on the table. And where you can buy the product if you choose to make one at home. Second Chef Jarvis demonstrated how to make a sushi roll step by step. This was so essential. After the demonstration we all selected our ingredients and made our own sushi rolls. Now my roll had more protein and was more of a burrito.. After we made our rolls he used the left over ingredients to make a salad and soup. Towards the end we all tasted the the rolls we made and sampled others sushi rolls. . The Verdict. I had a blast .Chef Jarvis was fantastic and made sure we were not overwhelmed. It's was fun and very educational. I actually made my own sushi again after this class. And yes I would do this again. read more

Before attending a recent Cozymeal event, I was half expecting a cooking class where you just watch the chef demo the whole time and then just have a few nibbles later but this wasn't the case at all. No empty stomachs or idle hands here. Chef Amanda coached our group on constructing a multi-course Italian dinner. She was very chill but knew her stuff, welcomed questions, and was really patient with everyone. After some snacking, we split up into teams and tackled pasta-making and risotto-stirring as well as tiramisu-assembling. It was really fun to try some new dishes in the kitchen and socialize with the others. The meal was delicious, with the shrimp and saffron risotto being the highlight, for me at least. The group was a little large which led us to not being able to make the salad and dressing ourselves. The poor tiramisu was a weaker dish since it ended up soggier than we would've liked, but the cream and chocolate aspects were stellar. Who knew how much time and effort went into making pasta? It tasted even better knowing you assembled the ravioli! Hope to have another Cozymeal experience in the future! Already considering a class with Chef Amanda for future special occasions. read more

Cozymeal's Incomparable Chef Latisha! Chef Latisha could not have been more professional, warm, creative or skillful. Her three course Upscale Cajun meal knocked my socks off! I couldn't believe such flavors and artfully plated food could be created in my kitchen. The Peach cobbler was surprisingly unique and easily the best peach cobbler I've ever tasted. The entire process was surprisingly hands-on and I actually learned several skills that I can apply to different meals as well as specific recipes that I can build upon and experiment with. My husband and I attended one of the Atlanta Cozymeal's events with Chef Amanda last Friday, and we had a great time! We love to cook at home, so getting to ask questions and learn from a personal chef was a real treat for us. We also left with very full bellies. I really appreciated how Chef Amanda pivoted quickly when one of the guests ruined a selfish-free dish by adding in a shrimp shell. Everything was a bit chaotic, which may be par for the course when 10 people get together to learn how to cook, but she was also laid back herself, which meant she helped to take away some of the stress instead of adding to it and being upset that things didn't go well. The dishes she chose to teach were great options. (Already-prepared salad to eat, handmade pasta, risotto, and tiramisu) My husband and I had never made pasta before, and it was really fun to get to do that! I'm glad there were snacks and drinks to munch on before and during prep time, because the food took a while to be ready. Also, Amanda's friendly and lively personality goes really well with being an instructor! (From my husband: In that atmosphere, Amanda needs to be more focused on directing people, instead of doing things herself. Honestly, though, I think it went super well.) read more
